Glencoe church of Christ, Alabama: Keith Ritchie (evangelist) reports, “The Glencoe church of Christ is active and having fun doing the Lord’s work. We have been richly blessed with opportunities in our Glencoe school system. The Glencoe church is active in giving snacks for children in need and gift baskets for the teachers with teacher/school supplies. We were also blessed with the opportunity to set up a booth at the high school block party, where we met many families and made several contacts. Our upcoming evangelism/outreach works are planned, and we are ready and excited. May God help us in our efforts! Keep us in your prayers as we sow, glow, and grow. As always, to God be the glory!”

Hatton church of Christ, Town Creek, Alabama: Chris Miller (preacher) reports, “We continue to look for contacts and reach out and love them as we are able. We recently had a baptism; we will share more information soon.”

Creekwood church of Christ, Mobile, Alabama: Tucker Presley (preacher) reports, “We have been studying with a couple, and they are seriously considering baptism. The Lord is working on their hearts! Another couple has been attending regularly with their young children since VBS in July. We took them out to eat on Sunday. They have expressed interest in placing membership. Another study may be coming soon! Compassion cards continue each week, and follow-up with VBS visitors begins soon.”

Cedar Grove church of Christ, Andalusia, Alabama: Joshua Holloway (preacher) reports, “The work of evangelism continues to move forward at Cedar Grove! This week, we will be sending out 73 compassion cards, bringing our August total to 163 cards and our grand total to 6,049 cards sent! We are very thankful for so many of our congregation who continue to write cards, provide contacts, and participate in various forms of outreach. Our evangelism efforts continue through several avenues, including door knocking, compassion cards, transition visits, and Bible studies. At this time, we have five regular Bible studies with non-Christians and four new-convert Bible studies. That means nine ongoing Bible studies are currently taking place! We appreciate continual prayers for these studies, for those teaching them, and especially for the hearts of those who are hearing God’s Word.”

Northside church of Christ, Harrison, Arkansas: Larry Keener (elder) reports, “Two families visited Sunday as a result of transition visits. We had another baptism after a study using the Jule Miller material. We assigned ten transition visits and look forward to setting up additional Bible studies.”

Mountain Home church of Christ, Arkansas: Joshua Adams (preacher) reports, “This past week, evangelism at Mountain Home included welcoming a sister in Christ back into the household of God. Sister Cindy had previously been converted at another congregation in a nearby town but recently recommitted her life to Christ and is taking her faith more seriously. Cindy brings her three grandchildren with her every other week when she has them, and she made a special effort to bring them for our annual ‘Upgrade Wednesday.’ This special evening celebrates our youth Bible class program as the children officially move into their next class, meet their new teachers, and see their new classrooms for the first time. We had an amazing Wednesday night service honoring our youth Bible class program. The evening built excitement among the families who participate while also emphasizing the tremendous importance of making the study of God’s Word a priority. It was especially encouraging to see Cindy taking steps forward in her own faith while simultaneously making sure her grandchildren are being connected to the church and grounded in God’s Word.”

Washington Avenue church of Christ, Jonesboro, Arkansas: Parker Pribble (member) reports, “We are excited to share that our Compassion Card and Visitor programs began this week. Team 1 met and filled out 60 cards for five individuals this past Sunday. During the morning service, Austin led the congregation in a prayer for the list of names on our bookmarks. He then taught the second lesson from John 4, which focused on how Jesus was able to turn a normal conversation into a spiritual one. Following the evening service, Austin spoke for a few minutes about the bookmarks, specifically about the life events that were listed on it. A family of five visited at this service and shared they were looking for a church home. They were treated to some delicious ice cream at Andy’s and expressed that they plan on coming back! In addition, each of their three children received a children’s visitor bag. We have three ongoing Bible studies scheduled this week.”

Harrisburg church of Christ, Arkansas: Mark Weston (elder) reports, “We continue to stay the course. Brock preached the last lesson from the Back to the Bible study booklets Sunday morning. The truth of God’s word is powerful, and he did an excellent job in delivering the message with clarity and conviction. We had three visitors in the assembly, and it is satisfying to know they have heard the truth of the Gospel preached. Having been through all the booklets now, we should be well prepared to use them whenever the opportunity presents itself. I believe our commitment to the evangelism program is fueling our spiritual growth. About ten folks from Compassion Card Team 2 gathered Sunday afternoon and wrote 40 compassion cards. Several new-movers baskets were picked up Sunday evening to be delivered this week. We continue to grow in our service to God as we get more involved in the lives of those in our community. There are a number of follow-up visits that need to be made, and we plan to make those in the coming days and weeks. We look forward to making more connections and sharing the love of God with our neighbors.”

Margaret Street church of Christ, Milton, Florida: Troy Spradlin (preacher) reports, “A visitor recently walked into our building. She was greeted, made to feel welcome, and given a small gift. One of our sisters in Christ connected with her, got her contact information, and kept in touch. The next time she came to services, our sister stepped out of her comfort zone and asked if the visitor would like to study the Bible with her. She then asked another sister in Christ to help her and lead the study, which was outside the comfort zone of the other sister. After studying all three books together, Cathy Dodson obeyed the Gospel and was added to the Lord’s church! Not only are we rejoicing because we have a new sister in Christ, but we are also praising God for our evangelism ministry. Because of the model that has been implemented, the training, and the materials being made readily available, our two sisters in Christ had enough knowledge and tools in place to do something they probably would not have done otherwise. They were able, on their own, to fulfill the Lord’s command of the Great Commission and bring a soul to Christ! To God be the glory! Our current total 2026 Accountability Board numbers are: 234 Contacts Received; 158 Neighbors (Prospects); 831 Compassion Cards sent; 33 Bible studies; two Restorations, and 12 Baptisms.”

Concord Street church of Christ, Orlando, Florida: Billy Dickson (evangelist) reports, “We are excited to share that last Sunday we concluded our congregational Back to the Bible training. We are especially encouraged to see the fruit of this training, as two young people from our youth group decided to put on Christ in baptism. We rejoice with them and pray that they will continue to grow in their new faith. Our Transition Team also met after services on Sunday and has begun making visits to prospects this week. We are excited to see the team move from training into action as they build relationships and seek opportunities to share the Gospel. We appreciate all prayers for our new converts, our ongoing Bible studies, and our Transition Team as they reach out to prospects. We are thankful for what God is doing at Concord Street, and we are encouraged to see the congregation becoming increasingly equipped and engaged in the work of evangelism.”

Stuart church of Christ, Florida: Tom Neth (deacon) reports, “We continue to work faithfully with the process as we look for opportunities to reach people with the Gospel. As the number of new prospects has slowed, we have adjusted our approach rather than slowing down. We have added a few prodigals to our Compassion Card list and are intentionally circling back to some prospects who previously seemed engaged but became distracted as their circumstances improved. These efforts remind us that people’s circumstances change, but their need for God does not. A person who was not ready to respond when we first reached out may be ready when we reconnect. We want to remain faithful and continue looking for those opportunities. We currently have five active Bible studies underway, and we are encouraged by our members’ continued involvement in personal evangelism. Year to date, we have seen 15 baptisms. We continue the regular work of writing compassion cards, greeting visitors, making visits, building relationships, and sharing God’s Word. While not every effort produces an immediate result, we are confident that faithful planting and watering will produce fruit in God’s time.”

Niceville church of Christ, Florida: Joe Palmer (preacher) reports, “This week we sent 18 cards. We added some new people who needed encouragement to the list. We spent a lot of time with new Christians studying the Word and building up believers. We had one study ongoing. On Sunday, a family of five who had visited several weeks ago returned. We will follow up with these good prospects.”

Milestone church of Christ, Cantonment, Florida: Randy Brantley (elder) reports, “It was a little slow last week with many members out of town because school starts this week. We had six visitors yesterday; we sent out 29 compassion cards last week. We are sending out another 27 this week. We will start more training this week, and we will continue two Bible studies.”

Cumming church of Christ, Georgia: Murphy O’Brien (member) reports, “Last week brought 19 new contacts, bringing the year’s total to 60. There were no new visitor information cards last week, but 17 have been collected so far this year. Four visitor follow-ups happened last week, out of 46 total for the year. Cards sent last week totaled 67, pushing the year’s total to 383. There are currently 19 prospects. One Bible study was held last week, with 40 total for the year so far. No baptisms occurred last week, and the year’s total stands at one.”

Cartersville church of Christ, Georgia (remote): Charles Harris (regional trainer) reports, “Donna was baptized Sunday. She is part of our New Mover work. She visited services looking for a church home. Donna was welcomed with open arms and heard a great sermon on baptism. Congregational evangelism was on display. The HTHSOE Student Program continues to grow. Another student has enrolled. Recently, updates were made to the courses, and I believe they are helping the students.”

Gray church of Christ, Georgia (remote): Keith Dixon (preacher) reports, “We are slow this week with cards; we sent two cards and added one prospect. This prospect wants a Bible study, and we have not had a chance to send any cards to this person. One of our members was talking to this prospect at a get-together they were attending and started asking questions, so a Bible study was set up. We have found that we were skipping a step with prospects and making prospects, so we are redoing this area of our evangelism. We are small, so sometimes our numbers do not look that good, but we are trying. We would be happy to meet more members of the Lord’s church in our area. We need workers, and we need members. We are working on both.”

Harrisburg church of Christ, Illinois (remote): Doug Berry (preacher) reports, “We have a family of four new Christians! Our brother, Josh, has been studying with them, and he and another brother, Jamie, baptized them into Christ this past week! We continue to send out cards, now over 700! One of our dear sisters, Stacey, broke her upper leg. She has been part of the team that helps to send out cards. Please pray for her healing.”

Columbus church of Christ, Kansas (remote): Matt Fowler (member) reports, “God has blessed us richly! We attended a Gospel Meeting in Iola this weekend with some great brethren. Dan, who was baptized into Christ last year after we studied with him, attended the meeting. Please be praying for Dan to become faithful in attendance there as he has continued to attend a denomination. We had two visitors on Sunday, and we wrote them compassion cards thanking them for the visit. On Sunday afternoon, we knocked on some doors and met a promising contact, John, who plans on visiting the church sometime soon. On Monday, my wife and I completed Book 3 of Back to the Bible with Joe and Beth. They teach with us at school. Both of them discovered during the study that they were lost. They know what they need to do to be saved, but they need some time to process it. They have such sincere hearts. We appreciate all who will join us in praying for them, so that the Word will continue to work in their hearts and that they will obey the Gospel and become members of the Lord’s church. We are praying the devil does not discourage them from obeying the truth.”

Beloit church of Christ, Kansas (remote): Dustin Dougherty (regional trainer) reports, “I am continuing the study class/training class during the Sunday morning adult class, going through the Believe the Bible booklets, while training the congregation on how to use them. We started last week with everyone filling out the surveys so they would know what was on them, and we will be coming back to them once we start the Back to the Bible portion of the study/training. We are training the saved, teaching the lost, and confirming the Word.”
                                                            
Central church of Christ, Paducah, Kentucky: Adam Faughn (elder) reports, “This week was very encouraging. We were blessed to have a total of five Bible studies, and, while none of the five was Book 1, each one started where the person was. A couple will be moving to Book 1 as soon as PTP is over, and it appears a couple of others are very close to that as well. We were blessed when at least four local guests were present Sunday, and we received another contact through our work at the Farmers’ Market. We are doing our best to prospect each contact made in the last couple of weeks, and we are trying to work toward Bible studies.”

Flatwoods church of Christ, Kentucky (remote): Nathan Adkins (elder) reports, “The Flatwoods congregation has had a ton of visitors in the past two weeks. Yesterday, we had nine new visitors, plus several others who are repeat visitors. We took one family out to eat after services. At the start of our adult Bible classes each week, I have been incorporating a few minutes for us to pray for our prospects, to share a Bible passage about evangelism, to recap our numbers on our accountability board, or to focus on another key step in the steps of church growth. It has been a while since we have had a baptism (three months), but I know we are spreading seeds and more will come. We are sending 18 cards this week. We had one follow-up visit and one Bible study.”

Carriage Oaks church of Christ, Bossier City, Louisiana: Andrew Wynne (preacher) reports, “It has been a wonderful week in evangelism this week at Carriage Oaks. Our compassion card writing continues to remain strong. Team 1 met last Wednesday night to write the next batch. Yesterday, I preached Part 2 of Back to the Bible Book 1. From the feedback I have received, it seems to be helping the members build confidence as well as an important reminder of basic foundational truths. Yesterday, we were blessed to have six visitors for our Sunday morning worship service. I have no doubt the compassion cards played a huge role in tilling the soil. It is so encouraging to start to see fruit from our efforts. Glory to God. For the last few weeks, I have been adding brief articles to our bulletin about the training tools on our evangelism table. Hopefully, with time, patience, and lots of teaching, all of these tools will be utilized in some way to help reach the lost. We appreciate continued prayers for our efforts in the Bossier City/Shreveport area that seeds will continue to be planted and watered and that souls will be saved.”

Gonzales church of Christ, Louisiana: Ben Vallery (deacon) reports, “The Gonzales church of Christ signed 28 cards this week. Our seven Bible studies continue, along with our New Converts’ classes.”

Waldorf church of Christ, Maryland: Eric Day (member) reports, “We had five visitors, and we are conducting follow-up porch visits during the week ahead. We continue to pray for our new mover efforts to yield more prospects.”

Fulton church of Christ, Mississippi: Richard Comer (member) reports, “We continue to send 20 cards per week. We made one new mover visit, and we continue with a Bible study. We are planning to knock doors on August 30.”

Aberdeen church of Christ, Mississippi: Jonathan Hagar (preacher) reports, “We are happy to report that the Vacation Bible School 2026 was a success. It was well attended by the community. We have five prospects and two current Bibles studies from VBS. We had the first Bible study this past Sunday and scheduled the next studies for the coming weeks. We door-knocked prior to VBS and built a new contact list. We continue to grow numerically and spiritually.”

Oak Grove church of Christ, Missouri: David Wiseman (elder) reports, “We have been working the New Mover program and do not always get proofs of our labors. This last Sunday, a young family that recently moved to Oak Grove visited us. They received one of our handwritten notes and visited services this last Sunday. The family let us know they were looking for a church home. Our Sunday service had a total of nine visitors. There are additional opportunities with some other visitors also. We sent out four compassion cards and 32 other cards to members and new movers.”

Oak Forest church of Christ, Goldsboro, North Carolina: Dennis May (elder) reports, “This Sunday we had three visitors, and we were able to give them visitors bags. One was a family who had two young girls and were moving here and were going to be stationed at the Air Base and were being accompanied by the wife’s mother. The other two were individuals who were visiting the congregation and had lived in Goldsboro. One of them was a family member of one of our long-term faithful members who had recently passed away. This individual came back for the evening service and seemed open to talking with us. This Sunday afternoon, the Compassion Card group wrote 133 cards. Over the last week, we have started three new Bible studies. We ask you to please pray that these students will open their hearts to God’s word.”

White Knoll church of Christ, North Carolina: James Reynolds (member) reports, “We have displayed our evangelism materials for the members to use. We want to equip the members to reach the lost, and we pray this will help them.”

Owasso church of Christ, Oklahoma: David Combs(elder) reports, “Following our morning services, Kurtis, one of our elders, talked about bookmark cards and their importance in the process. Then he led a prayer for continued success in spreading the Gospel. Tim Bowman, our spark plug, put our stat board on the screen and talked about our numbers and what they meant. Following our evening services, Group 2 met to write compassion cards. Fifteen card writers wrote 46 cards to be mailed out this week.”

Oklahoma Panhandle State University, Goodwell, Oklahoma: Raoul Ferris (director of Bible Chair) reports, “This week, Isaac and Isaiah Sprouse have joined us and will labor with us as interns until June of 2027. They have hit the road running and are seeking relationships in town. We are hosting a hot dog cookout for the Goodwell High School and Middle School baseball teams, hoping we can build relationships here in the town. We also took the youth of Stratford church of Christ out for appetizers and fellowship. We will be meeting regularly, and next time we will work on training the young men to preach or present devotionals. They seemed hungry and eager to learn. Many are in Bible studies or seeking people who want to study with them. We are in the final steps of making the student center complete. Clean up will be completed by this week, and then the staging of furniture in the area for worship, Bible studies, and fellowship can begin.”

Alkire Road church of Christ, Grove City, Ohio: Tony Dunnagan (member) reports, “The Alkire Road church handed out 20 new movers’ baskets. We obtained ten contact cards. We mailed out 92 compassion cards, and we are excited that we had one baptism this week! We only had two visitors yesterday, but we did get a contact card from one of them.”

New Concord church of Christ, Ohio: Terry Townsend (preacher) reports, “We had two new first-time visitors on Sunday. We also have had a lady visiting with us the last few Sundays who has, periodically, visited with us in time past (unfortunately, we have had zero success trying to get any information from her other than a name; she is very private-natured). She does continue to come and seems interested. We also had the lady back who came to every service last week. Her name is Jenkins (friend of our sister Linda). We have studied Book 1 of Back to the Bible with her. We are praying she continues to show interest so that the studies with her may produce good fruit! Twelve compassion cards were signed by the congregation; we will mail them this week. The twelve individuals receiving these cards include four or five of our shut-ins; the rest are the erring members we are hoping to encourage. Things have slowed significantly here the last couple of months, but there are still souls/hearts that are ripe and ready to harvest.”

East Sparta church of Christ, Magnolia, Ohio: Andrew Masterson (minister) reports, “We had two new visitors this week and sent out 22 compassion cards. We are gearing up for our Back-to-School event (Contacts!) and then our Gospel Meeting. We are praying that both of these events will kick-start a busy fall!”

Barnes church of Christ, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma: John Bellah (evangelist) reports, “Sunday was bittersweet because our two newest brothers in Christ, Bobby and Cody, who are co-workers, had been transferred by their job to another city, and this would be our last Sunday with them. While we are disappointed they are leaving us, we have referred them to congregations where they will be moving. We know they will be inviting others wherever they go. We had one visitor who stayed and ate lunch with us. We are currently sending cards to four individuals.”

Grove church of Christ, Oklahoma: Juan Jarmillo (preacher) reports, “This week, my wife and I will also be traveling to PTP. Last week was a little disappointing. We were able to visit one of our prospects from last month. They were seeking a new church, and we sent them cards, but when we went to visit, they said they had already had found a church. As always, we will try to look for more ways to prospect them. However, we are planning a Back-to-School party for the 24th. Hopefully, we can use this as a spark to have more events for the youth and create more opportunities to bring their friends so we can get more contacts. We started a new batch of compassion cards for new prospects as well. We appreciate all prayers!”

Guymon church of Christ, Oklahoma: Chandler Henderson (evangelist) reports, “Last week, we met to reevaluate each coordinator position, discuss the importance of each role, and begin additional training. We delivered one more new mover basket and hand-delivered ten photos and gifts to community families who attended our VBS. After our Sunday afternoon service, we saw someone broken down a few blocks from the building and stopped to help. After inspecting the vehicle, we replaced the engine thermostat and added coolant. We then made sure they arrived home safely, gave each person an invitation to services with our contact information, and made four additional contacts through that stop. They were deeply touched by the kindness, and in all, we made five new contacts. Our visitor from last week did not come for the Bible study, so we plan to visit him later this week. We currently have ten contacts, seven prospects, 35 cards sent, five visits made, one visit planned for this week, and four Bible studies.”

York church of Christ, Pennsylvania: Mark Rashke (deacon) reports, “We had more families back from vacation this week, and a few repeat visitors, so it was one of our highest attendance weeks this summer. We continue to work to build relationships with the repeat visitors, in an effort to win studies. We sent cards this week to recent visitors, and of course we have many who continue to pray for the church’s evangelistic efforts. Fred and Pam are heading to Polishing the Pulpit this week, and we have our movie night and devotional coming up on Saturday.”

Saint Andrews Road church of Christ, Columbia, South Carolina: Jamie Byrom (minister) reports, “This week our congregation wrote 60 compassion cards to our prospects for evangelism. We made three transition visits; one was to a recent visitor, one was to a person recovering from a health issue, and one was a second follow-up transition visit to a contact who is also recovering from health issues. We gave out two visitor bags this past Sunday. The sermon on Sunday night was called ‘The Gospel Is for All,’ and it was about not pre-judging a prospect and the need for the evangelist to be knowledgeable in the Word.”

East Main church of Christ, Murfreesboro, Tennessee: Brad Rowley (elder) reports, “We rejoice in the baptism of Shelby West. Shelby is part of our college ministry and has been studying with our college minister, Jeffrey Smith. We rejoice in the baptism of Jordan, Randall, Lorenzo, and Diante, who have been studying with our members involved in the prison ministry. We will deliver Bibles to them this week. We are so thankful for those who work in this ministry. During the month of July, our compassion card teams wrote 164 cards. We get regular feedback from those who receive these cards; they are very effective. We received eight new contact cards during the month. We started 12 new Bible studies in July. We delivered 15 new mover baskets. We had our quarterly community outreach last weekend.  We delivered boxed lunches to each of our fire stations in Murfreesboro. We are hopeful for new contacts. To God give the glory!”

Hillcrest church of Christ, Springfield, Tennessee: Tim Taylor (evangelist) reports, “We are in the process of following up with the families we were privileged to serve through our Backpack and School Supplies Giveaway. In all, there were 62 families, and 29 of those requested additional help with basic necessities and/or Bible studies. We have over 20 from our church family who have volunteered to ‘adopt’ these prospects and follow up with their requests. Others have made monetary donations to help support this effort. We are excited to serve these souls, and we are praying that our efforts will bear good fruit. Shannon, one of our dear sisters, responded during our Spiritual Emphasis Weekend Seminar, seeking prayers and restoration. We are encouraged by her desire to serve the Lord! Janice, who has been visiting with us for a few weeks, has placed her membership with us at Hillcrest. We are thankful to have her as part of our family!”

Covington church of Christ, Tennessee: Wayne Dalrymple (elder) reports, “It has been a great two weeks at Covington! Our new minister, Josh Manning, started preaching for us on August 2. Partially because of that and other factors, we had two of our biggest crowds of the year with quite a few visitors, including several from outside the church. We have written cards to these visitors and hope to develop more of a relationship with them. Delores (the wife of one of our elders) continues her study with Melissa. They have finished Book 2 of BTTB and should be meeting again soon. We are also reaching out to one of our local schools. We have collected donations for school supplies and will be delivering those soon, along with several cards to the faculty and staff expressing our appreciation to them and telling them we are praying for them. Jeff Phillips, our youth minister, stands outside the school every morning to greet the students as they go in. Another effort we are excited about is the first-ever area-wide Gospel Meeting. All six congregations in Tipton County are cooperating in this effort! We hope to make a big impact in our county. We will go door knocking the Saturday before to invite people to the meeting and to try to make contacts. We appreciate all prayers for our efforts.”

Cookeville church of Christ, Tennessee: Daniel Burton (member) reports, “This week, 20 compassion cards were sent to four prospects. One of the couples we are currently studying with brought a visitor, and that visitor has now expressed an interest in studying the Bible as well.  Very encouraging. We also previously went through the Back to the Bible series with a very sweet lady who did not respond to the Gospel at that time. We later gave her Muscle and a Shovel to read, and after reading it, she has questions. She is going to meet with the Treat family. We continue prayer for her and all the others. We are thankful for these opportunities and encouraged to see doors continuing to open for the Gospel.”

Collierville church of Christ, Tennessee: Justin Evergarden (evangelist) reports, “We had a very encouraging week here in Collierville! Our year-to-date numbers have now reached 29 new visitors, 730 cards sent, five visits made, 50 prospects, six active Bible studies, and 62 new movers baskets delivered. This week alone we added three visitors and ten prospects, and we are thankful to see another Bible study underway. We continue to pray that these growing contacts will turn into opportunities to teach the Gospel.”

Birdwell Chapel church of Christ, Cottontown, Tennessee: Kerry England (elder) reports, “Sunday, we had several visitors for our morning worship service, which was exciting. One couple indicated they were looking for a church home. Members were trying to reach out to them yesterday.  The Compassion Card team mailed cards to 22 families who had come to our backpack and food giveaway recently. There is a young man we were helping to get in an apartment after being homeless. He says he is an unbeliever and has never been religious. We explained to him that we were helping him because we love him and God loves him. He indicates that he realizes that and is beginning to question his unbelief. He was given a Bible and some literature to read. We will try to follow up with the Bible study if he is willing.”

Soddy church of Christ, Soddy Daisy, Tennessee: Joe Mallory (preacher), “It is hard to believe that the majority of our students have gone back to school! We are praying for a successful year of growth and opportunity. Some teenagers in our church family are continuing to hold Bible studies with their friends and ask for prayers for receptive soil. Yesterday, we had the privilege of meeting three new families (visitors) at services, one of whom is a close friend of one of our elders. This week, we will finish the Believe the Bibleseries with our good friend and begin to move into Back to the Bible. He has really enjoyed getting to know God, our Designer and Author, through the first two booklets, and he is excited to learn about Jesus this week! We appreciate all prayers for Mark.”

West Sparta church of Christ, Tennessee: Justin Turney (deacon) reports, “We are in a reassessment phase, as I mentioned last week. We are going to rebuild hopefully from now through the end of the year, and we have a good place to do that between our VBS and our Gospel Meeting. We currently have five prospects, but we do not have any Bible studies. We have slacked on our coordinators and on our visits, but we are going to return and move in the right direction.”

White Bluff church of Christ, Tennessee: Shamron Jackson (elder) reports, “We had another great week. We had 36 visitors. Several of those are due to compassion cards. We had at least one couple that we were able to take to lunch. We are sending 160 cards out this week. We had two baptisms this week, Melton Jack and Claire Jackson. We have some momentum building; we appreciate all prayers.”

Freewill church of Christ, Gainesboro, Tennessee (remote): Andrew Scott (preacher) reports, “We are excited as we have added two new names to our prospect list. They will be receiving get well cards this week. One of our new converts brought visitors to the services last night, and we will begin prospecting them as well. This same new convert, Brock McQuiston, will be preaching next Sunday morning. He has developed notes for the lesson as good as any seasoned Gospel Preacher would. This young man has a great talent that is going to take him very far in the service of the Lord’s church. I can hardly wait to share his story as well as so many others at PTP. To God be the glory!”

Chapel Hill church of Christ, Tennessee: Matt Jones (deacon) reports, “We are in the process of following up with all of our visitors that joined us during our VBS. We use this as a time to touch base with them again and let them know that we are still thinking about them. We send each visitor a card to thank them and invite them back again. On the Bible study front, we are still patiently working on a few couples with whom we plan to study as soon as they are ready. Many are still visiting our assembly and involved in our Bible classes on a regular basis. We pray that hearts will be opened and God’s Word obeyed.”

Southern Hills church of Christ, Franklin, Tennessee: Fredrick Klein (preacher) reports, “In our elders meeting we discussed starting up the compassion card ministry again. Our weekly ladies’ group will be taking charge of it for now. We look forward to continuing adding more items that focus on evangelism in the future.”

Mountain Creek church of Christ, Chattanooga, Tennessee: Michael Tomshack (elder) reports, “As we delineate in the evangelism process, retaining new converts is equally crucial. On Sunday morning, our newest male convert arrived early as per his custom and inquired if it was permissible for him to serve as a greeter, though it was not his designated Sunday for greeting. Naturally, I affirmed his request. Additionally on Sunday, he delivered a devotional talk at the assisted living facility situated across the street from the building. Although he expressed nervousness, he emphasized that this was an essential step in his spiritual journey. Another of our recent converts commenced serving on the Lord’s table, and he was delighted to participate. Last month, during the Young Professional Connect Group meeting, I asked him to lead a prayer, explaining that this was an ideal opportunity to practice leading a public prayer. Despite his initial apprehension, he graciously led us in prayer. This month, I asked him to pray for the meal during our group meeting. He readily agreed and noted that the second time was significantly more comfortable. These instances exemplify the ‘Keepers’ aspect of the Evangelism process in action.”

Rivergate church of Christ, Madison, Tennessee: Doug Tooley (preacher) reports, “We had five visitors on Wednesday for our Summer Series. On Sunday Morning, we had six visitors, and then three on Sunday night. We had one come forward on Wednesday for prayers of forgiveness and health.”

Whitehouse church of Christ, Texas: Cody Stewart (evangelist) reports, “We have already begun to make progress here at Whitehouse. Our evangelism centers in the building were set up last week with the materials provided to us during the seminar. An area has been made to keep a surplus of those materials in order to restock so our members are always equipped to reach the lost. As of this morning, we have already had to replenish several Bible study materials that our members are planning to utilize. This past Sunday, Kris, our pulpit minister, preached on the parable of the talents and the evangelism model at our morning and evening services. The post-seminar survey was given to the members, and our elders each spoke to encourage the congregation to support and participate in these efforts as they begin to select coordinators.”

Stratford church of Christ, Texas: Chad Theis (coordinator) reports, “This past week we were blessed with 11 visitors. In our prospecting efforts, we sent out 67 compassion cards and completed seven visits. We conducted two Bible studies. Although we had no baptisms at our congregation during this time, we continue to see encouraging growth through follow-up work. We are actively sending follow-up cards and making visits related to the three hours of door-knocking carried out by seven groups during our VBS. We are also following up with a family that attended VBS, with whom a couple of our ladies had meaningful spiritual conversations. In addition, a young man in our congregation had been studying with a friend from another town. She expressed a desire to be baptized and discussed it with her family, who already attend a neighboring congregation of the Lord’s church. This led to a larger Bible study with their elders that involved five young people, none of whom had previously been baptized. As a result, three of them obeyed the Gospel in baptism.”

Southwest church of Christ, Austin, Texas: Bryce Mayfield (evangelist) reports, “This past week we hosted Servants Academy. During his event, we take 40 high school-age students and introduce them to the Southwest School of Bible Studies. During this time, we included two lessons on how these kids could be active evangelists right now. Southwest is dedicated to getting our young Christians involved in our evangelism efforts. May God be glorified in them!”

San Saba church of Christ, Texas: Justin Bell (preacher) reports, “Things are still going great here at San Saba. We currently have nine prospects and ten transition visits to make this week. We currently only have two Bible studies, so hopefully we can get some more Bible studies from the transition visits.”

Roanoke church of Christ, Texas: Caleb Rutherford (preacher) reports, “We had our Gospel Meeting over the weekend with Josh Cantrell. We treated it more as an edification event for our own members. We are still working through the many contacts we received from AMC, and thus did not try to create any more contacts through the Gospel Meeting. We continue to assign contacts to our transition visit. We appreciate prayers for our 11 ongoing studies. We had 37 visitors on Sunday as results continue from our evangelistic outreach.”

Bridge Avenue church of Christ, Weslaco, Texas: Brualio Carvajal (preacher) reports, “Last week we conducted our first Congregational summer camp. Six children attended, none of whom had attended our services in the past. We were able to teach them about the Bible, and we taught them songs and began building relationships with them. We will be following up with them and their parents soon. We had nine visitors at our Sunday services. We have four ongoing Bible studies and continue having great attendance in our New Converts’ classes. On Monday of last week, Bridge Avenue was invited to a Back-to-School Bash at an apartment complex down the road from our building. We were able to make contact with over 30 people, and we gave out 26 backpacks containing school supplies to students preparing for their first week of school.”

Colleyville church of Christ, Texas: John Garza (evangelist) reports, “As I have recently written about, we are really expending a lot of energy and effort toward retaining our new Christians. We are studying with them, spending more time with them outside of Sundays and Wednesdays. We are doing our best to learn how to best help them in their lives physically, so they can be more focused on the spiritual. Additionally, we updated the way we write cards, and the results have been amazing, as we have received more cards than in the past. We have one Bible study taking place, and we are doing our best to encourage brethren who are falling on hard times. Many good works are happening — many positive things to look ahead to. We just have to keep working!”

Northern Oaks church of Christ, San Antonio, Texas: Rob McNicols (elder) reports, “We have five Bible studies going on, and we have seven in our New Converts class. One of the Bible studies looks promising for an upcoming baptism.”

Bridgewater church of Christ, Katy, Texas: Doug Suggs (deacon) reports, “At Bridgewater, we had another baptism this week. Julian came to a Bible study that Jim has with some young adults on Friday night, and he was immersed into Christ. This gave us our ten baptisms, which was our goal, but we still want to find other souls. One of our Compassion Card teams met Sunday evening, and we are sending cards to some who were recently baptized and to encourage others. We have a couple of studies in progress, and we are trying to study with others.”

Wheeler church of Christ, Texas: Garrett English (preacher) reports, “My wife and I studied Book 3 with the woman who asked about baptism. She understood what she needs to do but had not yet made the decision despite our best efforts. We are studying again today to finish the book in hopes she makes it soon. We had our last VBS, which went very well! More new contacts were made, and follow-up will be charged to the young families who attended VBS all summer. We had a funeral this Friday, and a woman said, ‘Your services are always so nice; I ought to just come to church with y’all.’ I told her she was welcome anytime. We may be able to make a transition to study in the next couple of weeks.  Addendum: She was baptized Monday afternoon!”

North Jefferson church of Christ, Mount Pleasant, Texas: Davin Whatley (associate minister) reports, “Reach Team 2 met yesterday and wrote cards. Last week, I had lunch with Austin (member) and his girlfriend, Nathali, on Thursday. She was not able to study then, but she expressed interest in learning more about the church next time we get together (hopefully this week). Janice is working to set up a study with Chelle after a successful transition visit, and Jeff is trying to meet up with Joe and Oscar (two frequent visitors).”

Seagoville church of Christ, Texas: Kodie Martin (evangelist) reports, “We had a fantastic turnout at our annual School Supplies Drive. We had between 150-200 visitors, met 45 families, and established five great prospects even before the event was over. We will now begin to follow up and prospect those we contacted. We wrote 40 compassion cards this past Sunday afternoon. Other than that, we continue to be blessed with visitors and studies, and although several studies were postponed, the recent events continue to revitalize us as we press on for the glory of God!”

Williamsburg church of Christ, Virginia: Jim Bishop (elder) reports, “The Williamsburg church of Christ was blessed again this week with a local couple seeking a congregation. They attended the afternoon service, and they were very happy to be part of the service. We are also following up on a voicemail seeking information on the congregation. School bags are complete; on Saturday, the bags will be distributed to area apartment complexes and at the building. Our next door-knocking event is planned for August 16, and cards are prepared for sending on August 17. We continue our prayers for many who are seeking to spread the Gospel. We also pray for those who are seeking the Word.”

West Side church of Christ, Salem, Virginia: Jeff Durham (elder) reports, “During our Small Groups discussions last Sunday evening, we talked about ways we can make ‘kindness’ truly become a mindset for us. How can we be more intentional with our kindness? We need to look for opportunities around us to perform even the smallest thoughtful gesture, such as opening a door or giving a cheerful greeting to people we do not know. We need to think about how God’s Word and His people have influenced us in our daily lives. Does someone feel lighter or heavier after an interaction with us? Are we only generous towards others when it is easy? Taking advantage of opportunities to express kindness towards others lets the light of Jesus shine through us, and it may open the door to a deeper discussion about how He has changed our lives for the better.”
