Congregational Reports

Hatton church of Christ, Town Creek, Alabama: Chris Miller (preacher) reports, “We request prayers for Owen, that his heart is open to the Gospel as we are trying to reach him among several others currently. Our youth continue to be very active, including helping our efforts to set up studies with their friends. One of our members made a public confession of repentance this past Sunday, and we are thankful for all the good being done.”

Cedar Grove church of Christ, Andalusia, Alabama: Josh Halloway (preacher) reports, “This week, we will be sending out 72 cards. The grand total is 4759. We conducted two Bible studies, but we spent a good portion of the week in Atlanta for Lads to Leaders. We did set up a new study with a young man named Ian. We continued our evangelism efforts through cards, transition visits, and other outreach contacts.”

Hartselle church of Christ, Alabama: Justin Smith (preacher) reports, “By God’s grace, we had one baptism this week as a result of a Bible study. Our congregation is rejoicing! We have one other Bible study currently ongoing. We feel the Lord moving through our efforts at Hartselle!”

Petersville church of Christ, Florence, Alabama: Adam Richardson (preacher) reports, “The Petersville family was busy with Lads to Leaders this weekend, but we still had a great worship service Sunday. One sister who left the church over 20 years ago visited us recently. She repented and asked to be added to our family here.”

Creekwood church of Christ, Mobile, Alabama: Tucker Presley (preacher) reports, “David is studying today with a resident at a nursing home where we conduct a devo every Sunday! He asked about baptism, so David is studying with him today about it. One other Bible study is ongoing. We continue to write compassion cards, deliver new mover baskets, and make visits.”

Rison church of Christ, Arkansas: Keden Shrum (preacher) reports, “We continue sending cards to our prospects, including several recent visitors. One of these visitors is Bonnie, a benevolence contact, who has visited us multiple times recently. On Tuesday, we successfully completed Book 1 of BTTB with her, and we are scheduled to do Book 2 later this week.”

Harrisburg church of Christ, Arkansas: Mark Weston (elder) reports, “Our Gospel Meeting started last Sunday, March 29th, with Brother Barry Odell from the Mammoth Springs church of Christ. We enjoyed some great lessons and had a few visitors.  Most of them were from sister congregations, but we did have at least one community member who usually comes to all of our meetings at least one night.  We have been praying for him for years and hopefully, now, with our training, we will be able to make some progress in the future. Last week, we finished up on the compassion cards that were sent to our wayward members, and our visits will start very soon to follow up on those cards.  We had mixed responses from some of those members. A few were very grateful for the nice comments.  We will make the visits and pray that God will soften their hearts so that we might be able to enjoy them in our fellowship once again. This past week has been a very stressful week because of sickness among members and family.  One of our elders’ parents is extremely ill. They are both in our local nursing home. His father has been placed in hospice, and his mother has developed pneumonia.  They are both are in their nineties and extremely ill.  My mother has been dealing with a UTI at the local nursing home. My brother-in-law was admitted to the hospital today with problems with his congestive heart failure.  We have two other members’ families that are also hospitalized at this time.  Prayers have been lifted, tears have fallen, and our faith has been tested, but God is good, and we certainly trust that he will provide what is necessary for each of these people we love so much. Sunday, we had a very large crowd. Most of our visitors were our members’ families.  We did, however, have the family that lost their home to a fire earlier last month visit, and we have actively been sending cards to them.  They were here with their parents and other family members.  Hopefully, we can continue to work on their hearts and be able to study with them in the future.  Since Sunday was Easter and we expected a large crowd of visitors, we elected not to solicit contacts from our bookmarks.  We plan on doing that this Wednesday evening.  We also chose not to meet Sunday evening and do compassion cards, but we do have contacts ready and will pick up sending cards this Sunday.  With all that was going on, the break was nice for our members, and the rest was needed. Our website is almost ready to publish, and we are excited about being able to share that with our community. We know that it will be an asset for our church family here, and we will be able to utilize it in our evangelism program.  We have had so many comments from members about how our evangelism program is going.  Momentum continues to grow, and we continue to learn together.  We know that God will give the increase!”

Northside church of Christ, Harrison, Arkansas: Larry Keener (elder) reports, “This week Northside continues to follow the curriculum with groups starting to be assembled. Our first compassion cards went out; we were not fully ready, but a need arose. Our youth accomplished this task. Steve preached on talents on the morning service. Prayer time was given for the names on our bookmarks. Sunday evening was used to review the sermon with a discussion of the parable. We also filled out a personality form to better identify our talents. Some days it feels like we are moving slowly, and other days we seem to move fast. David Glenn continues to assemble, work hard, and encourage everyone. We appreciate continued prayers that God may be glorified as we seek the lost.”

Bergman church of Christ, Harrison, Arkansas: Vince Stewart (preacher) reports, “This week we finally got our evangelism table finished. I have enclosed a picture. We have assigned two new coordinators; one will handle the prospect list, and two greeters, a young man and his wife, will greet visitors. On Sunday, we finished John 4, Part III. We did our first category to prospect: men handed out a few contact cards and waited to get them back so the ladies could get to work.”

Mountain Home church of Christ, Arkansas: Joshua Adams (preacher) reports, “We had a great trip to Little Rock this weekend for Lads to Leaders! I am so proud of our young people—not just for their participation and accomplishments, but for the way they represented Christ in their attitudes, encouragement of one another, and willingness to step outside their comfort zones. We had a total of 54 for the trip. Throughout the weekend, our youth led songs, presented speeches, quoted Scripture, participated in Bible Bowl, and served in so many ways. It was a joy to watch their confidence grow and to see their hard work come to fruition. More importantly, moments like these remind us that we are not just preparing for events—we are preparing hearts to serve the Lord faithfully. Seeds are being planted that, Lord willing, will bear fruit for years to come. Coming back home in time for Sunday morning worship, we saw a huge influx of visitors, and we are excited to work with them in the coming weeks!”

Margaret Street church of Christ, Milton, Florida: Troy Spradlin (preacher) reports, “Today we rejoice that another precious soul was added to the Lord’s Kingdom this past weekend. After studying through Back to the Bible, Hayden Chandler was immersed for the remission of his sins! To God be the glory! Our total 2026 Accountability Board numbers are: 85 Contacts Received; 41 Neighbors (Prospects); 350 Compassion Cards sent; 11 Bible studies; one Restoration, and four Baptisms.”

Stuart church of Christ, Florida: Tom Neth (deacon) reports, “This past week, we were blessed to witness another baptism. Chris Barker obeyed the gospel on Wednesday night, bringing our total to seven baptisms so far this year. We are grateful for God’s continued work among us and the hearts that are responding to His word. The congregation is looking forward to hosting Keno Shrum next week for our follow-up training. There is a growing sense of excitement as we seek to build on the opportunities God is providing, especially in connecting with those who visit our services. We continue to be encouraged by the number of visitors we are receiving. At the same time, we are actively working to improve how we greet, engage, and involve them so that meaningful relationships can form and effective follow-up can occur. Our card-writing campaign remains a strong point of encouragement for the congregation. It is especially uplifting to see individuals whom we have encouraged are attending worship or responding with thoughtful notes. These moments serve as a reminder that even simple acts of kindness can open doors for deeper connections and spiritual conversations.”

Niceville church of Christ, Florida: Joe Palmer (preacher) reports, “Today, April 6, 2026, our training is showing dividends. This week, we increased the number of greeters and assigned people to follow up with local visitors. One of our elders has joined me in the foyer after church. We had some returning visitors this week as well as two new local visitors. Some Easter folks returned, and we are reaching out to them as well. This gives us the opportunity to encourage several people with compassion cards. We had three studies this week, and I am looking forward to an upcoming evangelistic training class. We sent out 24 cards this week.”

Milestone church of Christ, Cantonment, Florida: Randy Brantley (elder) reports, “We have three Bible studies ongoing. Two have completed the three Back to the Bible studies. One is very promising; the other is more challenging. He was brought up in the Catholic religion, and he is taking more studies. The third is just starting; we request prayers for good results.”

Cartersville church of Christ, Georgia (remote): Charles Harris (regional trainer) reports, “We composed 50 compassion cards that will be mailed to five prospects. We are scheduling five transition visits. We currently have three Bible studies, and we expect to have five transition visits. We have three Bible studies ongoing.”

Warner Robins church of Christ, Georgia: Damien Walker (evangelist) reports, “We are trying to nail down our visitor greeting efforts, as we have let a few slip out without getting information. It does not come naturally, and Zack and I are putting our minds together to figure out the best way forward. We want full-fledged efforts. We have lots of visitors, lots of contacts, and several prospects, so we will begin transition team training soon. It seems like a long road ahead as we train and equip the congregation with this process, but we are getting there.”

Gray church of Christ, Georgia (remote): Keith Dixon (preacher) reports, “Our numbers last week included 15 cards sent. Here is the most important number: We had one person return to the Lord. We are so excited. It helps to see the plan work. We also had another visitor. We appreciate all prayers. To God be the Glory!”

Woodstock church of Christ, Georgia: Matt Amos (preacher) reports, “Woodstock church of Christ (WCOC) is preparing for our 50th Anniversary and Revival.  When: Sunday, May 3, Bible Class 9:30 a.m., Worship 10:30 a.m., Lunch 12:00 p.m., Congregational Singing at 5:00 p.m., Revival, May 4-6, @ 7:00 p.m., and Speaker: Matt Amos. All are welcome to the 50th Anniversary and/or the Revival. We have created our Compassion Card Group and sent six cards. We had eleven visitors this past Sunday. WCOC had four Bible Studies.”

Honolulu church of Christ, Hawaii: Tagiliima Esene (regional trainer) reports, “Aloha from the Honolulu congregation. We have a few local visitors being prospected. We have Bible studies with five souls. Two studies are with married couples. One study is with a young teenage man. The study with the teenager will be led by two of our teenage members. This is an opportunity to train them to use the material so they can be soul winners to their peers.”

Judah church of Christ, Bloomington, Indiana: Joe Moon (preacher) reports, “We had three visitors this week, and one family had prospects over for a meal. We did not have any cards or Bible studies this week.”

Harrisburg church of Christ, Illinois (remote): Doug Berry (preacher) reports, “Our card sending has been good so far with 196 cards sent. We continue to send more each week. We have had four Bible studies that are in progress. I really appreciate Keno Shrum, our regional contact, as he is always ready to help us out when we need it!”

Collinsville-Troy church of Christ, Illinois: Jason Wright (evangelist) reports, “We met Pam and Berto a few years ago during our food giveaway. Then we met them again with AMC door-knocking; they were one of the Few. They came to the community meal. Later, Pam was really sick, so we sent her compassion cards and made a follow-up visit. We prayed at the door with Berto for Pam. She got better, and they came to services and to Ladies’ and Men’s day. We had no luck getting them into a study. We lost touch for over a year. I decided to give it one more try. Kim and I went for a visit. We got the study! For the next six weeks, we studied the booklets. We interrupted Bible class, and Pam was baptized into Christ last Wednesday night. She is number six in 2026. Berto is not quite ready. We will continue the study this week. Lesson learned: Do not give up; go see that person one more time! We gave out two visitor bags and mailed 110 compassion cards. Our new converts are bringing visitors. We will not tell them evangelism does not work!! Keep sowing!”

Columbus church of Christ, Kansas: Matt Fowler (member) reports, “We had two visitors on Sunday morning. This gives us seven visitors in the past two weeks. That is an outstanding number for us. We wrote compassion cards to two of our visitors and will continue this in the coming weeks. We have one Bible study ongoing, but we have been running into scheduling conflicts. We are praying that we can get it back on track. Keep sowing the seed, brethren!”

Beloit church of Christ, Kansas (remote): Dustin Dougherty (regional trainer) reports, “We had a smaller number for services yesterday, but I did reimplement a practice we used to do many years ago called our ‘Thankful and Concerns.’ We spent the first five or so minutes of the adult class writing eight or ten things to be thankful for on our whiteboard, and the same for concerns or for those who need prayers.  It was a great potential contact generator.”

Central church of Christ, Paducah, Kentucky: Adam Faughn (preacher) reports, “We have been blessed recently to have three individuals place membership at Central. While this is not ‘evangelistic,’ it is certainly encouraging to us. This past week, there was another study with the couple we have reported on several times lately (the couple who know little about the Bible). As before, the studies are good. Also, last evening a young lady named Natalie asked for a Bible study. She has visited with friends several times, but recently her dad passed away. This girl (I believe is in sixth grade) had her mom drop her off at church so she could study the Bible with our youth minister. She is a good young lady, and we are praying that the Bible helps to comfort her. We also pray that as she grows, she will want to be a Christian when the time is right.”

Gonzales church of Christ, Louisiana: Ben Vallery (deacon) reports, “Our New Convert classes continue on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings. After a drop-off in cards sent in March, we had a great first week in April. We look forward to watching April’s number grow in the weeks to come!”

Waldorf church of Christ, Maryland: Joseph Day (member) reports, “Since AMC, we have had three new Bible studies, and two visitors from the AMC effort attended Wednesday night. We had one restoration, and we wrote 200 compassion cards.”

La Plata church of Christ, Maryland: Eric Sykes (regional trainer) reports, “We thank God for all of the evangelistic energy and excitement that AMC has generated here at the La Plata church. One of our new converts started studying BTTB with his brother. They completed Lesson 1 on Saturday, and they are starting Lesson 2 this week. We appreciate prayers for these studies. We received calls from several folks whom we had contacted during AMC. One came to last week’s worship service, and we visited Ms. Wanda and her sister. She called and left a message thanking us for visiting and said that she wants to come to the worship service on Sunday. We will make sure she gets a ride. We wrote 77 compassion cards, visited four prospects, set up two Bible studies, and had six visitors. All the visitors this week decided to take rain checks on going out for a meal; everybody had family plans for Easter. We pray that they will all visit us again soon. AMC was truly a blessing for our congregation. The number of contacts it generated was simply incredible; it will take us several months to prospect all of them. We thank God for the blessing. God is good, and the saints are excited. Amen!”

Aberdeen church of Christ, Maryland: Will Brown (evangelist) reports, “Sunday was wonderful. Two souls chose to obey the Gospel. Justice and Jacob are brothers, and their father is a long-time member. Both young men heard many sermons and heard the message about the resurrection of Jesus. I studied with them in the office downstairs and asked them many questions, and they both understood the truth. Our congregation is up to four baptisms so far. We now have seven ongoing Bible studies. We continue to have one new visitor a week. The exciting part is that the two newest studies were started by members. We continue to see growth and are encouraged by the young people hearing and obeying the Gospel. We continue to maintain our accountability boards and card teams, and we are looking forward to regional trainer Eric Sykes coming up from southern Maryland in May to conduct an Evangelism Refresh. We appreciate prayers for our evangelism efforts. We praise God who is giving us the increase.”

Iuka church of Christ, Mississippi: Sam Glover (preacher) reports, “I will look at the AMC recap for encouragement. As far as metrics go here, there are some promising updates. We have had a family of four visiting with us. They are moving into the area and the husband is changing careers. Two other families have started attending with us. It has been a privilege to see members take initiative and greet everyone, get to know them, and reach out to them, especially these three families. The follow-up work has been especially encouraging to see.”

Plainview church of Christ, Fulton, Mississippi: Tom House (preacher) reports, “I presented the lesson on ‘Visitors’ yesterday. It was well received. We began instruction on BTTB during class time, and the class thoroughly enjoyed it. We are scheduling the next Bible study for this week, but it probably will not   come until Sunday. Coordinators are being put in place for the various aspects of the plan to be implemented. We hope to have a specific time to write and send the cards by Sunday. When that goes into operation, I look for things to progress quite well.”

Fulton church of Christ, Mississippi: Richard Comer (deacon) reports, “A couple of the ladies had a good visit last week and will make another one with the same lady. Two Bible studies are still ongoing. We have ten prospects right now and are sending cards each week.”

Aberdeen church of Christ, Mississippi: Jonathan Hagar (preacher) reports, “We had a great Easter Egg Hunt this past weekend. We were able to get six contact cards. We had about 120 people who came and several were from the community; we took full advantage of their visit. We are looking forward to reaching out to our neighbors who visited us. Since it was Easter this past Sunday, we had more visitors than usual. We had about 20+ visitors, but only three who were not from out of town. We gave them  visitor packets and hope to see them again soon. We continue to send out invitation cards to visitors each week; we send the compassion cards out each month; we have a monthly door-knocking team; and we have seven in regular attendance at the New Convert’s class. I have one Bible study scheduled for this week. I appreciate all prayers for the study.”

Marshall church of Christ, Missouri (remote): Charles Reid (preacher) reports, “Diana and I spent Friday afternoon and evening and all day Saturday until 3:00 pm at HOALTC with the Benjamin family. Their daughter, 16-year-old Almary, received seven gold awards for participation in scrapbook, Christian art, prayer journaling, teaching challenge, scripture memory, service challenge, and Bible reading. She was awarded a silver medal in Bible Bowl. One comment she made in her prayer journal was that she enjoyed what you said in your sermon when you visited our church. She said it was very interesting. On our way home from LTC, my wife got a call from a 14-year-old young lady who had been to several of our VBS years from age three to age eight. She moved away, and we lost track of her, then she moved back into our area a year ago. She wanted to be baptized. She was at Bible study and worship. After the services, we baptized her into Christ. She will be in our Thursday evening New Convert’s class with our other new converts, Jason and Katie. Henry and I, along with our wives, are leading that class.”

Concord church of Christ, New Hampshire (remote): Terry Hale (evangelist) reports, “Our new brother in Christ brought two visitors Sunday. We also had another visitor from the community. Our visitor team did a great job getting information and passing out visitor bags. The congregation did a great job of making each person feel welcome. We mailed out the last of the compassion cards today, and we plan to follow up on the cards with a visit as we prospect previous visitors on Thursday. Last week and this week, our organization of the evangelism table and our evangelism room has been handled by the ones organizing and keeping it updated, and it is almost complete, as they have done a great job. Prayers are appreciated, and to God be the glory.”

East Flushing church of Christ, New York (remote): Clarence Jenkins (preacher) reports, “Our metrics thus far through and for April 2026 are two baptisms, four visitors, ten Bible studies, and one in our New Convert’s class. We appreciate all prayers.”

Abilene church of Christ, Statesville, North Carolina (remote): Gary Dull (minister) reports, “As I write this, Deborah and D’Lea are on the third Bible study with Shelly, finishing Back to the Bible, Lesson 3. Last Friday, they started a new Bible study with Glenora, again using Back to the Bible, Lesson 1. They finished each booklet in one study. We have had very positive feedback from our cards, and we have visitors almost weekly now.”

Oak Forest church of Christ, Goldsboro, North Carolina: Dennis Mays (elder) reports, “Oak Forest now has five new Bible Studies going on this week. We appreciate prayers for these individuals who are studying and the teachers who are guiding their studies. We had four visitors this Sunday, and the congregation sent out 95 compassion cards. One of our elders taught Book B of Believe the Bible, Bible Inspiration.”

New Concord church of Christ, Ohio: Terry Townsend (preacher) reports, “We had several first-time visitors once again at Sunday morning service, and all received welcome gifts. They have been added to our mailing list and will also receive compassion cards and notes of encouragement. Visits to the homes of our recent ‘visitors’ are being made. Only one Bible study is currently ongoing.”

Alkire Road church of Christ, Grove City, Ohio: Tony Dunnagan (member) reports, “We had 18 visitors, most of whom are returning visitors for whom we have information. One family was traveling through. We obtained two new contacts. We have one Bible study, and 38 compassion cards were sent.”

Grove church of Christ, Oklahoma: Juan Jarmillo (preacher) reports, “We began writing our compassion cards this past Sunday, and we are sending them to five prospects and their respective families. In total, we sent 62 cards for this week, and next week we plan around the same, though we may add some others to that list. We began teaching the second book of BTTB and will finish the first and begin the second in the teens’ class on Wednesday, Lord willing. We appreciate all prayers, and we look forward to many opportunities!”

Guymon church of Christ, Oklahoma: Chandler Henderson (preacher) reports, “This last week I preached on Quantity not Quality, and we also had the first week of our new convert’s study. We had 4 attend, and they’re very excited to move forward in Growing in Christ. One of our young teenage members had been going through Back to the Bible with her friend, and after completing book 3, Kandrey made the decision to put on Christ in baptism. It’s very encouraging to see our younger members ready and willing to teach their friends. That’s something I was never taught to do growing up, but now that the culture of the church is centered around an evangelistic mindset and we’ve been given the tools and the training to seek and save the lost. We have great hope for the growth of the church for generations to come. We have five prospects and one new convert’s study. Last week, we continued sending cards written the previous week and have three visits planned for next week after the rest of the cards have been sent. Visitor bags are completed and ready to be handed out. We have three ongoing Bible studies and had one baptism.”

Barnes church of Christ, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma: John Bellah (member) reports, “On Sunday we had ten visitors, and we plan to add one or two of them to our prospect list and begin sending cards. Over 35 cards were written yesterday, and there were a few that were written ahead of time by a few members who were going to be out of town. We have sent nearly 150 compassion cards to date, and they seem to be well-received. We are getting visits lined up for a few of our prospects who have received our cards.  This upcoming weekend will be our lectureship; we will study the various lists found in Scripture (i.e., Beatitudes, Seven Ones, etc.). We are hoping some of our warmer prospects will be able to attend.”

Owasso church of Christ, Oklahoma: David Combs (elder) reports, “We had a great day yesterday! We closed our morning service with a baptism. Adrian Reyes put his Lord on in baptism. He was taught by his sweet 91-year-old grandmother! Sunday night, after services, 15 card writers met to write 47 cards to be sent out this week.”

Coweta church of Christ, Oklahoma: Garrett Rankin (associate minister) reports, “On Sunday we had several visitors, as many congregations experienced. Even though we as Christians remember Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection weekly, this was a great opportunity to collect contact information from those who visited. We will start sending compassion cards to these visitors.”

York church of Christ, Pennsylvania: Mark Rashke (deacon) reports, “We had two new visitors in York this week (due to Easter Sunday), and we gave visitor bags to them. We also had a number of regular members who were absent as they were traveling to see family. We had a recognition for the youth who competed in this year’s Bible Bowl. Fred preached a wonderful sermon about the importance of the resurrection, and how we should remember it every week, and indeed every day of our lives, and most of all how we should participate in the death, burial, and resurrection through baptism. In the evening, attendance was quite light, with mainly some of our regulars, but we did also have some repeat visitors, who we made sure to greet and thank them for attending with us.”

St. Andrews Road church of Christ, Columbia, South Carolina: Jamie Byrom (preacher) reports, “This past Sunday, we began Book 2 of Back to the Bible as the sermon. We wrote 12 compassion cards. Two contact cards were completed for community visitors. We have scheduled a visit with erring members who have received compassion cards.”

Philadelphia church of Christ, Lebanon, Tennessee (remote): T.O. Craigwall (elder) reports, “We had at least nine visitors yesterday, and we are writing compassion cards to them. The other assignment is to visit two new movers and one lady who has encountered cancer.”

East Main church of Christ, Murfreesboro, Tennessee: Brad Rowley (elder) reports, “We rejoice in the baptism of Braden Morris by Travis, his father. We are so thankful for parents like Travis and Kimberly who diligently teach their children at home. We rejoice in the baptism of Steven Grimes by Jon Mitchell, our pulpit minister. Steven was a new mover contact who eventually visited East Main. During his visit, he was greeted by our visitor team. A contact card was created with a request for compassion cards, and then a follow-up visit. A Bible study was started. Steven responded to the invitation on March 22, 2026, and he was baptized for the remission of his sins. Steven invited Robert Dennison, who also responded to the invitation and was baptized. To God give the glory! During the month of March, our card teams wrote 109 cards. We received five new contact cards and delivered 15 new mover baskets during the month. Our new prison ministry has led to an increase in Bible studies, with 34 new study sessions started! We appreciate all prayers for open hearts in our new studies!”

Southside church of Christ, Franklin, Tennessee: Fredrick Klein (preacher) reports, “We had our highest Sunday morning attendance since December. That number included a group visiting from another congregation, as well as a couple who have been attending consistently for the past several weeks. We appreciate all prayers as we strive to reach our community.”

Cookeville church of Christ, Tennessee: Josh Kennedy (evangelist) reports, “Recently, we have had two studies, with the first book of Back to the Biblecomplete, and a third possible study this Thursday. We have four prospects and 21 cards sent last week! We are praying all goes well!”

McEwen church of Christ, Tennessee: Jonthan Jones (evangelist) reports, “We have a Bible study tonight with five or six linemen who will need to make a decision for Christ. Please pray that they make the right decision. I am reaching out to the congregations closest to their homes so they can have a church family there. We request prayers for these congregations as they seek to support and encourage them.”

Birdwell Chapel church of Christ, Cottontown, Tennessee: Kerry England (elder) reports, “We had our second largest attendance of the year on Sunday! Many were members of other congregations visiting family, but we did have some visitors from the community that we will be contacting. A team met on Sunday before evening services to send compassion cards to people. A couple has been studying with one of their neighbors. We are praying this leads to a baptism. We met a sister in Christ a couple of months ago through a food drive. She has been attending both Sunday and Wednesday services as we try to help her get back on her feet and on the right path spiritually. As she is back in church and trying to live for God, she has realized that God is blessing her and that her situation is improving. It has been very encouraging to see her recognition and appreciation of God’s grace in her life.”

Collierville church of Christ, Tennessee: Justin Evergarden (evangelist) reports, “Here is this week’s update from Collierville. Our current year-to-date numbers are 12 new visitors, 389 cards sent, five visits made, 25 prospects, one Bible study, and 31 baskets delivered. We are thankful for the steady progress and for the opportunities the Lord continues to place before us. As we continue, I have been reminded of Paul’s words in 2 Timothy 4:7: ‘I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.’ Our goal is to keep doing the Lord’s work faithfully, to keep fighting the good fight, and to stay committed, no matter how small or large the results may seem in the moment. We appreciate all encouragement and support.”

Hillcrest church of Christ, Springfield, Tennessee: Tim Taylor (evangelist) reports, “We had our fifth baptism in the month of March! Josh, who was converted a little over a year ago, baptized his daughter, Kinsley! We had our community pancake breakfast and Easter egg hunt on Saturday and were blessed with 15 visiting families. We are looking forward to showering them with compassion cards and following up with them. We had 278 for worship Sunday morning and were blessed with many visitors, one of whom requested a Bible study.”

White Bluff church of Christ, Tennessee: Shamron Jackson (elder) reports, “We will be sending 145 cards this week. We had upwards of 20 visitors. We were able to get seven contact cards from that. I admit that we were not fully prepared to handle that many visitors. We added two additional Bible studies, and we pray that those go well. We are looking forward to many more. One of our sisters, Mary Crowe, came forward wanting to be restored. God is at work. We are looking forward to our meeting with Keno this month. I know we need to improve in several areas, and I know he can help us.”

Freewill church of Christ, Gainesboro, Tennessee (remote): Andrew Scott (preacher) reports, “We were excited to be back in our ‘new’ auditorium yesterday. We had returning visitors and added a new name to our compassion card list. We have a new corner at the auditorium entrance for all our evangelism materials. We were excited to announce a new project: Directly mailing our extra copies of House to House to those on our target list. I have asked the members to submit new names of those who are lost and those who have fallen away. Our plan is to assign five to six names to each member, and they will be responsible for mailing each month. We are also going to include a handwritten invitation using the compassion cards. We pray this will expand our target list and direct mailing, as well as opening doors for new contacts and prospects. We give God the glory!”

West Sparta church of Christ, Tennessee: Justin Turney (deacon) reports, “We have finished with Lads to Leaders this past weekend, and we are going to be going even stronger into our evangelism program with hopes to incorporate Lads to Leaders with it as well. We hope to get our new movers group up and running, and allowing our kids to be very involved with that!”

Chapel Hill church of Christ, Tennessee: Matt Jones (deacon) reports, “We had more than normal visitors this past Sunday due to Easter. All were greeted and invited back. Isaac gave a great lesson and tied in the importance of telling the lost about the Gospel. We are still praying for a few Bible studies in progress. Overall, things are still progressing.”

Mountain Creek church of Christ, Chattanooga, Tennessee: Michael Tomshack (elder) reports, “Due to several families attending Lads to Leaders and other families traveling to visit their extended families, we postponed the compassion card signing on Sunday. However, last Wednesday evening, cards were written for the woman with cancer mentioned last week. Gary will visit her this week, as her life expectancy is only a few weeks. The evangelism process must be expedited, and Lord willing, she will be receptive and open to a rapid study.”

Soddy church of Christ, Soddy Daisy, Tennessee: Joe Mallory (preacher) reports, “It is a true joy to come together on the first day of each week to exhort one another as we walk with the Lord! It is such a special blessing to greet new faces in our assembly week after week. We are excited about the opportunity to reach out to those who visited us yesterday and to begin praying for them. Others are continuing to visit after receiving compassion from the saints! We request prayers for this soil that we are ‘tilling’ as we hope to begin studies with some of our prospects in the very near future. We are so thankful for our family in Christ, and many were privileged to spend some wonderful time together at Lads to Leaders in Nashville, encouraging our youth as they continue to learn ways to evangelize as they grow in the Lord.”

Rome church of Christ, Lebanon, Tennessee (remote): David Oxley reports, “We have two Bible studies planned for this week. We will also meet for our New Converts’ class on Monday.”

Rivergate church of Christ, Madison, Tennessee: Doug Tooley (preacher) reports, “On Wednesday, we had two visitors. On Sunday morning, we had ten visitors. Two of the visitors on Sunday morning went to lunch with members. On Sunday night, we had three visitors. All three stayed for a meal and a game night after evening service. One is interested in Bible study.”

Eisenhower church of Christ, Odessa, Texas: Allen Weakland (elder) reports, “With the holiday in full swing this past week, we experienced a lot of people being out of town. Of course, we expected it, but it offered us time to relax and refocus on the mission at hand. We saw a number of visitors due to the holiday; most were in town visiting relatives. However, we took full advantage by visiting with them and manifesting care and concern for them. Though none of the families responded from a spiritual standpoint, it is our hope that the seed was planted.”

Weslaco church of Christ, Texas: Braulio Carvajal III (preacher) reports, “This week we provided our two newest Christians with Bible from the congregation at our fellowship meal. At our Wednesday service, we had five prospects and one visitor join us for Bible study. On Sunday, we had a young couple join us for the worship service. We obtained a contact card and provided them with a gift bag. We sent out 80 compassion cards last week as well. At this time, we have three ongoing Bible studies. We continue our studies with new converts on Sunday morning and in a small Bible study on Wednesday mornings as well.”

Centerville Road church of Christ, Garland, Texas: Alan Stevens (elder) reports, “We sent 51 cards last week and expect to begin transition visits this week with the first ten souls on the compassion card list.  Our plan is to make transition visits on the first Monday and fourth Thursday of the month. Preaching through the Back to the Bible series will begin next Sunday. Apart from the evangelism training, an additional soul was restored this morning, whose spouse can be added to the compassion card list.”

Roanoke church of Christ, Texas: Caleb Rutherford (preacher) reports, “We began prospecting two newer contacts whom we made through Impact Sunday last weekend. We wrote compassion cards to a total of five prospects. We also continue to work towards AMC, and toward unifying people together to work towards this great event!”

Bridgewater church of Christ, Katy, Texas: Doug Suggs (deacon) reports, “We were excited to finish our study with Jesse last Friday and are rejoicing that he is now our brother in Christ. He obeyed the teaching of God’s word and was added to the Lord’s church. (Picture added) This is our third baptism this year. One of our compassion card teams met, and we will be sending 35 cards to some of our prospects.”

Lake Country church of Christ, Burnet, Texas: Alex Simmons (preacher) reports, “We have our first prospects! On Sunday, one of our elders addressed the congregation to get our first prospects, and four names were given. We will be sending out cards over the next month, with a couple going out each day. We are praying for an opportunity to share the Gospel in the coming weeks.”

Wheeler church of Christ, Texas: Garrett English (preacher) reports, “I went to a study last week in Olton, Texas, with three good prospects who were honest with the Scriptures and willingly, urgently baptized into Christ Wednesday night. We are gearing up for our Grief Workshop in two weeks, so I urged the congregation to invite their neighbors. I will be out this week, inviting people as well. I have asked for a study with the visitor from two weeks ago in Wheeler, but he has not committed yet. I am prayerful he will make time soon.”

Stratford church of Christ, Texas: Chad Thies (preacher) reports, “Recently, we have had 12 visitors, and currently, we have four prospects. We have had three Bible studies. We have mailed compassion cards to six people. We have two New Convert classes on Sunday morning and one on Wednesday evening.”

San Saba church of Christ, Texas: Justin Bell (preacher) reports, “We had a great week of evangelism here in San Saba. We conducted several Bible studies that went really well. We are very hopeful that souls will be saved from these studies very soon. The New Convert class is going very well, and we are adding more mentors to the new convert mentorship. A house here in San Saba burned down over the weekend. We are in the process of trying to make contact with the owners so we can help them, and we hope to help them spiritually as well.”

North Jefferson church of Christ, Mt. Pleasant, Texas: Davin Whatley (evangelist) reports, “This past week, Estaban and I continued our study in Back to the Bible; we will meet again on Tuesday. The Williamson family was not able to study on Tuesday because of Evan’s work, and apparently he will not be able to study for the next two weeks. We hope to study Back to the BibleLesson 3 the week of the 20th. Polly Anna, our newest convert, is already enjoying meals in our members’ homes with her husband, Ben, and seven children. Martha, one of our members, will begin Back to the Bible on Tuesday with her friend, Becki! Connor (baptized last year) brought his friend Lane to Bible class on Wednesday, and we all went out to CiCi’s afterward. We are trying to set up a Bible study with Lane, and he said he is open to the idea. He said North Jefferson is the first church he has been to that he liked, and he even invited a friend of his to come!”

Colleyville church of Christ, Texas: John Garza (regional trainer) reports, “Currently, we continue to have several Bible studies taking place. They are all at various points. We have multiple prospects, and we are writing to 12 souls that we reached with ‘Word on the Street.’ Lord willing, we will follow up next week!”

Northern Oaks church of Christ, San Antonio, Texas: Mel Hutzler (elder) reports, “I’m happy to report we had three more baptisms. Robert (Anthony’s grandson), Irma (granddaughter), and Daijah (Robert’s girlfriend) were baptized into Christ. We are excited about their commitment to Christ. We continue to greet visitors, record visitors’ information, send cards, follow up, and there are always Bible studies taking place in homes, the church building, and other places. Our New Convert’s class continues to go well, and we are blessed that the Lord has given the increase. We appreciate the congregation so much for helping to retain the overwhelming majority of our new converts.”

Seagoville church of Christ, Texas: Kodie Martin (evangelist) reports, “This past Sunday, we were blessed with many visitors (even former members), as were many other congregations, I am sure, with the Easter holiday. We had about 160 in attendance, and it gave us opportunities to connect with others. I finished Book 2 of Back to the Bible, alongside a sister with Jorgina, and this Saturday we will hopefully cross the finish line with Book 3. There is also another ongoing study, but due to personal reasons, it had to be postponed. Since we started in September, our metrics are 178 visitors (new and returning), 31 visits, 458 cards sent, 47 prospects, two restorations, seven studies, and two baptisms. Our goal is ten. We have also had new members outside of the program. We have definitely been blessed with good success even after only six months of working the program, and we are excited to see the work grow as we are more comfortable in it!”

Williamsburg church of Christ, Virginia: Jim Bishop (elder) reports, “The Williamsburg church of Christ is working with two prospects to establish Bible studies. Our first-time visitor bags have been well received, and two first families have returned for a second week. We were blessed to have Keno Shrum and his family attend mid-week Bible study and Worship. Their faith and zeal to plant the seed of God’s Word into the hearts of the lost are an example to all. We are truly blessed to have all the HTH staff working to provide so many opportunities to train congregations so God can add to His church. We continue to pray for those working to spread the Gospel.”

West Side church of Christ, Salem, Virginia: Jeff Durham (elder) reports, “We had a wonderful and successful Brunch and Egg Hunt on Saturday. We counted 100+ in attendance. Some 20 or more were from the community, and some said they learned about our event from our Facebook posts. One family had participated in our Backpack Giveaway last year. This same family said they were interested in coming to our Bible classes. We used the opportunity to create and build these connections. We invited them to our discussion about ‘Getting Our Financial House in Order’ later this month, and we told them about our next Community Support Day in May.”
