Welcome Whitehouse church of Christ, Texas: “We want to welcome the Whitehouse church of Christ to the House to House/Heart to Heart School of Evangelism. The attendance of the members and area congregations was impressive. The elders are focused and ready to lead, and the preachers are itching to begin the teaching. Please pray for them as they begin executing the model.”

Glencoe church of Christ, Alabama: Keith Ritchie (evangelist) reports, “The Glencoe congregation had three visitors yesterday. Two ongoing studies are a blessing, but we need more. We are getting ready to have several outreach efforts and are planning on having several before the year’s end. Our shepherds are working hard on keeping the saved and continue seeking those who have wandered away. Our upcoming efforts are bringing excitement, and we are ready to continue to do our part in seeking the lost.”

Hatton church of Christ, Town Creek, Alabama: Chris Miller (preacher) reports, “We met for our mission meal this Sunday; assignments were made for visits. Several new families are visiting us, and they have been invited to a meal after service to befriend them. We are visiting new converts this month; we want to encourage them, but we are also visiting several people with the hope of setting up studies. It has been exciting to see recent converts really become involved and faithful in attendance and really lock in—in Him.”

Petersville church of Christ, Florence, Alabama: Adam Richardson (preacher) reports, “Petersville rejoices that another study has paid eternal dividends! Shawn has been looking for the truth for several months, and we studied through the Back to the Bible series with him last year, but he was not quite ready. Yesterday he submitted to Christ in baptism for forgiveness of sins. We also sent 16 compassion cards and continue to encourage members to reach out to friends, family, and neighbors.”

Central church of Christ, Saraland, Alabama: Steve Jernigan (elder) reports, “We continue to meet and write compassion cards, praying for that good and honest heart that is looking for the truth. This Sunday evening, Derek Brown spoke to the congregation about the mission work that Central has supported for many years with Demar Elam. Near and far, our mission is to reach out to all who will hear the Gospel of Christ. Please pray for the local work as well as the work Demar and Derek are doing in the Philippines.”

Creekwood church of Christ, Mobile, Alabama: Tucker Presley (preacher) reports, “We are continuing our follow-up with VBS visitors. Starting next week, we should be making visits to these families. One family has been here multiple times since VBS and has even expressed interest in placing membership with us! In other news, two studies are still going on, and we recently decided to send out the September issue of HTH to surrounding neighborhoods.”

Cedar Grove church of Christ, Andalusia, Alabama: Joshua Holloway (preacher) reports, “This week we continue to be thankful for the many opportunities God has given us to share the Gospel through our various evangelism efforts. Our outreach programs, including our card ministry and other personal evangelistic works, continue each week as we strive to sow the seed of God’s Word throughout our community. We are continuing regular new convert Bible studies with Ian, Nena, Michael, and Sandy as we seek to encourage and strengthen them in their walk with Christ. We are also thankful to continue studying with several individuals who are not yet Christians, including Casheria, Lontae, and David. Additionally, we have exciting news from our door-knocking efforts. One of the prospects we recently met, Casey, has agreed to begin the Back to the Bible study every Wednesday morning. We start this week. We are grateful for this open door and pray that God’s Word will bear much fruit in her life. We appreciate prayers for each of these studies, for open hearts, and for wisdom and courage as we seek to lead others to Christ.”

Fayette church of Christ, Alabama: Josh Taylor (deacon) reports, “We rejoice with Edwin Avila who was baptized into Christ last evening. He and his sisters have been with us for several years. His sisters were baptized into Christ a few years ago. Edwin has attended services faithfully and participated in youth events, but last evening he made the best decision he will ever make. We are thankful for all the teachers and encouragers along the way that helped sow the seed in his heart. To God be the Glory!”

Northside church of Christ, Harrison, Arkansas: Larry Keener (elder) reports, “Northside church in Harrison has begun transition visits; three visits were made Sunday. We also rejoice in a baptism of one of our youth. Sunday night class for the youth is going through Back to the Bible. To God’s glory.”

Mountain Home church of Christ, Arkansas: Joshua Adams (preacher) reports, “This past week was filled with several victories for Jesus at the Mountain Home church of Christ. One of our members, David Dover, has been leading the Back to the Bible study with a couple, Robert and Virginia Wyble, who   work with him. They have been attending our services since the beginning of the year. Although Robert and Virginia believe in Christ and recognize the value of belonging to a church family, they have been slow to embrace the full response of the Gospel through obedient faith in baptism. Over many weeks of Bible study, along with sermons that reinforced Biblical truth and countless personal moments shared over lunches and dinners, they came to understand the Lord’s invitation. This past Saturday, both Robert and Virginia were baptized into Christ. Their story is a wonderful reminder that making disciples is rarely the result of a single conversation. It is the steady combination of faithful Bible study, consistent teaching, loving relationships, and patient encouragement that God often uses to bring people to Christ. I also want to highlight David’s work. From the very beginning, he took the initiative and faithfully invested in this couple. While my wife and I were thankful to offer support along the way, David deserves tremendous credit for his consistency and commitment to helping lead them to Christ. This weekend also marked our annual end-of-summer youth rally, Christ Quest. More than 400 young people and guests from across Arkansas gathered to hear lessons from Chris McCurley who centered on the theme of God as our one and only God. The weekend was filled with powerful preaching, heartfelt worship, meaningful fellowship, and plenty of good food. Events like these require an army of volunteers, and it is always encouraging to watch so many members step forward to serve with joyful hearts. Finally, on Sunday afternoon we hosted our annual Teacher Appreciation Luncheon. We honored several faithful ladies who are passing the torch to a new generation of Bible teachers and celebrated the completion of our newly renovated classrooms. As we prepare for the fall quarter, every classroom—from cradle roll through sixth grade—is open, staffed, and ready to welcome children. It has been several years since we have had enough children to offer individual classes for every grade level from cradle roll through sixth grade. Seeing those classrooms full once again is an incredible blessing. God is doing something wonderful in Mountain Home, and we are grateful to have the privilege of serving Him here.”

Washington Avenue church of Christ, Jonesboro, Arkansas: Parker Pribble (member), “We announced to the congregation that our Evangelism Supply Table has been set up. It is ready for the members to use and take any materials they may need. Compassion Card Teams were also created and posted on the bulletin board. We are excited to get this program started and begin sending out cards. During the morning worship service on Sunday, Austin preached on John 4 (Part 1), using the PowerPoint. We had a short training session following our evening service; Aaron Honeycutt, one of the elders, went over our bookmarks in detail. The members were asked to write down the names of lost individuals that they want to help bring to Christ. At the end of the session, we prayed as a congregation for all the names on our bookmarks. Lastly, there were two Bible studies this week. Both were with individuals who had attended Bible studies from the previous week.”

Harrisburg church of Christ, Arkansas: Mark Weston (elder) reports, “Things are still going as expected here in Harrisburg. Compassion Card Team 1 wrote 35 cards tonight before services. About nine showed up to help in that effort. We are all convinced that our compassion cards are making a difference in the lives of those who receive them. A local farmer sent us a very nice thank-you card for the cards we sent after his open-heart surgery. We also made some hospital visits to him and his wife. This gentleman is a very prominent figure in the First Baptist church here. He is one of the deacons there, and his card was so thoughtful. His words were, ‘You have a very outstanding outreach program! Thank you, and I hope God blesses you and your church.’ Since all blessings are in Christ Jesus, we know that God will bless us!  These cards are making an impact on our community. We hear it over and over, and that keeps us motivated! Services today were wonderful. Brock did an outstanding job continuing our Back to the Bible study. We can see lights coming on and wheels turning in the minds of our visitors! We had four visitors today. Some were former members, and it was good to see them again. They are thinking about returning and worshipping here. We are working on making 19 new movers baskets. We understand that they are not all new movers to this community. Some of them may have simply moved to a different house in town, but still, it is a contact and an opportunity to get out, visit with them, and share our faith. We will try to get them distributed as soon as they are finished. This will be my last report for a while. My wife and I leave tomorrow for Alaska, and we will be gone the entire month of August. Caleb Henry, another elder here, will be making reports beginning next week. As I said last week, we are leaving things in good hands here! We are growing every day in our confidence about talking with others, inviting people to our assemblies, and just living for Christ. It is truly a blessing to be part of God’s family.”

Margaret Street church of Christ, Milton, Florida: Troy Spradlin (preacher) reports, “It is always wonderful when a blessed soul responds to the invitation and surrenders his or her life to Jesus in obedience to the Gospel. It is an entirely different kind of emotion when a prodigal member makes that long walk to the front during the invitation song. Tears of joy flowed this past Sunday as our brother, Lawrence Carter, returned from the ‘far country’ to be restored to the Lord’s church! We rejoice that a soul which ‘was dead’ is alive again; was lost but now is found! Our current total 2026 Accountability Board numbers are: 217 Contacts Received; 155 Neighbors (Prospects); 787 Compassion Cards sent; 30 Bible studies; two Restorations, and 11 Baptisms.”

Concord Street church of Christ, Orlando, Florida: Billy Dickson (evangelist) reports, “Please join us in praying for our 16 ongoing Bible studies, our new converts, and the continued development of our Transition and Visitor Team. This past Sunday, our Compassion Card Team wrote 90 cards to prospects. We are thankful for the congregation’s willingness to participate in this simple but meaningful ministry, which continues to open doors for relationships and conversations. Please also pray for the mobilization of our Transition and Visitor Team as they prepare to make regular follow-up visits. Our desire is to help every visitor feel welcomed, cared for, and encouraged to take the next step toward studying God’s Word. We are grateful for the opportunities God continues to provide and ask for prayers that He will bless these efforts, strengthen our new converts, and bear fruit through the ongoing Bible studies.”

Stuart church of Christ, Florida: Tom Neth (deacon) reports, “This week was a quieter one, but we continue to be encouraged by the steady opportunities God is providing. The work of evangelism continues as members faithfully build relationships and look for opportunities to share God’s Word. We are excited to begin two new Bible studies this week, bringing our total to five active studies. It is encouraging to see so many members personally involved in studying the Bible with others and allowing God to work through those relationships. Our congregation remains committed to the daily work of outreach through greeting visitors, writing compassion cards, making personal visits, and inviting people to study the Scriptures. These consistent efforts may not always produce immediate results, but they continue to plant seeds and open doors for the Gospel. We remain thankful for all that God has done this year. Year to date, 15 people have obeyed the Gospel in baptism, and we pray for continued opportunities to share His Word and make disciples. We appreciate all continued prayers as we seek to faithfully carry out the Great Commission.”

Niceville church of Christ, Florida: Joe Palmer (preacher) reports, “Last week we reported about the baptism of Mason. Mason is a young man who has been working as an intern on the Air Force base here in our area. He came to church with a couple of his friends. Mason had identified with and worshipped with the church of Christ, so we thought he was our brother. In the study, he said he was not sure of his salvation, and after two studies of the booklet Does it Matter, he was baptized into Christ. Valerie was not ready, but he understood, as did she, that salvation is a personal decision and should not be made based on what another is doing. Another great lesson is that when new people come into our congregation, we do not always know where they stand in the faith. A study is always a blessing. We were also studying with Valerie, who was of a Lutheran background. Valarie was counting the cost of becoming immersed in Christ. She had previously been sprinkled as a baby. On Tuesday night, we studied again. We went over some of the closing verses in Does it Matter, but we focused on two things I had prepared that day. First, we considered scriptures with questions for her to struggle with about her baptism and salvation.  The most convicting was the story of Philip and the Eunuch. It answered her question, ‘Where in the Bible does it say infant baptism is not valid?’ I told her anywhere it says there is a condition required in order to be baptized. We looked at the Eunuch’s question, ‘What hinders me from being baptized?’ The response from Philip is, ‘If you believe you may.’  I asked her if she believed when she was baptized. Second, I found on the internet an official answer to the question about baptism according to the Missouri Synod of the Lutheran church. We read their answer and showed how their statements were both in conflict with their own statements in the article, and in conflict with the scriptures she had learned. After struggling, she made her decision to follow God and the scriptures and be buried, as scripture teaches. The joyous thing was her friend Mason was able to baptize her that night. We will continue studying with them via Zoom and seek to connect them to the congregation where they are attending school. This week we had no new contacts. We had six studies and one baptism.”

Milestone church of Christ, Cantonment, Florida: Randy Brantley (elder) reports, “We had a great morning. Clint, with whom we had just finished Lesson 3 of Back to the Bible on Thursday, put on Christ in baptism this morning. His wife is very close to doing the same.”

Cumming church of Christ, Georgia: Murphy O’Brien (member) reports, “Last week, we made four new contacts, bringing the total for the year to 41. We gathered information on ten new visitors last week, for a year-to-date total of 17. Follow-ups were done with five visitors last week, bringing the total number of visitors followed up with this year to 42. We sent out 18 cards last week, putting the yearly total at 316. There are currently 16 prospects. No Bible studies were held last week, but 39 have been held so far this year. There were no baptisms last week, and one baptism has taken place this year.”

Cartersville church of Christ, Georgia (remote): Charles Harris (regional trainer) reports, “A Back to the Bible, Book 3 study with David and Pamela that was scheduled for today has been rescheduled for Thursday. We met David and Pamela at our community event in July. The HTHSOE Student Program continues to grow as another student enrolled this week.”

Woodstock church of Christ, Georgia: Matt Amos (preacher) reports, “Woodstock church of Christ (WCOC) and the Sunabella Assisted Living Facility (SALF) conducted devotionals on Sunday. We had six non-Christians attend. The Prison Ministry Group is working to obtain more volunteers to help conduct Bible studies. We have one or possibly two volunteers; paperwork is in progress. We had six visitors this past Sunday at WCOC. The Compassion Group sent out seven compassion cards. WCOC had eleven Bible studies last week.”

Gray church of Christ, Georgia (remote): Keith Dixon (preacher) reports, “Things are still slow here, but this is allowing us time to stay focused on what we need to be doing. We had some members out for vacation. When we have one family out, our numbers really fall down. We are still working, and I think we are seeing success. We have sent 35 cards out for the month of July. We have made four visits. We have four prospects also. We understand better that visits need to be made. We appreciate all prayers. To God be the glory!”

Harrisburg church of Christ, Illinois (remote): Doug Berry (preacher) reports, “We have our two new Christians in a Newcomer’s Bible Study once a week and a new family that has been studying on Wednesday night at the church building from the three books! We continue to send out cards, but we need to do a better job of following up. We know that there are many ways we can improve, but we continue on in this great work! We are looking forward to Keno Shrum coming to us August 22-23!”

Lincolnway church of Christ, Columbia City, Indiana: Drew Reese (preacher) reports, “We are still working towards evangelism and trying to keep participation up. We are continuing to grow with two baptisms in the last couple of months. We are still trying to implement more methods for creating contacts. We appreciate all prayers for our efforts!”

Columbus church of Christ, Kansas: Matt Fowler (member) reports, “Our congregation has a lot of works in progress in evangelism. We currently have two Bible studies, and one of our new converts, Mary, plans to start one with her daughter Becky very soon. We appreciate prayers for these studies. Chris and Laura delivered a new movers basket this week. They have two more to give out to folks who were not home. We have been talking about door knocking in our afternoon class. Sunday afternoon my family went out for the first time and attempted it. We knocked 12 doors in an area where we know House to House is not delivered by mail. Three people were home spoke with us. We noted their contact information, and they wanted to be added to the mailing list for HTH.”

Beloit church of Christ, Kansas (remote): Dustin Dougherty (regional trainer) reports, “We had Vacation Bible School all last week. We were so thankful to have a crew from the Covington, Tennessee, church of Christ come and conduct the VBS program for us. We had a handful of kids attend who were not members. Many of the younger kids absolutely loved the program and were excited for each night. We did not have quite the turnout for it that we had hoped and planned for, but if even one person left with a new excitement about Jesus or a better understanding, it was all 100 percent worth it. I have begun training the congregation to use the Believe the Bible booklets during our Sunday morning adult classes. We started this last week by having all the members fill out a pre-study survey so they would be familiar with it. To God be the Glory.”
                                                            
Central church of Christ, Paducah, Kentucky: Adam Faughn (elder) reports, “This was a good week of work. For four evenings, we had a booth at our local county fair. As in past years, we had a good number of people who stopped by the booth. This year, though, we tried to put into place some of the techniques learned at the recent AMC. We did not get quite as many contacts as in past years, but we think that we have more ‘at least warm’ contacts for follow-up work. Some have already started. Several were added to card-writing lists, and others are welcome to a visit. We are praying for an increase! As such, we also have started offering a ‘guest class’ on Sunday mornings. This class will meet only as needed, but we are praying that it is needed often!”

Flatwoods church of Christ, Kentucky: Nathan Adkins (elder) reports, “We continue to have visitors weekly. We had four new visitors yesterday and two last week. Our one-day VBS was held Saturday, and we had one little girl from the community spend the day with us. We have been following up with all of our visitors with cards and visits. This week we are sending out 18 cards.”

Carriage Oaks church of Christ, Bossier City, Louisiana: Andrew Wynne (preacher) reports, “Last Wednesday, Team 2 met to write compassion cards. We are starting to see fruit from our compassion card efforts. Our VBS was this past Saturday. We had several children visit from the community. We collected information so we can send their parents compassion cards. Yesterday, we had a young couple visit with us. The young man is from out of town, but his girlfriend lives close by, and she is looking for a congregation of the Lord’s church in our area. We collected their information so we can add them to our love list to send them compassion cards. Yesterday, I began to go through the first booklet of Back to the Bible in our Sunday AM worship assembly. We are having to restock our evangelism table, so that is a very good sign. Our weekly Bible studies continue with new Christians and non-Christians. Overall, we are taking very positive steps as a congregation to keep our marching orders at the front of our minds. We appreciate all prayers for our efforts that souls will be saved.”

Gonzales church of Christ, Louisiana: Ben Vallery (deacon) reports, “The Gonzales church of Christ signed 15 cards this week to start off the month of August. We continue in prayer as our members are engaged in seven Bible studies.”

Waldorf church of Christ, Maryland: Eric Day (member) reports, “After making our contacts, we started the process of writing cards to our new neighbors. We will continue working on our new mover baskets, while also promoting our ‘Waldorf Community Day’ by conducting porch visits, door knocking, and follow-up visits with the families who received baskets. Also we welcome our neighbors to the building as we did with the American Mission Campaign. We will be having it Saturday, September 12, and will be promoting it wherever we go. We had eight visitors who worshiped with us.”

La Plata church of Christ, Maryland: Eric Sykes (regional trainer) reports, “This week the saints at the La Plata church of Christ wrote 44 compassion cards. We had four visitors. One contact came to visit as a result of our ‘Ice Cream Tour’ last week at the La Plata Town Hall. She said she truly enjoyed the worship service and the love shown to her by our family. She was not able to accept our offer to go out to lunch, due to a prior commitment, but she said she would be back, and we will take her out to lunch then. We baptized Tamar Coons into the family on July 28. She was baptized years ago when she was a teenager, but recently she became concerned about that baptism and started asking questions. We discovered that her reason for being baptized was less about her belief in God and more about pleasing her mom, who was terminally ill and who subsequently passed away. So Sandy sat down with her and took her through Back to the Bible, and after going over ‘Counting the Cost,’ she fully understood the purpose of baptism and the reason why she did it. Our members delivered four more new mover baskets last week. One of the seniors who had learned how to use BTTB earlier this year called this morning and said she had finished Lesson 3 of Back to the Bible with one of the ladies at the senior citizen center that she frequently attends. She said that the lady would like to be baptized. Due to her being in a wheelchair and being partially paralyzed, we are making arrangements to baptize her tomorrow at a local pool. We ask for prayers in this regard. We currently have five open Bible studies. Our New Converts’ class is now entering the fourth week of training in the ‘Beginning of Our Confidence’ class. We appreciate all prayers, but we appreciate prayers especially as we prepare for this year’s Vacation Bible School this weekend. We thank the Lord for all prayers and for His many blessings.”

Fulton church of Christ, Mississippi: Richard Comer (member) reports, “We continue to send about 20 compassion cards per week. We had a Bible study on Saturday, and we plan for Lesson 2 on Wednesday. We also plan on a visit to a new mover.”

Aberdeen church of Christ, Mississippi: Jonathan Hagar (preacher) reports, “We had a great Sunday this week! The church supports an orphanage called Pine Vale in north Mississippi. The whole orphanage came this past Sunday with a presentation and gift to the church. The church recently paid for the orphanage to go to the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum this summer. It was the first vacation that the orphanage has ever taken as a whole, and the Aberdeen church of Christ paid for the whole thing. Some of those kids, even in their teens, had never been on vacation. This trip changed lives in that it brought to life some of the stories from the Bible. Two of the teens were baptized as a direct result of the trip. I am tempted to count those two on the board! Pine Vale was so grateful that the whole orphanage came out to see us, which is hardly ever done. We got to meet all the kids, staff members, and house parents who went on the trip. They presented the church with a scrapbook of the whole trip! It was an amazing assembly. We had our fellowship meal this past Sunday, and the church collectively was greatly encouraged. Next week, we have our Card Writing Sunday, so I am looking forward to that! We had three new contact cards this week for our collection, which is great! The church has three Bible studies scheduled this week with five people. Last week, in visiting a member who is sick, she helped us open the door to a Bible study with her son, who no longer attends church. He was at the hospital. This woman is in her last stage of life, and her main focus is getting her son, who has been taking care of her, back into church. Todd, one of the elders, and I are vehemently determined to help her. We love her and will do everything we can to help her in this noble endeavor. Toward the end of our visit, Todd asked if the son would be willing to study with the church, and he said he would once he gets his mom settled back home. We took that as a ‘yes,’ and I will be calling him this week to set up definitive plans! We request prayers for this prospect!”

Concord church of Christ, New Hampshire (remote): Terry Hale (evangelist) reports, “We had two visitors Sunday. They were given the royal treatment by the congregation. They already seem to be interested in studying together God’s word. We are continuing to encourage and train, especially our new converts. To God be the glory.”

Warners Chapel church of Christ, North Carolina: Todd Hinson (elder) reports, “Warners Chapel church of Christ had an amazing week recently with six baptisms in two weeks and four more since February. Two of those baptisms were a direct result of using Back to Bible material. They are a young couple; the husband had been raised in the church and had been baptized at a young age, but he had left the church when he went off to college. Now he is married with two young children, and he wanted to come back to the church. His wife was raised both Catholic and Methodist. After studying Back to the Bible with the elders, she realized her need to be baptized. At this point, he said he had been struggling about his own baptism. He barely remembered it, and he was not really sure why he was baptized at the time, so he wanted to make that right, and he too was baptized. Five of the ten baptisms were a result of one of our members holding weekly Bible studies after hours at the place of business they own. They invite all of their employees for a study. Two were baptized in May and two more during the week, for four baptisms. Then the parents of one of our members had recently relocated from Chicago and started attending services. After studying with them, the mother decided she was ready to be baptized. It was a great week that seems to have energized the congregation, and we are hoping the motivation continues. Several have expressed interest in learning Back to the Bible, and our minister, Wes Garland, is planning to review the material in some upcoming Sunday night lessons.”

Oak Forest church of Christ, Goldsboro, North Carolina: Dennis May (elder) reports, “This past Sunday afternoon, the Compassion Card group wrote 92 cards, which is great! We also added two contacts to this effort in our worship time together. We have 13 of our 15 new movers baskets ready to be delivered, and some are going out this week. We have been having great Bible lessons in Bible class and worship surrounding baptism. This past week, we had a baptism of a man who questioned his baptism at a very young age and who had fallen away from the church but had recently returned and was faithfully attending church again. After some discussion with two of our elders, he decided he needed to be baptized. We are so happy for him; he is now our brother in Christ, and he has a wonderful smile on his face. This week we will be organizing visits to those who have been on our Compassion Card List to hopefully develop new friends and hopefully develop new Bible studies. Currently, we have three Bible studies in progress. We appreciate all prayers for these studies; we hope to lead these individuals to become children of God.”

Glendale Street church of Christ, Newton, North Carolina: Dayle Taylor (minister) reports, “With prospects, we continue to be blessed with ongoing Bible studies through BTTB with Terry Benton, Donald and Quanda Davis, and the Lockhart family’s relatives, Fred and Connie. Studies with Tyrone Parson are currently paused due to a loss of communication. We are reaching out through a church contact who is familiar with him to learn whether there are any needs or circumstances that have hindered further contact. His soul is precious, and we believe it is important to determine whether an obstacle has interrupted his progress or whether he is no longer receptive to the Gospel. We pray that the former is true and that an opportunity remains to continue encouraging him in the way of salvation. As for new converts, today, August 3, 2026, former prospect Jerry Smith obeyed the Gospel after several months of studying BTTB with brother David Lockhart. We rejoice in the salvation of this precious soul and invite the congregation to celebrate with us. Jerry’s obedience to Christ brings us beyond our annual goal of 10 percent membership growth. White Knoll church of Christ, North Carolina: James Reynolds (member) reports, “We are thankful for all prayers on our behalf. We have put up a tract rack on the wall big enough to hold our evangelism materials due to space restrictions; this is in lieu of a table. We eagerly await the day that we have more to report. Pictures will be incoming soon.”

East Flushing church of Christ, New York (remote): Clarence Jenkins (preacher) reports, “We gave out 101 packets of school supplies on Saturday, and we have 43 contacts for follow-up. We had three visitors this past Lord’s Day. Our metrics thus far through and for August are three baptisms, three visitors, and 43 contacts. We appreciate all prayers.”

Oklahoma Panhandle State University, Goodwell, Oklahoma: Raoul Ferris (director of Bible Chair) reports, “The building we will be using for Bible studies, outreach, and worship is in its final stages of completion. Our goal is to finish it this Saturday, but time will tell. In addition, we assisted this week with a VBS by training the members of Stratford church of Christ in Stratford, Texas, and the Wylie church of Christ who came up to demonstrate using VBS about ‘how to door-knock and make relationships at the door.’ We were blessed with seven teams of four people each. In addition to the door-knocking at homes, we went into local stores and busy parking lots. Altogether, we made 19 contacts, several visitors to the VBS, and one hot contact to follow up with this coming week. I taught how to use a Photo Booth at the VBS, to be used in conjunction with follow-up work from the families that visited. In addition, I have begun to teach organization skills and methods to the members of Stratford church of Christ so they can keep track of their contacts by tracking the initial contact through baptism and new convert’s study.”

Alkire Road church of Christ, Grove City, Ohio: Tony Dunnagan (member) reports, “We had a disappointing Sunday. We did not have any visitors on August 2, 2026. We sent 66 compassion cards and currently have two ongoing Bible studies. We handed out 26 new mover baskets last week to the congregation to deliver. Thirteen were not home, and we hope to deliver to them this week.”

New Concord church of Christ, Ohio: Terry Townsend (preacher) reports, “We had 15 visitors on Sunday (10 of which were one family from Georgia; they were passing through). One of our visitors came back for the second straight week. He and his wife have just moved into our area. Cards were sent to them last week, and a follow-up visit will be made this week. Another visitor that Linda has been studying with came and even stayed for our potluck. Cards will be sent to her this week, as well as a follow-up visit. We have been preparing for our fall Gospel meeting. Announcements have been mailed out to all of our past compassion card recipients, as well as others we want to ‘come and see!’”

Marietta church of Christ, Oklahoma (remote): Chase Green (preacher) reports, “At Marietta, we have reassigned our deacon over education to be deacon over evangelism now, and we have talked about budgeting funds to be used for evangelism purposes. We are currently in the process of setting up two or three families to be our designated folks to take visitors out to eat. The family that has been attending on Sunday mornings ever since VBS came again this past Sunday, and one of these families took them out to eat. The deacon over evangelism is also setting up visits for our 26 contacts who have been receiving cards the last few weeks. We plan to take pies to them and see if we can gauge interest. I have been out of town attending MSOP/Scattered Abroad Network’s Gathered Together Conference on the Psalms, and now am in St. Louis, Missouri, for a youth rally next weekend. I look forward to gathering more information when we return home next week.”

Barnes church of Christ, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma: John Bellah (evangelist) reports, “On Sunday, we continued to pray for those on our contact lists. Team 1 stayed to write cards for four prospects, even though we had several who were out of town. We hope to add a couple of individuals to our prospect list to begin sending cards next week. We also hope to restart our training in the next few weeks after Marion Fox finishes a series on elders and deacons.”

Grove church of Christ, Oklahoma: Juan Jarmillo (preacher) reports, “This past week, we finished sending cards to this last month’s set of prospects. However, this month we are going to be focusing on our past prospects. We are also going to plan to have a day when we will do a game night. Everyone will be invited, including members, youth, and especially the community! We are still in the detail stages, but we pray that this event will get us many more contacts! We appreciate all prayers!”

Guymon church of Christ, Oklahoma: Chandler Henderson (evangelist) reports, “This week we have Keno Shrum here to conduct an advanced training seminar on how to use the HTHSOE model to its full potential by following the examples of Christ, our Master Evangelist. Keno went out with our ‘new movers coordinator’ to train firsthand how to deliver new movers baskets. They delivered three baskets and made one contact. A visitor from the community came to services on Sunday, looking for ‘a church home that only teaches from the Bible.’ Our Pew Greeter Team got his contact information, sat with him at the fellowship luncheon, and set up a time to start Back to the Bible with him. We sent 20 cards to our visitor, and 14 cards to a recent new convert. The advanced training has exposed areas we have been struggling with, and we are looking forward and are eager to fill those voids. We have seven prospects, made three visits, have six more visits planned for this Saturday, and have four Bible studies.”

York church of Christ, Pennsylvania: Mark Rashke (deacon) reports, “After traveling for eight Sundays in a row, it was good for my family and me to be back home in York. Even though we were able to visit a number of wonderful congregations and camps throughout the brotherhood, there is no place like our home congregation! As is the case for many families during the summer months, we have had (and still have) many members who have been away on vacations. However, we have also received some members of the Lord’s church who were visiting our area from out of state. During June and July, we only had two new non-members who visited our congregation. One visitor told us that they were specifically referred to our congregation because of our friendly hospitality. We have continued to send a number of compassion cards to friends, coworkers, frequent visitors, and family of members who have had surgeries or deaths in the family. One of them was a coworker of mine, and she visited the congregation to meet all of the people who attend the church that she calls home. We also have had one gentleman who continues to visit irregularly. We are trying to get to know him better, in an effort to win a study with him. After morning service, we had an evangelism committee meeting (with eight members—a large increase from where we started!) We caught up on the visitors and activity that we have had, and we discussed the outstanding follow-up visits that we need to make in the next couple of weeks. Then we had a prayer and broke to join the fellowship meal. Unfortunately, none of our visitors chose to stay for the meal. We are having a movie night ‘VBS’ on August 15 to see the ‘Jesus’ production by Sight & Sound Theatre, followed by a brief study, and we have printed a number of flyers for that. Fred and Pam will be attending Polishing the Pulpit that week as well.”

Saint Andrews Road church of Christ, Columbia, South Carolina: Jamie Byrom (minister) reports, “This week our congregation wrote 38 compassion cards. We had one visiting family from the community, and they were given a visitor bag; we also received their contact information. One couple that had fallen away has started to come to services for the past two weeks after we sent them compassion cards. We continue to have three in our New Converts’ class.”

Hillcrest church of Christ, Springfield, Tennessee: Tim Taylor (evangelist) reports, “We are looking forward to our Spiritual Emphasis Weekend event this Friday through Sunday, and we will be hosting Brother Lonnie Jones as our featured speaker. We are confident that this will be a boost to our faith and our evangelistic efforts. Trey, one of our members, responded Sunday morning seeking prayers and restoration. A recent visitor has expressed an interest in placing membership with us, and he will be meeting with our elders this week.”

Cookeville church of Christ, Tennessee: Daniel Burton (member) reports, “We are preparing to visit the six prospects who received compassion cards last month. We also have four new prospects for August, and the congregation will be mailing approximately 30 cards each week this month. One Bible study is also continuing. We are thankful for the continued participation. We appreciate all prayers for these individuals as we encourage them and look for additional opportunities to study the Bible with them.”

Collierville church of Christ, Tennessee: Justin Evergarden (evangelist) reports, “I wanted to send over this week’s update from the work in Collierville. Our year-to-date totals now stand at 25 new visitors, 690 cards sent, five visits made, 44 prospects, five active Bible studies, and 62 new movers baskets delivered. While one of our studies concluded, we are thankful for the continued opportunities the Lord is providing as our prospect list continues to grow. We appreciate all prayers and encouragement. We are looking forward to seeing how these contacts develop in the weeks ahead.”

Birdwell Chapel church of Christ, Cottontown, Tennessee: Kerry England (elder) reports, “Over the last two weekends in July, we made contact with 42 families through VBS and a Back-to-School Backpack Drive. Cards are being sent to these families. We are planning to visit the ones who live nearby.”

Soddy church of Christ, Soddy Daisy, Tennessee: Joe Mallory (preacher), “Blessings to all from the Soddy church of Christ! We continue to pray for every evangelist sowing the seed of the Gospel and every heart that the seed finds. Two visitors (now contacts) came and took part in a service project that the ladies put together. We are so thankful for their help and are looking forward to sending them cards of compassion and other ways to thank them! We are thankful for the support and prayers from the School of Evangelism.”

West Sparta church of Christ, Tennessee: Justin Turney (deacon) reports, “We have started our Gospel Meeting this week. From our VBS and now our Gospel Meeting, we have a few good people who will receive cards and visits. We have done really well sending cards, but we examined what we have been doing, and we have not been doing visits as well as we should. We are working to get back to ensuring we are making our visits.”

McEwen church of Christ, Tennessee: John Jones (preacher) reports, “We had two baptisms in the middle of the night, thanks to Back to the Bible! One of our members was studying with his sister-in-law, and after the baptism study, both she and her sister, our member’s wife, decided to be baptized. The sister-in-law had never been baptized before, and the wife of our member realized that she was baptized for the wrong reasons earlier in life. What a day for rejoicing! Our member said it was a ‘two-for-one special!’ ”

White Bluff church of Christ, Tennessee: Shamron Jackson (elder) reports, “We had another great week at White Bluff. Three teams went out for transition visits. We had one really good visit. The family was invited over for a game night, and they accepted. We wrote 120 cards to go out this week. We had over 30 visitors, and several stayed for our first Sunday of the month potluck. We ended the day with Phillip Massingale obeying the Gospel. Praise the Lord!”

Freewill church of Christ, Gainesboro, Tennessee (remote): Andrew Scott (preacher) reports, “We were blessed with several visitors yesterday as three area cemeteries held decorations. More contacts were made. We will be adding two new names to our Compassion Card List; these two people have been struggling with health issues. One of our new converts is planning on preaching soon. He is so excited, and we are thankful to give him the opportunity. We give God the glory.”

Chapel Hill church of Christ, Tennessee: Matt Jones (deacon) reports, “This week we are preparing to have our coordinator meeting. We will be discussing the work in all of our areas. Overall, things are going well. We had a lesson last night encouraging our youth as they head back to school. Isaac challenged them as they were going to be looking for opportunities to teach and make disciples. He also challenged the entire congregation to continue to do the same. We have a couple of men who have been encouraged to reach out to a friend from the past who had recently visited. They did and have started an open dialogue with him, which is a great first step. Building relationships before telling someone about how sin is separating them from God is so important. We pray for this and other opportunities that have come our way.”

Southern Hills church of Christ, Franklin, Tennessee: Fredrick Klein (preacher) reports, “This week, one of our elders suggested we use our homemade cookbook—a compilation of favorite recipes from members of our congregation—as the gift we bring to new movers in our area. The cookbooks are being professionally printed and will be ready soon. We look forward to using them to make contact with our new neighbors and welcome them to the community.”

Mountain Creek church of Christ, Chattanooga, Tennessee: Michael Tomshack (elder) reports, “One of our newest converts had placed his sister-in-law on our Compassion Card List due to her health challenges. Last night, she and her husband attended one of our Connect Groups, providing another opportunity for us to engage with them. Additionally, a new couple attended worship assembly yesterday. They were former members of a church of Christ but have since moved to a denominational congregation. Our Greeting Team was proactive and directed Gary Massey, the Elder and Minister, to visit them for a conversation. Through this interaction, we gained valuable insights, and Gary is now seeking a Bible study to facilitate a restoration. Furthermore, we hosted the Bible Lands Museum at our building from Thursday through Sunday. We will be reaching out to individuals not affiliated with the church of Christ when we compile their contact information.”

Rivergate church of Christ, Madison, Tennessee: Doug Tooley (preacher) reports, “Last week we had four visitors for Wednesday night summer series. On Sunday morning, we had ten visitors. None were interested in lunch. On Sunday night, four of the visitors were back. They have a connection to the church, but I am not sure of their full status.”

Stratford church of Christ, Texas: Chad Theis (coordinator) reports, “We have one Bible study going on and made one visit this week. We will be doing follow-up on three hours of door knocking that seven groups did for our VBS. We will also follow up with a family that attended VBS and had great spiritual discussions with a couple of our ladies.”

Southwest church of Christ, Austin, Texas: Bryce Mayfield (evangelist) reports, “Today, the Southwest School of Bible Studies has begun another school year. We are learning who the students are and how we can plug them in to our evangelism efforts. My goal is to show the students how the House to House Heart to Heart Evangelism model works in practice. We are also prospecting souls so we can continue to have studies. We appreciate your prayers and pray for you all often. To God be the glory in all these efforts.”

San Saba church of Christ, Texas: Justin Bell (preacher) reports, “Things are going great in San Saba! We had a Back-to-School Supplies Giveaway on Thursday. We made three contacts and landed one Bible study. We also have our Back-to-School Pancake Breakfast this Wednesday and hope to make even more contacts then. We currently have 11 prospects and three Bible studies.”

Centerville Road church of Christ, Garland, Texas: Alan Stevens (elder) reports, “We just returned from our Mission Monday gathering. There were 20 people gathered to fellowship in this work. Four transition visits were assigned, and the rest delivered new mover baskets for the month of July. I sense that these meetings are becoming more routine as our confidence builds. Cards continue to be sent, and contacts are being added to our Compassion List. I believe we currently have three ongoing Bible studies, with another to start this week. Our prayer is for humility before God as we do His will and boldness to speak His word uprightly.”

Roanoke church of Christ, Texas: Caleb Rutherford (preacher) reports, “We had another great week of evangelistic efforts. I was able to assign 12 more transition visits. We set up one more study, bringing our total ongoing studies to 11. Some of these other visits were not home, so they will be attempted again later in the week. I also have something of interest to share. There is a young man that I met over two years ago at one of our local restaurants. He and I swapped contact info and communicated back and forth every so often. I kept trying to find a time to sit down and share Jesus with him, but nothing ever worked out. It has been about six months since I last heard from him. This morning (Monday), I got a call from him, and he shared with me that he felt lost in life and really wanted some help and direction. He wanted to sit down over lunch one day this week. Of course, I said absolutely, and we plan to do so on Wednesday. I share this because oftentimes, we can get so frustrated when things are not progressing on our timeline. Why is this study not getting scheduled? Why is this study not advancing as fast as I think it should? We may formulate all of these questions in our minds, but they always revolve around why things are not happening according to our timeline. This particular situation reminded me that God’s timeline supersedes my timeline. God’s timing is perfect; mine is not. I appreciate all prayers for this young man, and for an opportunity to share with him the Gospel.”

Weslaco church of Christ, Texas:  Brualio Carvajal (preacher) reports, “This week we had nine visitors at our Sunday services along with three prospects. We have two Bible studies that are ongoing. This week we prepared 39 backpacks with school supplies to distribute at an apartment complex across the road from our church building. We were able to meet some new people and meet with some others we knew through a previous group Bible study. We had a good attendance in our New Converts’ classes this week.”

Colleyville church of Christ, Texas: John Garza (evangelist) reports, “The congregation at Colleyville just revamped the way we do card writing. It was very successful yesterday, and we have more to follow. We have one new Bible study set up, and another young man desiring to place membership with us. Currently, we are really emphasizing the need to spend more time with the new converts, including studying with them. Soon, we will be training more of the young adults in evangelism techniques. There will be more opportunities for them to serve!”

Northern Oaks church of Christ, San Antonio, Texas: Mel Hutzler (elder) reports, “We have a few Bible studies going on, but some cancellations have caused them to take longer than expected. We had two families place membership recently, and we hope to get them involved in evangelism. Our VBS went very well, and we have a few contacts who will receive cards from us. Our next major events include a Door-knocking Day before our Gospel Meeting. Also, we are looking forward to starting the Enhanced Bible Studies soon, and we hope to make that more evangelistic as well.”

Bridgewater church of Christ, Katy, Texas: Doug Suggs (deacon) reports, “Some of the retired men of our congregation meet once a month and present invitation cards to some of the employees. We pray they will attend. We also mailed out the July issue of House to House Heart to Heart this month to homes in two area codes around the building. We had a couple of new families at our Sunday service.”

Wheeler church of Christ, Texas: Garrett English (preacher) reports, “We completed Lesson 2 of Back to the Bible last week and have a scheduled study this week for Lesson 3. The lady has struggled a little bit but ultimately sticks with what the Word says. The young man is still thinking, but he says he is closer to making a decision. I have a study with him again this week. We have our last VBS this week, and I am sending them home with the latest HTH issue. We will make follow-up visits before school starts.”

North Jefferson church of Christ, Mount Pleasant, Texas: Davin Whatley (associate minister) reports, “Reach Team 1 met yesterday and wrote cards. On Sunday evening, we discussed reaching the prodigals, and we will start incorporating the lost into our card lists. At North Jefferson, we wanted to improve our card participation before reaching out to previous members. From January 1 to April 26,
we were averaging about 38 cards a week, but from May 3 to now, we are averaging 70 cards a week. Therefore, we feel much better about flooding our prospects with love. Scott, one of our members, went to Whitehouse for their Evangelism Seminar with Rob, and he really enjoyed it. We are excited to work hard this upcoming week!”

Seagoville church of Christ, Texas: Kodie Martin (evangelist) reports, “We rejoice to have one of our prospects, Bill, return to the Lord and place membership with us. He had previously been away, but through prospecting and visits, he has officially returned to the flock! Now, our brother who had made the visit will keep visiting with him, and they have a family study set up together with their parents’ wives for increased teaching/time together. We also are blessed with numerous visitors/opportunities weekly, and made another prospect through one of our visitors yesterday, who is the brother of yet another visitor/prospect we have already made. Additionally, several sisters have an ongoing Bible study with Priscilla, another prospect, which is looking very fruitful!”

Williamsburg church of Christ, Virginia: Jim Bishop (elder) reports, “As we look forward for the next few months, Williamsburg church of Christ plans for two door-knocking events. One door knocking event will be August 16. We also plan to support the September 19 HTHHTH Door-knocking Campaign. Preparing for door-knocking, we plan to distribute door hangers in the locations we plan to visit. Bookbags and school supplies are being completed for distribution on August 15. Bag lunches will be distributed in a couple more weeks. We pray for all those working to spread the Gospel.”

West Side church of Christ, Salem, Virginia: Jeff Durham (elder) reports, “We continue having guests attend our services and events. One young lady and her boyfriend attended after being invited by a West Side family while shopping at a local retailer. They spoke highly of their experience of the worship service and the friendliness of our church family. Our studies this month focus on ‘Kindness; from the Fruit of the Spirit’ in Galatians 5. Having a mindset that looks for opportunities to show kindness to others often opens the door to a religious discussion. It always presents a positive example to others when we seek ways to let the light of Christ be seen in us.”
