Glencoe church of Christ, Alabama: Keith Ritchie (evangelist) reports, “The Glencoe church of Christ in Alabama records the following for the month of August: 69 visitors, 15 prospects, 192 compassion cards sent, 44 visits made, one ongoing Bible study, and ten baptisms. We are excited to kick off September with Friends and Family Day on September 6th. This also begins our annual ‘Arise to Truth’ lectureship. Lord willing, we will have a good number of visitors for this effort. We also have another Bible study with a prospect starting this Saturday morning. This will make two ongoing studies. Let’s keep praying, working, and sowing. To God be the glory!”

Petersville church of Christ, Florence, Alabama: Adam Richardson (preacher) reports, “Chris Miller (preacher of Hatton) and I just finished talking to the leadership at the Salem church of Christ about the program, and it went very well. Petersville has a family retreat this weekend, and one of our prospects is coming; we expect it to lead to more study opportunities. We sent out 48 compassion cards this past week.”

Hatton church of Christ, Town Creek, Alabama: Chris Miller (preacher) reports, “We had ‘Friends Night’ last Wednesday night; the youth were challenged to have 60 in attendance by inviting their friends.  They were fed a meal before class, and we recorded their names and addresses as part of the goal; then they had class and afterward had ice cream. The point was obvious: to find more people with hopes of getting studies. The last one of these we had was highly successful. We will be meeting this Sunday to assign visits, and our goal is to schedule studies with 10 prospects.”

Creekwood church of Christ, Mobile, Alabama: Tucker Presley (preacher) reports, “We hope to set up a Bible study with a visiting family soon. We have not been generating a lot of contacts the last couple of weeks, but we are still writing cards to the few contacts we have. We are still waiting to see some results from making visits to VBS visitors as well.”

Cedar Grove church of Christ, Andalusia, Alabama: Joshua Holloway (preacher) reports, “This week, we continued our evangelistic efforts through six Bible studies, along with our ongoing card ministry and other outreach efforts. One study in particular has become especially urgent. This week we completed the first booklet of Back to the Bible with Casey. She has recently been told that she may have only six months to live. With that news weighing heavily on her heart, she has expressed a strong desire to make sure she is right with God. After completing our study this week, Casey asked if we could begin studying three times a week. She has been very honest as we have looked at the Scriptures together, and she is eager to learn and follow the truth of God’s Word. Please keep Casey in your prayers as we continue studying with her. Pray that she will have the strength, time, and opportunity to continue searching the Scriptures and that her heart will remain open to the truth.”

Washington Avenue church of Christ, Jonesboro, Arkansas: Parker Pribble (member) reports, “We rejoice as one of our members shared that his wife had decided to put Christ on in baptism! Since this was the fifth Sunday of the month, our young men led the worship for our evening service, and this brother was one of the speakers. Before starting his lesson, he thanked every member who sent his wife a compassion card, as it had a massive impact on her. Our hearts are filled with gratitude and joy as a great burden has been lifted from them both. We give all the glory to God, who made all of this possible. This week marked the first complete rotation of our Compassion Card program. A few members from all three card teams filled out cards following the evening service. In total, they filled out 184 cards for eight prospects. Four of these prospects will be moving to the transition visit this upcoming week. Our Visitor Bag team also met on Saturday to work out the plan for this program. They posted a list of necessary items so that the congregation can begin donating them.”

Mountain Home church of Christ, Arkansas: Joshua Adams (preacher) reports, “This past week in evangelism, we completed a series of lessons emphasizing the importance of the Christian home as a billboard for the Gospel, as well as the responsibility we have to be witnesses to those who are lost. These lessons reinforced the heart of our congregation’s evangelism efforts and encouraged us to be intentional in how we interact with those outside the church, particularly as our families transition back into the routines of the school year. Additionally, we hosted an area-wide singing on Sunday evening. Our congregation was especially encouraged to hear many of our young men lead the singing. This remains a favorite event for our congregation and provides an excellent opportunity to encourage and train the next generation of leaders. Finally, we have been working with a couple who have recently begun attending our services. I am preparing to have a Bible study with them soon, and I am encouraged by their apparent eagerness to learn and their potential for continued growth. We are thankful for the opportunities God continues to provide, and we look forward to seeing where these relationships may lead.”

Northside church of Christ, Harrison, Arkansas: Larry Keener (elder) reports, “Northside in Harrison continues transition visits. One Bible study continues. One Bible study was stopped. Another visiting family was engaged by our trained team members. Our teenage class is now in Book 2 of Back to the Bible. Pray for the teens that are not yet Christians. To God’s glory.”

Harrisburg church of Christ, Arkansas: Mark Weston (elder) reports, “We finally made it back home, and we are trying to get a grasp on everything. We had a great trip in Alaska, and I was able to preach one Sunday in Homer. The churches are small where we were and kind of scattered, but the brethren were very warm and hospitable. It has always been a great pleasure of ours to visit with other brethren when we are traveling. Being gone all of August was hard on me. I did not worry that our church family could not handle things; I am just a hands-on kind of guy who likes to be in the swing of things. It was hard as the coordinator not being involved daily, but they all stepped up and kept things going. I do know that for August, about ten new movers’ packets were delivered. Our card writers mailed 135 compassion cards, and I have had several good conversations with people. I am not aware of any current Bible studies, but I hope that will change soon. I hope to start some refresher training soon, especially on the bookmarks and individual contacts. I hope to have more promising information in the near future.”

Margaret Street church of Christ, Milton, Florida: Troy Spradlin (preacher) reports, “One of our members recently stepped out on faith and asked a co-worker to study the Bible with him. His co-worker said, ‘Yes,’ and he added that he had been wanting to study! Over several weeks, they completed all three books of Back to the Bible and established that baptism was necessary for salvation, but the co-worker decided not to obey the Gospel at that time. That happens sometimes. Even after several enthusiastic Bible studies, even after coming to an understanding of salvation, even after coming right to the foot of the cross, sometimes people still say, ‘Not now.’ Nicodemus fits that profile (John 3:1-21), and the rich young ruler as well (Mark 10:14-22). Fortunately, our brother in Christ is not giving up. More Bible studies are scheduled to water the seed that has been planted. We know that God will give the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6)! Our current total 2026 Accountability Board numbers are as follows: 249 Contacts Received; 205 Neighbors (Prospects); 910 Compassion Cards Sent; 40 Bible Studies; two Restorations; and 13 Baptisms.”

Concord Street church of Christ, Orlando, Florida: Billy Dickson (evangelist) reports, “We are excited to welcome our new brother in Christ, Colin, who was baptized on August 30. With Colin’s baptism, Concord Street has now had 13 baptisms since our evangelism seminar. We rejoice over another soul coming to Christ and ask for prayers for Colin as he begins his new life in Christ. Our Transition Team is also gaining momentum and has begun making more visits to prospects. We are encouraged to see the team putting their training into action and building relationships with those we have been reaching through our Compassion Card ministry. Please continue to pray for our new converts, those currently studying the Bible, and the prospects we are visiting. Pray that God will continue to open doors and give us opportunities to share His Word.”

Stuart church of Christ, Florida: Tom Neth (deacon) reports, “This week we were blessed to witness another life changed by the Gospel. One of our teens, Landon, studied with Rich, one of our ministers, and Landon decided to obey the Gospel and was baptized into Christ. We are especially thankful to see one of our young people take this important step of faith. This baptism brings our total to 16 baptisms year to date. We give God the glory and are reminded once again of the power of His Word when we faithfully invest in people and give them opportunities to study and grow. We continue to be blessed by visitors, and one of those visitors this week has now led to a new Bible study. This is exactly the kind of opportunity we are working to create—welcoming people, building relationships, and then taking the next step by sharing God’s Word with them. With this new study, we currently have four active Bible studies underway. We are encouraged to see these studies develop naturally out of the relationships our members and ministers are building. We are thankful for the way God continues to bless these efforts.”

Niceville church of Christ, Florida: Joe Palmer (preacher) reports, “Last week we did our first community event at the local college. Hayden Baker and two of our members went out and set up a table for orientation. We added some names and made some contacts. Sunday, we started a Young Adult class, trying to reach out and form a new group. This week we sent out 16 cards and have studies. This week, I started an online study with two of our recent converts who moved away because they were interns. We had 11 visitors Sunday. We are working with two families and a few single adults. One follow-up was from those visitors, and some relationships are forming. Today, we had one baptism as Mike Martin put on Christ. Mike has worshiped with us for many years but was unsure of his past baptism. After studying with him today, he wanted to be sure of his salvation.”

Woodstock Church of Christ, Georgia: Matt Amos (preacher) reports, “Two weeks ago, Woodstock church of Christ and the Sunabella Assisted Living Facility (SALF) conducted devotionals on Sunday. Six non-Christians attended. The Prison Ministry Group is working with the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) to get volunteers cleared so we can continue conducting Bible studies. We had seven visitors. The compassion group sent out 30 compassion cards. WCOC had two Bible studies last week. This past week, we conducted devotionals on Sunday. Five non-Christians attended.  The Prison Ministry Group has obtained a newer, more modern, and better version of a deployable baptism pool. This gives us three options, depending on who, what, when, where, and how the baptism will take place. We had ten visitors this past Sunday at WCOC.”

Cumming church of Christ, Georgia: Murphy O’Brien (member) reports, “We had two new contacts last week, bringing our total for the year to 64. We received one new visitor information card last week, bringing our total for the year to 18. We followed up with one visitor last week, bringing our total number of visitors followed up with this year to 50. We sent out 57 cards last week, bringing our total for the year to 620 cards sent. We currently have 20 prospects.”

Warner Robins church of Christ, Georgia: Damien Walker (evangelist) reports, “We had 14 visitors this Sunday, and several of them stayed for our potluck lunch. We will have our transition team visit this coming Sunday (we do them on first and third Sundays), so we should have more to update next week on visits and Bible studies. However, we have been building relationships with some of those on our radar, and we are confident that God will open more doors to study the Bible with people.”

Cartersville church of Christ, Georgia (remote): Charles Harris (regional trainer) reports, “Bible studies are beginning to add up, which means baptisms will take place soon. We are having Friends and Family Day in another week. We are praying for many contacts. The HTHSOE Student Program has enrolled another student. A student who enrolled over a year ago has decided to focus more on the work. He is working hard to become a soul winner. His efforts motivate me to grow stronger as well.”

Gray church of Christ, Georgia (remote): Keith Dixon (preacher) reports, “We sent 16 cards out last week with a total of 95 for the month of August. We attempted one visit. We are planning a door-knocking. To God be the glory.”

Collinsville-Troy church of Christ, Illinois: Jason Wright (evangelist) reports, “Summer vacation and travel are winding down, and school is back in session. Things are getting back to normal. We had a coordinator’s meeting on Sunday. Members are content and happy in their role, and they are working hard. This past week, we conducted six Bible studies that led to the baptisms of Kloie and Austin. They were baptized Sunday morning. They have two young children and want peace in their home that only Christ can provide. We met Friday night to deliver New Movers’ baskets. Sixteen of us delivered ten of 30 and gained five contacts. One ongoing study involves two of our teens and their classmate. The teens attended Roanoke AMC and are now putting their training to work. We had 13 attend our Clothing Closet, and we gained two contacts from that. We are excited about what the rest of the year has in store.”

Harrisburg church of Christ, Illinois (remote): Doug Berry (preacher) reports, “We went door-knocking on the Sunday afternoon that Keno was with us. From that door-knocking, we gathered Wednesday evening for a different style of Bible study at one of our elders’ homes. It was for a devotional, fellowship, and writing cards. We had 12 contacts and involved a lot more people in writing cards, which was great! We are still writing cards this week from that, as we are sending out 12 more cards to those people, plus we have seven more cards to send out this week! We have sent over 900 cards since we started this effort! We have a lot more to do and still more to learn as we work and move forward.”

Columbus church of Christ, Kansas (remote): Matt Fowler (member) reports, “The month of August was one of good labor for us. We went out on two small door-knocking campaigns, and Chris and Laura continued their work with New Movers baskets. Forrest visited on Sunday after receiving one of the  baskets. He stayed for our fellowship meal and plans to be back. He seems to be searching. We request prayers for him to stay connected so we may have more opportunities with him. We had seven visitors this month, and six of them were local. We are continuing to send out compassion cards to encourage them to continue attending. Keep up the great work, brethren! We draw great encouragement from the reports.”

Beloit church of Christ, Kansas (remote): Dustin Dougherty (regional trainer) reports, “This Sunday, my wife and I were with the congregation in Ransom, Kansas; we had 24 in attendance. In Beloit, our visitor that came a few weeks ago, after receiving a New Mover’s basket, came back on Sunday. We had been prospecting him two cards a day for a week.  We will continue prospecting him and pray a study will come from getting to know him. Our two prodigals who have recently returned have been doing well in their attendance; we appreciate all prayers for them. To God be the glory.”

15th Street church of Christ Ottawa, Kansas (remote): Brady Altic (associate minister) reports, “We are back in town and excited to get back into a routine of evangelism! Tonight, Clayton plans to continue a study with a couple; they will go through Back to the Bible Lesson 2. We are excited to hear the results. Meanwhile, my wife and I have scheduled supper with a local couple who has been attending Sunday services for about a month, and we will start with Lesson 1 of Back to the Bible. Cards are being sent to a man who just lost his wife; we hope to comfort him through this hard time and hopefully open his heart to the Gospel. There is a car show in town later this month, and we are hoping to have a booth set up there. We appreciate all prayers for us and those who are continuing in Bible studies. We also appreciate prayers for our congregation to stay steadfast in this work for the Lord.”

Central church of Christ, Paducah, Kentucky: Adam Faughn (elder) reports, “We are rejoicing again, as Duane Kindred was baptized last Friday afternoon. Duane was raised in the church but had not attended regularly for decades. After a recent difficult life event, he started attending and studying. Last Friday, he met me to say, ‘I need to be baptized.’ After a brief study, it was a joy to see him immersed. He came Sunday with a huge smile on his face! We also continue to follow up on our work at both the fair and the Farmers’ Market. At least two Bible studies will occur this week from those, and a third may start. We are so grateful for people who are seeking the Truth!”

Spring Creek church of Christ, Hickory, Kentucky: David Morse (elder) reports, “Greetings from the Spring Creek congregation. We were encouraged to have three new visitors this past Sunday from our community. That brings the total to eight new visitors who have joined us over the past month. The other five have returned now for multiple Sundays. Our Red Group met after Sunday morning worship services to write cards. On Sunday morning, Samuel’s adult class lesson focused on not being complacent in our work for the Lord, specifically our evangelism efforts. Our leadership group continues to meet every Wednesday prior to our Bible study hour. Our numbers this week include: Visitors – 35, Prospects – four, Cards – 2,732, Bible Studies – three, Baptisms – five, Baptism Goal – seven.”

Carriage Oaks church of Christ, Shreveport, Louisiana: Andrew Wynne (preacher) reports, “This week was very encouraging at the Carriage Oaks church of Christ. Our compassion cards continue to go strong. Today, we concluded our leadership seminar with Jason Rollo and Rick Popejoy. It was a three-day effort that covered a range of topics and tied leadership to each one. We had good attendance today; we also had visitors. Some were from out of town, but we collected information on a college student who just moved to our area. We plan to add her to our Compassion Card List. We request prayers for our work.”

Gonzales church of Christ, Louisiana: Ben Vallery (member) reports, “The Gonzales church of Christ sent 14 cards this week to wrap up this month’s card program. The New Mover’s program continues to progress, and we continue in prayer for our Bible studies. Our New Converts’ classes continue.”

La Plata church of Christ, Maryland: Eric Sykes (regional trainer) reports, “Overall, we had a productive week. The saints wrote 38 compassion cards. We welcomed nine visitors; one of my son’s co-workers, Frank, showed up for our Wednesday night Bible study class. So, we taught Back to the Bible,Lesson One, instead of our regularly scheduled Bible study lesson. He loved it. He plans to come back for class this week. We have a standard practice of switching to BTTB when visitors come to class. We appreciate prayers for this regard. Our team members for transition visits delivered eight transition gifts this week to folks on our Transition Visits List. Our New Mover’s team put together 17 gift baskets to be delivered to this month’s new movers. We currently have six open Bible studies. We appreciate all prayers as we continue to share the Gospel of Christ in our community.”

Waldorf church of Christ, Maryland: Joseph Day (member) reports, “We had five visitors this week. We conducted two Bible studies during the week. We had one baptism today (Claudia Lopez de Arana), and we will write compassion cards on Wednesday.”

Fulton church of Christ, Mississippi: Richard Comer (member) reports, “We continue to send about 20 cards per week. We went door-knocking yesterday; we made one contact. One new mover basket was given this week. We are planning for a Fall Festival in October and inviting non-members. We will door-knock in September.”

Concord church of Christ, New Hampshire: Terry Hale (member), “Our visitor greeters did a good job this week; we had multiple visitors at all our services. Now we are mailing cards and will continue mailing as we set up for the transition with these hot contacts. We also had a couple of studies last week. Mike is studying Does It Matter?, and he has been to many classes and worship services in the last year. Another study started with Believe the Bibleand transitioned to Back to the Bible, which has led us to a brother and sister in Christ. We welcome Justin and Stephanie to the family in obedience to God. We have several others we are working toward transitioning from prospects to Bible studies. We appreciate all prayers. This small congregation is dedicated to following Jesus’ example in evangelism. This is the ninth baptism since January. To God be the glory.”

East Flushing church of Christ, New York (remote): Clarence Jenkins (preacher) reports, “We had one visitor this past Lord’s Day. Our metrics thus far through August are three baptisms, four visitors, and 43 contacts. Lord willing, we will work on following up on the contacts that we have and also a reboot. We appreciate all prayers.”

Abilene church of Christ, Statesville, North Carolina (remote): Gary Dull (minister) reports, “We are home from PTP and charged up again! Last night’s Sunday service was songs and prayers. We prayed not just for the sick, not just for our number, but also for all those with whom we are hoping to have Bible studies soon. August was full of conflict concerning our efforts to schedule Bible studies. It was full of vacations, but we are back on track starting this week. We appreciate all prayers.”

Oak Forest church of Christ, Goldsboro, North Carolina: Dennis May (elder) reports, “On Sunday, August 30, we had one visitor who was visiting with one of our congregational families. The visitor enjoyed the worship service and wants to come back. Because this was a fifth Sunday, we did not have a compassion card-writing group. Last Sunday, we noted that our congregation wrote over 3000 compassion cards since January. We also participated in a community outreach event. We provided supplies to 70 teachers who can support the children in their rooms. Many of these families were not able to purchase these required school supplies. Valerie Wallace, one of our members who works with these teachers and young children, brought this to the elders’ attention, and we were glad to reach out to our community and help. For about a month, we asked our members to bring school supplies to help these children, their parents, the teachers, and Valerie. The congregation responded greatly, and 70 teachers now have what they need to teach these young children effectively. Valerie helped me write a wonderful letter to these teachers to tell them what a great job they are doing preparing these children to learn. In this letter, we made sure the teachers understood what a wonderful, important job they were doing and how they are making a positive difference in our community. We let them know that the congregation at the Oak Forest church of Christ would like for them and their families to come and worship with us anytime. We told them they were always welcome, and we gave them our Bible study and worship times. We will be praying for these teachers, these students, and their families.”

Owasso church of Christ, Oklahoma: David Combs (elder) reports, “Following our morning services, we had our Fifth Sunday Fellowship Dinner. We had good food and plenty of good fellowship. After dinner, we went back into the auditorium for a devotional and were dismissed for the day. Since it was fifth Sunday, Group 5, made up of leadership, signed cards before we left.”

Oklahoma Panhandle State University, Goodwell, Oklahoma: Raoul Ferris (director of Bible Chair) reports, “This week, we were blessed to have 60 in attendance for our community meal. The church in Beaver and South Flat, Oklahoma, assisted us by providing Frito Pie. We offered a short devotion from James 1:21-25. During the meal, members of Beaver and South Flat helped us make new contacts. Our interns, brothers Isaac and Isaiah Sprouse, were also able to ask George if he would like to know more about us. They have a meal and Bible study set up on September 6, before evening worship. On Thursday evening, we also concluded Book 1 of BTTB and began Book 2 with Talon and Bobby. One needs to obey the Gospel, and the other needs to be reminded of the Gospel. Our study on instruments will be a very eye-opening study. We had 10 in attendance on Sunday, and no visitors, but at least one of those visitors already told us he would be gone the previous Sunday. This week, Misty Ferris will lead a Ladies Bible Study. We are offering it to the churches of Christ in surrounding towns, the people of Goodwell, and the college students. We are gaining traction slowly, and we are grateful to God for His help.”

Grove church of Christ, Oklahoma: Juan Jarmillo (preacher) reports, “Right now, our focus is to set things up for our six-month meeting with Keno that will happen on September 8-11. We almost have all the details cemented, and we are so excited to have him! We appreciate all prayers!”

Guymon church of Christ, Oklahoma: Chandler Henderson reports, “Last week we had one baptism; please welcome our new brother in Christ, Isaac Sprouse. We made two visits to prodigals, sent 34 cards to a local teacher with ailments, held four Bible studies, ran one New Convert’s class, and held a men’s Bible study on Monday evenings and a women’s Bible study on Tuesday evenings.”

Alkire Road church of Christ, Grove City, Ohio: Tony Dunnagan (member) reports, “The Alkire Road congregation delivered over 35 new-mover baskets, sent 95 compassion cards, and obtained 19 contacts yesterday. We also held a coordinator meeting yesterday afternoon and reviewed possible bottlenecks; we watched three training videos. We have two Bible studies ongoing; we are trying to set up times for follow-up studies with them.”

Barnes church of Christ, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma: John Bellah (member) reports, “On Sunday morning, Gary Henson preached an excellent sermon on the difference between Heaven and Hell to impress on us the importance of helping our friends and neighbors come to Christ. We prayed for those on our bookmarks that we want to reach and asked that we start turning those individuals into prospects.”

York church of Christ, Pennsylvania: Mark Rashke (deacon) reports, “We had 66 people in attendance for Sunday morning worship this week, which was one of our highest for the year. That included regular visitors, new converts, and some whom we have not seen in a while. We continue to have good numbers in attendance at our evening services as well. Likewise, we have continued to have good attendance and participation in our Bible classes. We are continuing to visit with the prospects on our list and to build relationships with the aim of winning studies. We ask for prayers that while we plant and water, God is bringing the increase!”

Saint Andrews Road church of Christ, Columbia, South Carolina: Jamie Byrom (minister) reports, “This past week our congregation wrote 20 compassion cards. We made one transition visit and scheduled a Bible study for next week. On Sunday night, we had congregational training as the sermon was about making transition visits.”

McEwen church of Christ, Tennessee: John Jones (preacher) reports, “We are leaving for New Zealand on Thursday, but we did have a baptism this week. One of our members’ husbands had been listening closely to my recent sermons and requested to be baptized. After a short study, he was immersed on Saturday evening. There are two more families going through Back to the Bible, and our members are studying with them while I am away.”

West Sparta church of Christ, Tennessee: Justin Turney (deacon) reports, “We have started to get some movement on our billboard. We have had a few people sign up for Bible studies, but most have been from people passing through town. We did get one from a lady in our area, so we are looking forward to seeing her progress. We may add her to the list to send cards to, send her cards of encouragement, and hopefully visit her.”

Collierville church of Christ, Tennessee: Justin Evergarden (evangelist) reports, “We have had an encouraging stretch of growth here at Collierville. Our year-to-date totals are now 38 new visitors, 804 cards sent, six visits made, 57 prospects, six active Bible studies, and 66 new movers baskets delivered. August alone brought 12 new visitors, 16 new prospects, and 194 cards sent. On the Japan Gospel side, PTP was very productive for us. We made several new contacts and are now following up with congregations about speaking opportunities to support as we continue preparing for our move to Japan next year. We are thankful for the doors that continue to open in both works! We ask for prayers for those with whom we are studying currently.”

Hillcrest church of Christ, Springfield, Tennessee: Tim Taylor (evangelist) reports, “One of our dear young sisters who is part of our youth group responded yesterday, seeking prayers and restoration. It is so encouraging to see young Christians who seek to please the Lord. We are continuing to follow up with our new contacts, and we now have three ongoing or scheduled Bible studies. We are praying for good results!”

Soddy church of Christ, Soddy Daisy, Tennessee: Joe Mallory (preacher) reports, “We continue our efforts to encourage our new converts. It is wonderful to see their growth as they make insightful comments in class and begin evangelistic work in the community. We pray to implement more ways to teach them and strengthen our connections with them. What a blessing it is to utilize the materials from House to House! Our Homecoming & Friends and Family Day will be on Sunday, September 13. We seek prayers for this effort as our congregation reaches out to those we love, inviting them to come home and be our honored guests!”

Cookeville church of Christ, Tennessee: Daniel Burton (member) reports, “We currently have four prospects, and we are reaching out to them through our compassion cards. We are sending around 20 cards each week as we continue to encourage and make connections with these individuals. We also currently have two Bible studies taking place, which is very encouraging. This past Sunday, we had three visiting families with nine visitors total. We are thankful for these opportunities and want to make sure we follow up and make them feel welcome. Please continue to pray for these efforts and for opportunities to reach others with the Gospel.”

Birdwell Chapel church of Christ, Cottontown, Tennessee: Kerry England (elder) reports, “On Sunday evening, a young man who became a Christian earlier this year preached his first Gospel sermon! What an encouraging way to close out a Lord’s Day! He did a great job, and we pray he has a long, fruitful Christian life ahead. One of the main points of his lesson was that he would not be a Christian if not for the encouragement and influence of his high school friends. He and all our young people are real assets to the congregation. We will be mailing cards and inviting visitors to a BBQ bash the last weekend of this month, including visitors to our VBS and our backpack guests from this summer.”

Rome church of Christ, Lebanon, Tennessee (remote): David Oxley reports, “We just finished a Gospel Meeting with brother Mike Hixson. We had one baptism. It was a wonderful meeting. We have added an additional New Converts’ class meeting on Wednesday night. We are sending cards to three prospects this week. We will be making visits this week.”

White Bluff church of Christ, Tennessee: Shamron Jackson (elder) reports, “We had 31 visitors on Sunday morning. It was the fifth Sunday, so we did not write cards, but we did do transition visits. I was so excited to have eight teams to go out this time. We were able to get a Bible study from it. We have several studies in progress right now; we appreciate prayers for open hearts.”

Chapel Hill church of Christ, Tennessee: Matt Jones (deacon) reports, “We celebrate with a young lady in the congregation who obeyed the Gospel this past week. Although not part of our community evangelistic efforts, she is a result of Godly parents teaching and striving to raise their kids in the Lord. We are thankful to have parents and a church family that understands the importance of passing down the faith so that they can make it their own. Praise God.”

Mountain Creek church of Christ, Chattanooga, Tennessee: Michael Tomshack (elder) reports, “In a previous discussion, I mentioned a young single mother who noticed our VBS sign and brought her children. She attended our Young Adult Connect Group but was out of town for several weeks with her family. This past Sunday, she and her children attended Bible class and worship assembly. She possesses a substantial amount of superficial Biblical knowledge and attends two denominations, one for Saturday night worship and another on Sunday. It is evident that she is earnestly seeking the Truth, and, as she expresses it, a village. The Gospel message is intended for everyone, and there is much to explore with her. Nevertheless, she was warmly received, and several women have connected with her. May God grant us the wisdom to guide her to the complete truth of His Word.”

Rivergate church of Christ, Madison, Tennessee: Doug Tooley (preacher) reports, “We had nine visitors for the last night of our summer series on Wednesday. We had five visitors on Sunday morning and six visitors on Sunday evening. We had one transition visit last week. We had a baptism on Friday afternoon. Christian Vandergriff was baptized. He was the neighbor of a couple of our members. The couple started bringing him to church when he could come, and our youth minister was picking him up for youth events. The couple moved, but our youth minister kept picking him up for church and events. This baptism is the fruit of that work. The young man’s mother, stepfather, and grandmother came for the baptism. We are praying he will get his family to come farther down the road.”

San Saba church of Christ, Texas: Justin Bell (preacher) reports, “We picked up another Bible study this past week, bringing our total up to two Bible studies. We still have two more transition visits to do, as well as one new-mover visit. We have our continuing education workshop with Keno this weekend, and we are all very excited to have him here.”

Lake Country church of Christ, Burnet, Texas: Alex Simmons (preacher) reports, “We made transition visits a few weeks ago, but so far we have not secured a study. However, we are still cultivating prospects. We have two prospects, and we are currently working with them to schedule Bible studies. We also have five other prospects receiving cards daily, and one study is currently taking place. We are prayerful that in the next couple of weeks, we will have some more prospects in Bible studies.”

Whitehouse church of Christ, Texas: Cody Stewart (evangelist) reports, “This past Sunday, we concluded the lessons on the bookmarks and introduced the contact cards to the congregation. We had a number of members with contacts that the congregation could contact, and we are beginning to build our prospect list using those contacts. We now have three ongoing Bible studies, and we are praying for soft hearts as these studies progress.”

Stratford church of Christ, Texas: Chad Theis (coordinator) reports, “This past week, we were blessed with eight visitors. In our prospecting efforts, we made four visits, and we conducted one Bible study.”

Roanoke church of Christ, Texas: Caleb Rutherford (preacher) reports, “We had our End of Quarter yesterday, so we had no evangelism efforts in the afternoon. However, please continue to pray for our 13 ongoing Bible studies. We also continue to make several transition visits every week. We continue to train every Sunday afternoon to keep our members fresh on not only why we are doing this, but also how best to do it.”

Bridge Avenue church of Christ, Weslaco, Texas: Braulio Carvajal (preacher) reports, “Ivan Hernandez was baptized yesterday. He has been attending services with his wife, Brenda, for some time now.  A few weeks after completing Back to the Bible, Ivan made the best decision of his life. On Sunday, we wrote 100 compassion cards. We currently have four ongoing Bible studies. We continue to have good attendance in our New Converts’ classes. Our program continues to evolve, and God has been providing us with many opportunities and growth. To Him be the Glory.”

Colleyville church of Christ, Texas: John Garza (evangelist) reports, “Currently, we have three studies taking place. One is entering into book two, and two are with Mormons. I am working through book one, without them knowing that is what I’m doing. I’m approaching it from a study the scriptures and compare it to the book of Mormon. Our card writing is doing very well, and we look forward to improving our relationship with the prospects we have.”

Wheeler church of Christ, Texas: Garrett English (preacher) reports, “We continue to study with our new converts, making sure they are growing in the knowledge and application of His Word. I have encouraged many to consider the baptisms we have had recently and to make sure their own baptism was according to God’s Word. We continue to work and pray for more souls to be saved!”

North Jefferson church of Christ, Mount Pleasant, Texas: Davin Whatley (associate minister) reports, “Reach Team 1 met yesterday and wrote cards. Jeff studied again with Oscar last week. Austin and I were unable to study with Nathali last week, but I am hoping we can this week. Our congregation is doing well in providing contacts, and we are making progress on our transition visits. We appreciate all encouragement and prayers!”

Seagoville church of Christ, Texas: Kodie Martin (evangelist) reports, “We had a great turnout for our fifth Sunday potluck. We had many visitors (both prospects and former members), and we hope that this will be a kickoff to something we can utilize more in the future. We also took the time to write 52 cards and were blessed to have a family place membership who is eager to get involved with evangelism and the process!”

Williamsburg church of Christ, Virginia: Jim Bishop (elder) reports, “This week, the Williamsburg church of Christ continues to work on intentional evangelism in our daily lives, with those local visitors who attend services and with all outreach programs. We currently have one Bible study and one restoration study in progress. We pray fervently for God to bless all those saints preaching and teaching the Gospel. May God continue to add to His church.”

West Side church of Christ, Salem, Virginia: Jeff Durham (elder) reports, “For our next community-focused event, we will have a ‘build-a-bed’ opportunity for our members on September 26. We will partner with a group that specializes in building beds for children in our communities who do not have beds. We purchase all the supplies and provide the manpower for sanding, drilling holes, and staining the wood for the beds. On another day, we have the privilege of delivering the beds to these children’s homes. This will give us an opportunity to invite these families to learn more about Jesus, who is the ultimate Provider of ‘every good and perfect gift’—including salvation and the hope of eternity with Him.”
