Success Stories: July 29, 2026

Glencoe church of Christ, Alabama: Keith Ritchie (evangelist) reports, “So far, in July, the Glencoe church of Christ has recorded: 56 visitors, 20 prospects, 168 compassion cards sent, 22 visits made, two ongoing Bible studies, and nine baptisms (for the year). We are actively setting up outreach efforts in our community that will allow us to evangelize. Glencoe is also very active in keeping the saved and also attempting to fish for those who got away. Part of successful evangelism is not only being fishers of men but mending the nets (Mark 1:9). May God bless us in our efforts as we strive to share the Gospel and do His will!”

Hatton church of Christ, Town Creek, Alabama: Chris Miller (preacher) reports, “Brock Rutherford opened a conversation with one of his employees this week while they mended fences on the farm. On Friday, this led to a study, and they stopped working and opened the Bible. Around 4:00, we met them at the building, and Sam Compton asked, “What hinders me from being baptized?” Brock baptized Sam into Christ, and we all rejoice. Daily evangelism continues.”

Petersville church of Christ, Florence, Alabama: Adam Richardson (preacher) reports, “The Petersville family sent a group to Bayou La Batre, Alabama, last week to work with the church there. They did home repairs and yard work, gave out food and clothes, and conducted a VBS. Contacts were left with the local church there to follow up, but prayers for the Kingdom’s good influence continue. We also sent 36 compassion cards. A couple we have been meeting with regularly after Bible studies finished and has finally acknowledged the importance of correct baptism.  We hope they will soon commit to that step in their journey.”

Central church of Christ, Saraland, Alabama: Steve Jernigan (elder) reports, “This week, our new pulpit minister Jason Chesser started his work here at Central. He and his wife Wendy are great additions to our family here. Members that have been away for a while due to illness were present in the worship, which made Sunday almost like a homecoming. Our evangelism effort has now slowed down, and we are hoping it will increase with the renewed efforts spoken from the pulpit. Cards are being sent, always hoping for just one more soul to be converted—that good and honest soul searching for the truth.”

Creekwood church of Christ, Mobile, Alabama: Tucker Presley (preacher) reports, “We’ve been sending cards out to VBS visitors and have had multiple VBS guests visit us!  We still have two Bible studies going on as well. New mover’s work continues as well.”

Cedar Grove church of Christ, Andalusia, Alabama: Joshua Holloway (preacher) reports, “We are thankful for another encouraging week of evangelism and outreach! This past Saturday, we held our Back-to-School Backpack Drive at the church building. Our members generously donated school supplies, allowing us to prepare 63 backpacks for children in our community. Our youth group and several parents came out to help us pack the bags. We invited families from the community to come by the building, where we served hot dogs and gave away the backpacks. Several of our Sunday school teachers were there to welcome our visitors, meet the children, and personally invite them to Bible class and worship. But we wanted these bags to provide more than school supplies. Each backpack also contained a Bible, a personalized card written by one of our young ladies, an invitation to worship with us, and several tracts and materials teaching the Gospel and explaining how to be saved. We were able to distribute 43 of the 63 backpacks, giving us an opportunity to meet several families and secure a number of contacts for future outreach. We plan to deliver the remaining 20 backpacks to a low-income area in Andalusia within the next few weeks. We request prayers that these backpacks will open doors for more conversations, Bible studies, and opportunities to share the Gospel. This week, we are sending out 75 evangelism cards, bringing our July total to 294 cards and our grand total to 5,886 cards sent since we began this program. We continue to pray that each card will reach someone who needs encouragement, and, most importantly, an opportunity to hear the Gospel. Our regular Bible studies continue each week. At present, we are studying regularly with three new converts and two non-Christians. We were also blessed with an additional Bible study this week. One of our deacons arranged a Bible study with his coworker, David. Please continue praying for David, for the individuals in our regular studies, for the families we met through the backpack drive, and for every person we are trying to reach through our compassion cards.”

Bergman church of Christ, Harrison, Arkansas: Vince Stewart (preacher) reports, “We sent out compassion cards to a lady who lost her fiancé in the motorcycle crash. Sunday, we went over more ways to use the invitation cards.”

Fayette church of Christ, Alabama: Josh Taylor (deacon) reports, “I was fortunate to have a Bible study yesterday with two people who have been visiting with us. I have mentioned we have a lot of visitors, and we are working through those contacts. We studied Back to the Bible and continually hope that the seed grows in their hearts! We will be doing additional studies with them in the near future. To God be the glory!”

Northside church of Christ, Harrison, Arkansas: Larry Keener (elder) reports, “Northside church of Christ continues to develop our ministry models. Our Wednesday night evangelism training class has brought one to Christ. We have one Bible study in progress and a transition visits plan. To God’s Glory.”

Washington Avenue church of Christ, Jonesboro, Arkansas: Parker Pribble (member), “This week, the evangelism plan was rolled out to the congregation. Our preacher, Austin Wiggins, discussed the post-seminar survey during his Sunday morning lesson. The congregation filled these out, and the elders will review them this coming week. Austin also gave our first evangelism training session after the evening service. During the training, the bookmarks were passed out to the congregation. We were encouraged to begin adding names to the contact list on our own bookmark. We had five Bible studies this week. Two of these were with the young couple mentioned in last week’s report. These went well, and they have scheduled another Bible study for next Sunday.”

Harrisburg church of Christ, Arkansas: Mark Weston (elder) reports, “We finished July with eight visitors and 180 compassion cards mailed. We also worked with 17 prospects, made nine visits, and had two baptisms. I would say that in spite of the hot month, we did a great job! We met again following services last night and prepared another 25 compassion cards to send out this week. About 12 members stayed and helped with that effort, and we continue to be encouraged by how this simple program is reaching our community and softening hearts. We are in the process of putting together new movers gift bags; we will distribute them within the next week or so. We have 19 to pass out, and it should give us several new contacts. We have learned to work the program and give it time to work. Patience has done us well. As I mentioned last week, Tunene and I have been getting things ready and doing some more training so that we can leave in August and take a trip to Alaska. We are leaving things in good hands here! I would love to come home at the end of August and have additional brothers and sisters in Christ, a board full of contacts that are being worked, and Bible Studies going regularly. If anyone can do that, it is this congregation in Harrisburg! We have instructed many members; we stocked up on compassion cards and stamps, and we know that the members here in Harrisburg will continue to do a great job! That is the beauty of this program. It is a team effort, and the members here have really been putting forth an effort. I am so proud to be a part of this fellowship of Christians!”

Margaret Street church of Christ, Milton, Florida: Troy Spradlin (preacher) reports, “We are rejoicing and singing praises to God as another precious soul was added to the Kingdom! Emma Dunaway decided to be immersed into the blood of Jesus to have her sins washed away this past Sunday. Her father, Jeremy, had the privilege of baptizing her. This is a whole family of faithful Kingdom workers, and we are overjoyed for them. We also just completed a wonderful VBS with a good attendance of 73 kids registered; nine were visitors and new contacts. Our current total 2026 Accountability Board numbers are: 217 Contacts Received; 155 Neighbors (Prospects); 787 Compassion Cards sent; 28 Bible studies; one Restoration, and 11 Baptisms.”

Concord Street church of Christ, Orlando, Florida: Billy Dickson (evangelist) reports, “Please join us in praying for our ongoing Bible studies, our new converts, and the continued evangelistic efforts of our congregation. We rejoice to welcome our new sister in Christ, Samantha, who was baptized on Sunday. We are thankful for her decision to follow Christ, and we request prayers as she begins her new life in Him. Our Transition Team continues to train and will soon begin making visits to visitors and prospects. We are especially encouraged that two of our sisters have assembled beautiful gift bags to take on these visits, providing a warm expression of Christian love and hospitality. Next week, we will conclude our congregational Back to the Bible training as we wrap up Lesson 3. This past Sunday, more than 30 members stayed after services for the training, and the excitement and enthusiasm were evident. It has been encouraging to see the congregation embrace evangelism and prepare to reach more souls with the Gospel. We appreciate all prayers as we strive to equip the saints and make disciples.”

Stuart church of Christ, Florida: Tom Neth (deacon) reports, “This week, we were blessed to witness the life-changing power of the Gospel once again as two more people were baptized into Christ. Rejoicing with these new Christians is always one of the greatest blessings of this work, and we are thankful that God continues to open hearts through the faithful teaching of His Word. These baptisms bring our total to 15 baptisms year to date, a reminder that consistent, personal evangelism continues to bear fruit. We are especially encouraged to see so many of these opportunities coming through member-led Bible studies and relationships developed over time. Our congregation remains committed to the daily work of outreach. Members continue writing compassion cards, greeting visitors, making personal connections, and inviting others to study the Bible. While these efforts may seem ordinary, God continues to use them in extraordinary ways. We are grateful for the unity and enthusiasm within the congregation as more members become involved in sharing their faith.”

Niceville church of Christ, Florida: Joe Palmer (preacher) reports, “People are important. Souls are eternal. Sin is the universal problem. The Gospel is the only solution. Sharing the Gospel with someone is the most important thing anyone can do because it is the only solution to the eternal problem of sin. A few weeks ago, we met Mason and Valerie, young college interns who stayed around for a potluck. Mason has been affiliated with the churches of Christ for some time. Valerie is a sweet young lady with a bright smile and a love for God from a Lutheran background. This past week, we had an opportunity to study with them. We got part of the way through Does it Matter and set another study for Monday night. When Monday came, I had a big problem with severe pain in my leg that would not let me stand on it. I went to the doctor and got good news that it just needed ice and rest. My wife told me the Gospel study had to be a priority. I had hoped she would feel this way. You see, Mason and Valerie are leaving soon to go back to college. We had already fallen in love with these young people. God blessed my leg with healing, and by evening I was able to stand and cook with the aid of crutches. My wife stopped work early and carried most of the load of preparation. After dinner, we sat and talked about God’s plan for marriage and shared some time talking about relationships. We got into the study, and they had so many questions and much discussion. The Gospel presentation was convicting because it showed each step commanded, and the scripture showed we were lost without taking that step. Mason had said he was not sure he was saved earlier. He had been baptized as a baby and at age eight years old. We had all thought he was a member of the church based on his words and affiliation with the church; however, he needed to hear the Gospel. Mason decided he was not putting his faith in his baptism as a baby. He agreed to be baptized that night. Valerie was convicted but is now counting the cost. It is hard to leave behind what has comforted her for years. I have no doubt this young lady will follow God. Her heart is so sweet. Her love for God is so clear. Tonight we have another study. It is easy to let something stand in the way of sharing the Gospel. However, it is the most important thing we can do. It is also the most joyous thing, especially when you see someone obey the Lord and Christians gather to share their love with a new brother. We had six studies this week and had two new visitors.”

Milestone church of Christ, Cantonment, Florida: Randy Brantley (elder) reports, “On Saturday, we continued our training on transitional visits in preparation for this week when we will be going into the community and making visits. We also have three Bible studies planned.”

Cumming church of Christ, Georgia: Murphy O’Brien (member) reports, “Our congregation is in the process of setting up our evangelism table and visitor table. This past week, we had five new contacts, bringing our total for the year to 37. We gathered visitor information from one new visitor, bringing the year’s total to 17, and we completed three visitor follow-ups last week, for a year-to-date total of 37. We sent out 37 cards last week, bringing our total cards sent this year to 298. We currently have 11 prospects. Last week we held two Bible studies, bringing our total for the year to 39. There were no baptisms last week, and our total baptisms for the year stands at one.”

Warner Robins church of Christ, Georgia: Damien Walker (evangelist) reports, “We had our Back to School Breakfast, and we had ended up with 99 visitors. We yielded 29 addresses for sending cards.  Running local Facebook ads when we have a community event brings in local people. That and the power of personal invitations. We had 26 visitors yesterday, went out to lunch with one of them, and made a good connection. We are also connecting with a man who started a study on World Bible School and is attending most services right now. We will start a Bible study with him soon.”

Cartersville church of Christ, Georgia (remote): Charles Harris (regional trainer) reports, “Bible studies continue to take place. Currently, a couple of studies are taking place outside of Cartersville and closer to other sound churches. We focus primarily on Cartersville, but if we can help build up the church elsewhere, we are all for it. Recently, I have sent out assigned quizzes for a few of our HTHSOE students. I am looking forward to grading them and seeing what the students are learning.”

Woodstock church of Christ, Georgia: Matt Amos (preacher) reports, “Woodstock church of Christ (WCOC) and the Cherokee Center for Nursing and Healing (CCNH) and Sunabella Assistant Living Facility (SALF) conducted devotionals on Sunday. CCNH had three and SALT had eight non-Christians in attendance. The New Movers Door Knocking Campaign knocked on four doors with two contacts made. We had six visitors this past Sunday. The compassion group sent out 18 compassion cards. WCOC had seven Bible studies last week. We rejoice in welcoming two new baptisms. “

Gray church of Christ, Georgia (remote): Keith Dixon (preacher) reports, “We sent 10 cards and have two prospects. We also had two visitors, a mother and daughter, and we are trying to work with them. The mother is 96 years old.”

Harrisburg church of Christ, Illinois: Doug Berry (preacher) reports, “A week ago, I returned from a two-week mission trip to the Czech Republic and Lviv, Ukraine for Camp AmeriKraine. It was my fourth trip in five years. The Lord’s evangelism work continued while I was gone. Since I have been back, we have had our two new Christians in a Newcomer’s Bible Study once a week. Also, a new family has been studying on Wednesday night at the church building from the three books! I am including a picture of our record board. We know that there are many ways we can improve, but we continue on in this great work! We are looking forward to Keno Shrum coming to us August 22-23!”

Collinsville-Troy church of Christ, Illinois: Jason Wright (evangelist) reports, “The evangelism class with the teens concluded with us going out and putting our training into practice. We had five classes that lasted two hours each. I was asked by students and parents, ‘When are we doing that again?’” We went out and knocked on 12 doors, delivered six baskets, and made four contacts. That is exactly the percentage we are hoping for. The kids were confident and eager to talk at the door. What a blessing! We mailed 18 compassion cards and conducted three studies. We had a Sunday training on the History of the Church Timeline bookmark. We continue to have several out of town on vacations.”

15th Street church of Christ, Ottawa, Kansas (remote): Brady Altic (associate minister) reports, “We visited the ones who received our cards. It sounds like one of the families that came to VBS is planning on coming to Wednesday evening Bible studies to learn more! Clayton and I did some door knocking and found that someone had a neighbor who could be uplifted with some cards. So we will start sending to him next. We are eager and excited to share God’s word. Prayers are appreciated and needed for our congregation to stay steadfast in this work for the Lord.”

Beloit church of Christ, Kansas (remote): Dustin Dougherty (regional trainer) reports, “What a great week it was at Polishing the Pulpit in Branson, Missouri. We left and headed back home, fully recharged and energized to get back to work locally. When we returned home, we had received a card to the congregation from one of the new movers’ contacts that I had dropped off a basket to prior to leaving town. It was a very nice gesture, and we look forward to having him worship with us in the near future. Last week on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, we had a booth set up at the local county fair, giving away Bibles and books like Muscle and a Shovel and Transformed, as well as inviting people to our Vacation Bible School this week. We had some good conversations at the booth, handed out several pieces of material, and had several genuine conversations with families that were potentially interested in our Vacation Bible School this week. Time will tell, but it was very promising. We have a group with us this week from the Covington, Tennessee, church of Christ that is here to help with our VBS. We pray that many contacts are made, and many seeds are planted in those who attend. To God be the glory and souls may be saved.”
                                                            
Central church of Christ, Paducah, Kentucky: Adam Faughn (elder) reports, “This week, we followed up with a couple of contacts from our recent booth at the Farmers’ Market. One, a new mover, seemed very interested, and we are hoping to meet with him and his family again this week. We were blessed to have a couple of local guests yesterday and look forward to prospecting them. This week, we have a booth at the county fair; using techniques learned at the recent AMC in Roanoke, we are praying for many contacts through this effort.”

Spring Creek church of Christ, Hickory, Kentucky: David Morse (elder) reports, “Greetings from the Spring Creek congregation. It has been a big week at Spring Creek. We have had six people agree to Bible studies. Five of those are visitors from our community, including two different families. We are not adding them to our Bible study numbers, but we will add those following the first completed study. We also had one prodigal, who had never attended worship at Spring Creek, join us and came forward, asking for prayers. Our current numbers include:  Visitors – 26, Prospects – 18, Cards – 2,564, Bibles Studies – three (with an additional six pending), Baptisms – five, Baptism Goal – seven.”

Carriage Oaks church of Christ, Bossier City, Louisiana: Andrew Wynne (preacher) reports, “Our compassion card writing is on the right track. We had a team meeting this past Wednesday night; it has been an organized effort for several weeks now. Our New Movers team is busy delivering bags to those who have recently moved to our community. Yesterday, one of our men conducted training and feedback for the New Movers program. I took some time yesterday afternoon after our PM service to conduct training on our evangelism table. I plan to take the next several weeks to write articles about the evangelism tools on our table so the members can be more familiar with them. Our VBS is scheduled for this Saturday. This would be an excellent opportunity to make contacts. We request prayers so that we can make a number of contacts from this effort, and that this will be an event where strong teaching takes place to help build a solid foundation for our youth and that everyone involved will be edified.”

Gonzales church of Christ, Louisiana: Ben Vallery (deacon) reports, “The Gonzales church of Christ signed seven cards this week. We have seven ongoing studies, and we rejoice in a baptism that resulted from one study last week. We continue our classes for New Converts on Sundays and Wednesdays.”

Waldorf church of Christ, Maryland: Eric Day (member) reports, “At Waldorf, we had five visitors with us. Two were a mother and her daughter who received our compassion cards. This was the first time they joined us, and they greatly enjoyed the service. They helped us build our New Movers baskets and also provided us with suggestions on how to strengthen our outreach to the community. We originally planned to build 12 baskets, but with all the support that we got, we built 17 baskets. We delivered nine of those baskets to our new neighbors and received some great contacts. Many are new to the area and were really happy to receive the gift and meet us. We will be sending cards to them this week and encouraging our neighbors to join us for worship and build connections that will soon lead to Bible studies. We appreciate all the prayers, and we ask that they will continue for us as we continue to show our neighbors the love that God gives to us, as well as reaching out to the many so we can find the few.”

La Plata church of Christ, Maryland: Eric Sykes (regional trainer) reports, “We had an amazing community outreach event at the La Plata Town Hall on Friday. We were invited by the Charles County event planner to participate with one of the local radio station’s WGTS 91.9 summertime Ice Cream Tour and Diaper Drive. We had a great time interacting with members of the local community. Young and ‘not-so-young’ had a great time stopping by to spin our ‘Bible Question & Answer’ wheel, and to chat with us. The Mayor of La Plata decided to stop by and give it a spin, and she answered correctly; she is a nice lady. We had members from Waldorf, Beltway, and Capital Heights churches of Christ stop by and help out. We had a fantastic time. We handed out dozens of flyers inviting folks to our upcoming Vacation Bible School. We handed out a similar number of our latest HTH newsletter to folks as well. We gave out a dozen Bibles and two dozen La Plata church of Christ coffee mugs, which contained our contact information, several mints, an invitation card, and the tract ‘What to Expect When You Visit a Church of Christ’ with our HTH/HTH newsletter inside of it. We filled out nine contact cards, received one potential Bible study, and a benevolence request. Our New Movers team delivered four baskets. Our transition visit team put together 30 transition visitation packages to be delivered starting this week. Our compassion card team wrote 97 cards this week. We currently have four open Bible studies. We want to thank everyone who prayed for our congregation last week on ‘Praying for You’ in reference to the success of our upcoming VBS and scheduled fall events. We appreciate kind words and prayers that are truly an uplifting encouragement for the saints here at La Plata. God is truly in the blessing business. God Bless!”

Oak Grove church of Christ, Missouri: David Wiseman (elder) reports, “During the last couple of weeks, we have made 17 transition card visits. Eleven of those were home. One new Bible study has begun, and we are definitely excited about this. On Sunday we had four visitors, and one of those is local and looking for a new church home. We are following up with her. Our last two training lessons were on invitation cards and mentors. We are making a push to give out more invitation cards. We have Keno scheduled for this September for additional training.”

Iuka church of Christ, Mississippi: Sam Glover (preacher) reports, “The turnout from the Ladies’ Class invitation campaign was smaller than expected, but still welcome. We had two positive prospects, both of whom have been sent sets of cards and assigned people to be followed up with, and they’ve continued to come back. Right now, we are gearing up for a Back to School event for the community, and I’m optimistic about what it’ll present. I’d also request prayers, as a few congregations in the area are considering ‘consolidating’ for the month of February, having everyone from each congregation attend in one place each week, with a different congregation’s building being used each week. I think it’s an exciting opportunity, especially because I already believe that in cases where there are several smaller congregations in a small region, it actually makes sense in the long term to consolidate. I don’t know that it will lead to a long-term plan to fully consolidate, but I know it will be a wonderful opportunity for fellowship and encouragement between siblings in Christ.”

Aberdeen church of Christ, Mississippi: Jonathan Hagar (preacher) reports, “WE HAD ANOTHER BAPTISM THIS WEEK! Laura Hood is our ninth baptism this year. We are all so excited about it! We hope that she will continue to be faithful, but unfortunately, she has gone back home to Massachusetts. She has been watching us online for some time because the New England area up north has so few churches of Christ. She was in town visiting family when she saw the baptism last Sunday on our live stream, so she reached out and asked to study baptism. So from Monday to Wednesday, we studied baptism with the three booklets. She was scheduled to go back home on Wednesday. It was a speedy process, but after Lesson 3, she was ready to be baptized. We found a church about 30 minutes from her house where she could attend. I called the preacher over there and told him of the situation, so that she could connect with a church family. This just goes to show that online outreach is important. Since the year has started, we have had baptism from door knocking, community events, social media outreach, and compassion cards. This is why it is so important to keep multiple lines of evangelism open! I scheduled a Bible study just this past week through a blood drive, which is one of the church’s community events that we host. I talked with him, made connections, invited him to services, and he came this Sunday, so I scheduled a Bible study with him. He brought his serious girlfriend with him to church services, and she will be coming too! What a glorious week this has been! The church has three Bible studies this week with five people. We appreciate all prayers!”

Concord church of Christ, New Hampshire (remote): Terry Hale (evangelist) reports, “We are thankful for prayers. We are thankful for our new brother, James. We are prospecting more as our new members are bring us more contacts. Our New Convert class is growing, with training continuing. We had two visitors Sunday; they are top priority now. To God be the glory.”

Oak Forest church of Christ, Goldsboro, North Carolina: Dennis May (elder) reports, “This past week we began three new Bible studies. Two were the result of our compassion card effort. The third was one of our coordinator’s fathers. Please pray that these Bible studies result in three new Christians. This Sunday afternoon, the compassion card group wrote 24 cards. This is the lowest it has ever been. We are encouraging the congregation every Sunday to look at their friends who we can add to the compassion card effort. Pray that they will look closely at those who are their neighbors and need Christ in their lives. This past week we have 15 new movers’ names and addresses in the Goldsboro area. We will be making baskets to take to them as we have them finished. Last month, two of our baskets were not able to be delivered. The others that were delivered were well received. At this point, however, they have yet to visit Oak Forest. We ask for prayers, that God will stir their hearts to visit us and hear about God and see the loving group of people we are and how God can make their lives better.”

East Flushing church of Christ, New York (remote): Clarence Jenkins (preacher) reports, “We had five visitors this past Lord’s Day. After worship service, we put together packets to serve 11O students for our ‘Back to School Drive’ this coming Saturday. Our metrics thus far through and for July are three baptisms and 12 visitors. We appreciate all prayers.”

Oklahoma Panhandle State University, Goodwell, Oklahoma: Raoul Ferris (director of Bible Chair), “Relationship building is my number one priority, including getting into the community and setting up opportunities to connect. I met the assistant director of athletics, and he gave me a tour of the campus, which provided me with an opportunity to gain insight on how to better get into the lives of those on campus. This week I taught Bible class in Sunray, Texas, at the Sunray church of Christ in Spanish, and Alberto came, who works on Tom Moore’s farm, a brother in Christ at Sunray. We met him at lunch with Tom Moore who brought us in order to meet all his workers. Tom showed me his shop and has given me the thumbs-up approval to go to work with his employees so that relationships can be built, and we can have a study. I also met Caesar, another one of Tom’s workers, at a fish fry the congregation held. At Guymon church of Christ, in Guymon, Oklahoma, I was blessed with an opportunity to teach a group of 17 teenagers who are here from Tennessee, assisting with VBS. We emphasized the importance of their training with an organized method of evangelism and an organized method of teaching a new convert. Each one was equipped with God and Man and Back to the Bible. Then brother Chandler Henderson taught them how to use Back to the Bible. Our son, Mickey, assisted in the VBS by leading songs and helping in class; he was also in one of the teaching skits. Alkire Road church of Christ, Grove City, Ohio: Tony Dunnagan (member) reports, “Alkire Road had five visitors this week, and we obtained one contact card. We sent 72 compassion cards, and we made and handed out 26 new movers’ baskets to be delivered. We also have two Bible studies ongoing.”

New Concord church of Christ, Ohio: Terry Townsend (preacher) reports, “We had three visitors on Sunday morning. One couple recently moved into the area from out of state. Compassion cards will be sent, and follow-up visits will be made. A bundle of ‘compassion cards’ is being mailed out this week to all of our guests who attended our family Bible school a couple of weeks ago. Our ‘New Mover’ teams have received their new contacts and should start delivering those baskets in the coming days. Things have slowed significantly over the summer, but with folks back from vacation, we are hoping our evangelistic fervor heats up!”

Marietta church of Christ, Oklahoma (remote): Chase Green (preacher) reports, “We at Marietta are working hard. We are still sending cards to 26 contacts we made at our recent VBS and door knocking. We have had a young family with two children who have been recurring visitors, and we hope to transition them to Bible studies soon. We also had a Zoom call with Rob Whitacre Monday night and reviewed a very good overview of the House to House model of evangelism. I hope our elders will decide to bring Rob in to teach us more in the near future. We have a lot of the pieces of the puzzle already in place, and we look forward to increasing our efforts.”

Barnes church of Christ, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma: John Bellah (evangelist) reports, “On Sunday, we continued to pray for those contacts that are on our bookmarks. We will add two more to our prospect list when we begin sending cards. To date we have sent 410 compassion cards. We feel like things are moving in the right direction and will continue to press on.”

Grove church of Christ, Oklahoma: Juan Jarmillo (preacher) reports, “Yesterday was a very exciting day! One of the people who received our cards visited our worship services yesterday. We were so encouraged to see him there, and we pray that he will keep coming. We had a potluck yesterday, but unfortunately, he did not stay for it. Please continue to pray for our work with the other prospects.

Guymon church of Christ, Oklahoma: Chandler Henderson (evangelist) reports, “This last week my wife and I returned from a very spiritually uplifting time at Polishing the Pulpit in Branson, MO. We came home to one night’s rest before heading to the Amarillo TX airport to pick up 30 members of the Lords church from Winchester TN. Daniel Ross and his youth group, along with five hard working ladies from the Winchester church, made their way to Guymon for a ‘Rural Ministry’ domestic mission trip. They brought all the necessary decorations and Bible study material to help us put on a Vacation Bible School. We had three mornings of door knocking, followed by three afternoons of Vacation Bible School. Overall, we knocked approximately 1100 houses surrounding the building and handed out another 300 invitations at local businesses. We had many kids from the community attend alongside our children, from 4 years old to seniors in high school. We had signup sheets in the foyer for anyone who dropped kids off. On the bottom of the signup sheet we asked, ‘Would you be interested in a personal Bible study?’ and ‘Are you looking for a church home?’ In all we had six couples write that they are interested in a Bible study, and several more that were looking for a church home. We will be hand delivering a portrait of each child, from VBS, to each family this Saturday and will be setting up times for those Bible studies to take place and offering prayers to all those who did not mark ‘yes’ to either question. We also trained 22 of the young adults from Winchester, in four sessions on how to evangelize the lost in their community. We took them through all three books of Back to the Bible and trained them how to use it. They all filled out contact cards and went home with extra copies of Back to the Bible and God and Man to start using as soon as their feet hit the ground. Overall, we look forward to our follow up visits with each family, and pray that we encouraged the group from Winchester in evangelism, as much as they encouraged us in their door knocking campaign and VBS.”

Owasso church of Christ, Oklahoma: David Combs (elder) reports, “On Sunday evening, our card writers met to write 15 cards to be mailed out this week. This week, a Christian family of four placed themselves under the oversight of the elders at Owasso. They cited sound preaching, an active and involved eldership, and the HTHSOE program that we are successfully using as their reasons for choosing Owasso as their home congregation. We are excited to have them working with us.”

St. Andrews Road church of Christ, Columbia, South Carolina: Robert Moore (elder) reports, “Sixty-six compassion cards were written this week. The New Convert’s class continued with three attendees.”

Hillcrest church of Christ, Springfield, Tennessee: Tim Taylor (evangelist) reports, “We had our annual School Supplies and Backpack Giveaway on Saturday. Over 160 filled backpacks were distributed, aiding over 60 underprivileged families. We will create contact cards from their registration forms, targeting those with prayer requests and benevolence requests, and we will follow up with compassion cards. Rachael, one of our members, requested prayers and restoration Sunday morning.”

East Ridge church of Christ, Chattanooga, Tennessee: Charles Cocharan (preacher) reports, “We had a baptism last week! Valerie (on the left of the picture) was baptized. Her friend, Jacqueline Parker (on the right) had been studying with her for several months. She was a member of the Catholic church and saw things from the Scriptures Jacqueline shared with her that contradicted what she had been taught. It was a blessing to be part of this great day for Valerie and her friend Jacqueline. The Gospel still has power to save! Friends teaching friends is a beautiful example of evangelism.”

Cookeville church of Christ, Tennessee: Daniel Burton (member) reports, “This week, we mailed out 30 compassion cards as we continue trying to reach and encourage those in our community. We were also thankful to have one family visit who lives close to the church building. This will be our final week before beginning to visit these families. To help keep a steady list of people to contact, group leaders will begin sending group texts asking members to submit additional prospects for cards, visits, or Bible studies. We have one study that is still progressing.”

Collierville church of Christ, Tennessee: Justin Evergarden (evangelist) reports, “Our year-to-date totals at Collierville now stand at 25 visitors, 610 cards sent, five visits made, 41 prospects, six active Bible studies, and 50 new movers baskets delivered. We are grateful that the prospect list continues to grow and are praying that these contacts will lead to further opportunities to share the Gospel.”

Birdwell Chapel church of Christ, Tennessee: Kerry England (elder) reports, “Saturday was our second Backpack Giveaway. We had 60 backpacks containing school supplies for all ages. Thirty-five backpacks were given away on Saturday morning. We also combined it with a food drive. Most of the visitors were happy to benefit from both offers. Bibles were also available, and several received these as well. We will be following up with compassion cards in the coming weeks before visiting the ones in our community. We became acquainted with a gentleman at one of the winter food drives; he was able to move into an apartment this weekend. We hope to help him with household goods as he settles into his new place. Cards were sent yesterday to all of our visitors at VBS.”

Soddy church of Christ, Soddy Daisy, Tennessee: Joe Mallory (preacher), “We continue our efforts in reaching the lost! This week holds anticipation for continued Bible studies and transition meetings. As many compassion cards go out this week, we pray that the souls we reach will receive our love and concern and, in turn, will desire to study God’s Word. It is such a joy to see many of our new converts beginning to find ways to serve in the church. Many of them have begun to serve in the assembly and think evangelistically, seeking ways to meet the community. We praise God for our growth together as we walk in Christ!”

West Sparta church of Christ, Tennessee: Justin Turney (deacon) reports, “We are moving from our VBS to having a Gospel Meeting next week. We have had lots of ways to evangelize this last month. We do not have any Bible studies right now, but we have added prospects, and we continue to send cards. We hope we will have some Bible studies soon after VBS and our Gospel Meeting.”

Covington church of Christ, Tennessee: Wayne Dalrymple (elder) reports, “We have had a good last few weeks at Covington. Three of our youth have been baptized during that time. We welcome Abby, John Oliver, and Houston to the family of God! These conversions are the result of family members and church family teaching and encouraging them. We have sent several cards to prospects over the last month and are building the connections that will hopefully lead to Bible studies. We continue to have several visitors, including one who came simply because of an invitation from one of our members. She has visited a few times. We will try to take the next step with her as well. Our new preacher, Josh Manning, will begin his work with us this Sunday, August 2. We are very excited to have him and his family as a part of the church here in Covington. We know they will be great assets to the church and will help us to grow both spiritually and numerically.”

White Bluff church of Christ, Tennessee: Shamron Jackson (elder) reports, “On Sunday we had 17 visitors. Three families were taken out to lunch. We added three more Bible studies this week. We will be going out on transition visits this Thursday. We ask for prayers that all goes well, and that we have many workers. We are sending out 120 cards this week. Our VBS finished strong, and we will begin sending cards to some of our VBS visitors this coming Sunday. I have not been given the final count on contacts that we were able to get from that effort yet, but it should be several.”

Freewill church of Christ, Gainesboro, Tennessee (remote): Andrew Scott (preacher) reports, “We had returning visitors yesterday and continue to keep a list of our new prospects. We are close to getting new Bible studies. We now have five studies that are pending. We hosted the Jackson County Fourth Sunday Singing and had a visitor. We give God the glory!”

Chapel Hill church of Christ, Tennessee: Matt Jones (deacon) reports, “We are continuing to work through several prospects who have recently received their last written cards. We hope in the near future to establish Bible studies with a few who have received cards. Each week, we continue to have a good amount of visitors. Isaac has continued to preach sermons that tie in the truth of the Gospel in a way that all can understand. We continue to pray for a couple of studies that are still ongoing.”

Southern Hills church of Christ, Franklin, Tennessee: Fredrick Klein (preacher) reports, “A few things we’re working through right now as we think about reaching people beyond our own walls. First, VBS. This year’s contacts all came from within our own circles rather than the community, and that’s got us asking some honest questions about what VBS is actually accomplishing for outreach. One idea we’re considering is spreading it across several weeks instead of a few straight days, so there’s more time to actually build relationships with families rather than just run an event. We’ll be taking this to the elders. We’re also working on sharpening the purpose behind our website and social media. Right now the lines between them are blurry, and since these platforms are often someone’s first contact with us, we want each one doing something specific rather than all three saying the same thing in different places. And we’re building out a full picture of our ministries — every group and effort we’ve got going — so that when someone’s looking in from outside, or thinking about getting involved, there’s a clear, complete picture of what we’re doing and where they could plug in.”

Mountain Creek church of Christ, Chattanooga, Tennessee: Michael Tomshack (elder) reports, “On Sunday, we had another family who attended Vacation Bible School (VBS) appear at our worship services after we sent them several weeks of cards inviting them to worship with us. The greeters notified other members, and they were warmly welcomed, providing us with an opportunity to further connect with them. We hope to have the opportunity to study with them in the near future. May God give the increase.”

Rivergate church of Christ, Madison, Tennessee: Doug Tooley (preacher) reports, “We had seven visitors on Wednesday night for our summer series. On Sunday morning we had eleven visitors. We had a youth event on Sunday evening, and we had a youth devotional; ten visitors attended the event.
I continued to refresh and offer instruction on the Bible Bookmarks and Contact Cards from the pulpit on Sunday Morning.”

Roanoke church of Christ, Texas: Caleb Rutherford (preacher) reports, “This past weekend marked our first official Sunday with a 1:30 afternoon service. The schedule change was made to help us maximize the time we spend reaching people in the Roanoke community. After our morning worship, we wrote 360 compassion cards, participated in an in-depth Transition Visit training, and then went out to make 18 visits. As a result, two new Bible studies were scheduled, bringing us to a total of 10 ongoing Bible studies. We are grateful for the willingness of our members to embrace this new schedule and are excited to see what God continues to do through these efforts.”

Weslaco church of Christ, Texas:  Brualio Carvajal (preacher) reports, “Ethan McCain was attending Camp Bandina last week and made the decision to be baptized. He attended our New Convert’s class on Sunday morning, which included five other high school-aged new converts. We continue with another New Convert’s class on Thursday evenings as well. There are four ongoing Bible studies. On Sunday, we had four prospects in attendance for our morning services and one visitor in our evening service. This morning, Bridge Avenue church of Christ delivered a wheelchair and crutches to a man who had a recent amputation due to complications with diabetes. He lived in a neighboring city. His contact information was provided to the elders at the nearest Iglesia de Cristo in Edinburg, Texas. On Sunday, we sent out over 150 compassion cards.”

Colleyville church of Christ, Texas: John Garza (evangelist) reports, “Currently, we have two solid souls who were invited by a couple of our elderly members. They met them at a local Chick-fil-A in their area. One has attended multiple evening services already, and last week, we helped her move into her new apartment. She is seeking to transform her life, so these opportunities have given us the optimal ability to begin studies with her soon. We are currently writing multiple cards to them, and working to update our evangelism program even more. Many great works are happening at Colleyville!”

Northern Oaks church of Christ, San Antonio, Texas: Mel Hutzler (elder) reports, “We had VBS this past Saturday with quite a few visitors studying the Fruit of the Spirit. We had a Bible study Sunday with an eager homeless man on his way to Ft. Worth. We continue to study with five individuals along with seven in our New Convert’s class.”

Lake Country church of Christ, Burnet, Texas: Alex Simmons (preacher) reports, “Things have been progressing at Lake Country. Two weeks ago, Keno Shrum was with us for the continued education course. We have already refined some things and are tweaking others based on the information Keno provided, so we are thankful for that. On another note, our prospect list keeps growing as members are getting more and more involved. Currently we have one Bible study taking place, and we are praying there will be fruit from it.”

Bridgewater church of Christ, Katy, Texas: Doug Suggs (deacon) reports, “One of our compassion card teams met and signed a number of cards to be sent out. We have been talking with a couple who have attended our services a few times. We do not have a study yet. Another family of three has attended, and we are trying to get them to study.”

Wheeler church of Christ, Texas: Garrett English (preacher) reports, “My wife and I started Back to the Bible Lesson 2 with the woman asking about baptism. She was accepting of the Lord’s desire for unity in His church, and we look forward to studying with her again this week to complete Lesson 2. Also, I studied with the same young man about baptism again. He is thoughtfully considering the cost and the commitment. We are prayerful for his decision.”

North Jefferson church of Christ, Mount Pleasant, Texas: Davin Whatley (associate minister) reports, “Reach Team 4 met yesterday and wrote 57 cards. We had a visitor yesterday, and one of our visitor teams did a great job of inviting her out to eat (she declined but was open to going to eat later), and we have begun writing her cards. I am thankful to see our visitor teams making improvements in their awareness of visitors and follow-up. Shane and Owen went to Arkansas this week to worship with Aarav and Nirav (recently baptized) at the Mabelvale congregation near Little Rock. Mabelvale was very welcoming, and it sounds like Sunday went well! We are making more transition visits and receiving more positive feedback on the card ministry from recipients. Chelle (a prospect) indicated that she is willing to study!”

Seagoville church of Christ, Texas: Kodie Martin (evangelist) reports, “We had a good day visiting our VBS visitors/New Movers. We passed out five baskets and made contact with several visitors. We will soon begin prospecting these individuals. We are preparing for our upcoming School Supplies Drive, with procuring those supplies this week and working with local schools to ensure we get supplies lists, as well as advertising in advance. We will hopefully meet our yearly prospects goal at that time! We are working 10 prospects at a time. I would say about 75 percent of the 88 prospects this year are from the past few months with visitors/bookmarks. We have worked on about half of them so far.”

Eisenhower church of Christ, Odessa, Texas: Allen Weakland (elder) reports, “Eisenhower congregation started our VBS Monday evening. We had 199 in attendance. One family that attended had visited our Fall Festival the past two years. When we contacted them concerning this year’s VBS, they accepted our invitation and brought their three boys. While the boys attended class, the parents stayed and attended the adult class. When we dismissed the night’s classes, one of our deacons spoke with the couple and thanked them for their presence. The husband expressed that they will be back Tuesday night to attend and they are looking forward to studying more of God’s Word. Beloved, when God’s Word is taught, it will not come back void. God is so good.”

Williamsburg church of Christ, Virginia: Jim Bishop (elder) reports, “This week God blessed us with one local visitor at Wednesday evening Bible study, one local visitor attended the Sunday morning worship, and three local visitors attended the afternoon worship service. An important information source is our website. Each mentioned reviewing the website prior to the visit. Our outreach efforts continue with the distribution of bag lunches, the reading assistance program, and preparation for the backpack distribution with school supplies.”

West Side church of Christ, Salem, Virginia: Jeff Durham (elder) reports, “Our School Backpack and Food Box Giveaway went great this weekend. On Friday night, 25 members came to put the supplies in the backpacks and write an encouraging note to each student. We then had separate prayers for the students, parents, and the teachers/staff. On Saturday, our youth group took the lead, greeting people and handing out the backpacks and food boxes. They are always eager to find ways to be of service every way possible. We handed out 52 backpacks and 25 food boxes. We have extra backpacks that we will take to local elementary schools.”
