Featured Congregation: Seagoville church of Christ, TXEditor’s Note: Congregations that struggle and even fail often struggle with contacts and prospects. We emphasize these two steps throughout the training process. The online curriculum is robust with resources, videos, tools, and action points. When congregations trust the process, they succeed. Listen to Kodie Martin’s words to understand how the process works for them. Overflowing with Contacts The first two steps in the HTHSOE model are contacts and prospects. We have been working hard to train our members on how to make contacts. This started from referrals using the bookmark. We have received three more prospects from members turning in contact cards. This year, we focused on making contacts at our Trunk-or-Treat. Our members turned 12 of these contacts into prospects. These are the ones who asked for prayers and/or cards, so we will begin prospecting them in the near future. We have been blessed with a good number of visitors. Jorgina and Melissa are two recent examples who came through invitations from church members. This again shows the importance of relationships and invitations to services. This past Sunday, we trained our door and pew greeters how to greet visitors, invite them to eat, and get contact card information. These methods have been cost-effective and extremely fruitful. Everybody is on board, and this next Sunday, we hope to practice what we have learned. We have used simple, targeted advertising on Facebook, which made our last few events explode with visitors. All this goes to show that simple invites, handing out cards, and digital advertising can be incredibly fruitful for increasing the number of visitors, and we have been blessed with more contacts/prospects than we can work at one time. Congregational ReportsWelcome, St. Andrews Road church of Christ, South Carolina: We welcome the St. Andrews Road church of Christ to the House to House/Heart to Heart School of Evangelism. This is a strong congregation that serves as a bright light for the state. The elders and the preachers are skilled leaders and teachers who are strong in faith. Pray for them as they organize and implement the HTHSOE model. Hatton church of Christ, Alabama: Chris Miller (preacher) reports, “We continue to have great results and participation. We also had another baptism this past week on a job site. Cynthia Forsythe expressed that she believed in Christ but had never been baptized. We were able to study with her on her back porch and then baptized her in her new pool. We are also working with a number of new movers and first-time visitors.” West Huntsville church of Christ, Huntsville, Alabama: Paul Owen (associate preacher): “Our new preacher is a huge help to us, and our evangelism efforts are going well. We had another baptism, Hunter Trewin. He was a visitor who said he had never met such loving and friendly people!” Fayette church of Christ, Alabama: Josh Taylor (deacon) reports, “Our congregation is making great progress in preparation for our food drive. It will be this coming Saturday. With the recent government shutdown, we expect several visitors, and our goal is to focus on Bible studies. Please pray for our success as we head up for this annual year-end event for our congregation.” Central church of Christ, Saraland, Alabama: David Dixon (preacher) reports, “We have one Bible study ongoing, with another about to begin. We are having a Thanksgiving meal in two weeks, which we always use to invite contacts. We pray that we will have some interest in feeding their souls as well. Things continue to be steady. Not a day goes by without an opportunity presenting itself. If we let God’s will be our main concern, we will find that evangelism takes care of itself.” Petersville church of Christ, Florence, Alabama: Adam Richardson (preacher) reports, “The Petersville church family continues to send compassion cards, and 25 went out this past week. The Bible study for today was postponed, but we will follow up! There is another study set this Wednesday for an energetic couple who have very unique spiritual backgrounds. They are enthusiastic, and I have no doubt that when they see the scriptures, they will obey. We plan to set up the coordinators’ meeting for after Thanksgiving, and we will renew commitments as we look to the New Year. Evangelism is on the elders’ minds as they greet the congregation every Sunday morning before worship; they are setting a good example. Finally, there is a family that has been absent off and on for over a year. The husband has been back for several months, but his wife continues to struggle and has only been present once many months ago. She attended services with her entire family yesterday, and we have encouraged her to continue. Pray she will be touched by her reception at worship!” Creekwood church of Christ, Mobile, Alabama: Tucker Presley (preacher) reports, “We currently have one Bible study ongoing. Another one is being set up this week. Cards are still being written every week. Soon, we will make visits to contacts who came to our Trunk or Treat event. We hope to set up Bible studies or at least begin a discussion about the Lord.” Cedar Grove church of Christ, Andalusia, Alabama: Josh Holloway (preacher) reports, “We still have ongoing studies with Nena, Terry, Michael, Randy, Matt, Lontae, Casheria, and Shelia. A man named Mike has also agreed to start studying with us in the future. This week, while we made transition visits, another couple (Donnie and Joyce) agreed to start having weekly Bible studies starting next Saturday. We were able to make several productive visits this week. We are looking forward to another congregational door-knocking event scheduled for November 22. We are also cooking and delivering breakfast to all of our first responders on Thanksgiving morning. We are looking for ways to adapt that outreach to make contacts. We may have our benevolence material available and try to offer a prayer.” Mountain Home church of Christ, Arkansas: Joshua Adams (preacher) reports, “It has been a wonderful week at the Mountain Home Church of Christ. Over the weekend, our teens went on their annual Fall Retreat and were encouraged, learning about what it means to be united to “One Another.” We also have our follow-up Men’s Breakfast scheduled for this coming Saturday. We plan to discuss our ongoing evangelistic efforts, our conversation from the Men’s Retreat, and our focus for next year. As far as evangelistic opportunities, we have been blessed with many opportunities to reach out to those eager to learn more about the Gospel. Several new families and couples have expressed a desire to begin Bible studies, and others are planning to place membership with our congregation. Our New Movers baskets continue to make a great impact—each one was received with surprise and heartfelt gratitude by those new to our community. We currently have multiple Bible studies underway and several more scheduled to begin soon, once a few individuals recover from surgery or return from being out of town. Our Compassion Card Ministry is also thriving! Just last night, 29 members stayed after services to sign 165 cards of encouragement and care. It is truly a joy to see the congregation working together in love and service to glorify God.” Margarett Street church of Christ, Milton, Florida: Troy Spradlin (preacher) reports, “It has now been just over a year since we began implementing the School of Evangelism Model. As the preacher, I can see a good deal of change that has taken place among our members. A good number of brethren are now far more evangelistically minded than they were a year ago. Even among those who are not yet involved seem to have the general attitude of accepting more of our efforts. I have seen many good brethren consistently participate in writing Compassion Cards, greeting visitors, preparing welcome gifts, going on visits, and most importantly, setting up Bible studies! Of course, the most wonderful part of all is that 19 souls have been redeemed to our Lord! It feels like it has been a slow process, but when we look back, we can see how far we have come. It is a reminder that we can still grow and do more in trying to save the lost. Our current 2025 Year-to-Date Accountability Board numbers are: 311 Total Contacts received; 83 Total Visitors; 266 Neighbors (Prospects whom we have loved and/or studied with); 77 Bible studies (total completed); 2316 Compassion Cards sent; two Restorations, and 17 Baptisms.” Stuart church of Christ, Florida: Tom Neth (deacon) reports, “Enthusiasm amongst the congregation remains high as we continue to implement the plan. We received seminar surveys from over 70 percent of attendees. This week, we set up the evangelism table (picture attached) and hosted a friends and family day barbecue on Saturday. We had three visitors on Sunday, and are starting our first Bible study this week.” Niceville church of Christ, Florida: Joe Palmer (preacher) reports, “Only one thing is more exciting than seeing a soul obey the Gospel on the Lord’s Day, and that is seeing two souls obey the gospel. Steve Martin, a member of our church, has been encouraging a couple to be baptized for the past month. They were very serious about it, but health issues had stood in the way. This weekend, Steve told his friends that he was ready and wanted to be baptized on Sunday. I was overjoyed, but I always want to make sure people understand what baptism is and what it does. On Saturday, I got a chance to study with Walter and Sharon. Walter is very ill and is waiting to go to MD Anderson for stage four cancer. I needed to get the study in during one visit, so I used a survey of being saved only in the blood of Jesus. Walter and Sharon understood. It is very effective in connecting the blood of Jesus to the gospel and baptism. After the study, they were ready. Walter said he wanted to start his life over in Jesus. If not for his weakness, we would have gone right then. On Sunday, they came, and they were ready. Sharon was baptized first and came out of the waters with tears flowing down her face. Walter was next. After the baptism, I led the congregation in prayer for Walter. He walked up the stairs and embraced his wife, overjoyed that they had been saved. Walter and Sharon brought their adult son Steve, and he brought a mutual friend of the family. On Sunday, we had four visitors. We had two studies, and baptized two souls into Christ.” Lafayette church of Christ, Georgia: Jesse Teague (deacon) reports, “We have been busy in October and starting in November. Several of our members worked at ‘Scare on the Square,” a community event that gives access to thousands of souls. They handed out “goodie bags” with tracts and literature about the church and the gospel plan of salvation. (Of course, there may have been a little candy in the bags as well.) Our ladies’ Welcome Committee had our quarterly meal for new members after worship on Sunday; it was a great way to introduce new members to the leaders in the church. The elders, preacher, and deacons attended as well as the welcome committee members. We introduced everyone, and had ice-breaker questions for all in attendance, just to get to know each other better. We also discussed all the ‘normal’ church events like Gospel Meetings, VBS, door-knocking, community events, picnics, and youth and family outings. What a great work that our ladies do! Another thing we have added over the last year is a ‘bus route.’ One of our members provides a bus, and we pick up community members who do not have a ride and some older members who do not like to drive at night. Last, and best, we had a new member added to the Lord’s church last Sunday. Landon is the son in one of our families; he made the good decision to obey the gospel. We are so proud of him—and he made it just in time to participate in our new member meal yesterday!” Warner Robins church of Christ, Georgia: Damien Walker (evangelist) reports, “We continue to feel out the 6-step model, and we are working on assigning coordinators to a few vital roles to make sure our foundation is right. We want to be effective at creating contacts, so we are beginning to use our prospect bookmarks. We want to make sure our visitors are accounted for, so we are working toward equipping our greeters. We are rethinking our compassion card method to be more aligned with the model. Implementing these things feels slow, but we know it takes time to change a culture. I was out this Sunday, but I heard that we had quite a few visitors. We have hired a new evangelist as well, and we are excited for him to begin working with us early next year. The future looks bright at Warner Robins!” Cartersville church of Christ, Georgia (remote): Charles Harris (regional trainer) reports, “We are prospecting several contacts from our recent door knockings. We are currently training more members to make transition visits.” Edgewood church of Christ, Columbus, Georgia: Mitchell Deering (deacon) reports, “We mailed 34 compassion cards this week, bringing our November total to 66 cards. We had four visitors yesterday, adding new opportunities for follow-up and potential studies. Our 14 active Bible studies continue to progress steadily. The follow-up team remains committed to reaching new visitors quickly and maintaining consistent contact with prospects and card recipients.” Woodstock church of Christ, Georgia: Matt Amos (preacher) reports, “WCOC and the Sunabella Assistant Living Facility had approximately nine non-Christians at the devotional on Sunday. The Prison Ministry Group conducted Bible studies with twelve students in the Youth Detention Center. Five of those students have expressed their desire to be baptized. Coordination is underway to obtain authorization from the Youth Detention Center and their parents. The Compassion Card Group created and sent six cards. WCOC had thirteen non-Christian visitors this past Sunday morning worship. We had a total of sixteen Bible studies.” Judah church of Christ, Indiana: Joe Moon (preacher) reports, “Three different families visited with us this week. A total of 13 of us participated in the visits. One of the couples visited has been regular visitors to worship. They agreed to a Bible study, but we did not set a time specifically. They work third shift and lots of overtime. Overall, involvement is very high.” Highland Village church of Christ, Indiana: Mark Stauffer (member) reports, “Highland Village church of Christ reports that in the first week of November, we made two visits and sent 18 compassion cards. We have a new Bible study scheduled to begin this evening, and we hope to transition two more prospects into studies this week. We request prayers for our congregation. One of our two elders has stepped down from the office because he is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. We do not currently have men qualified to take his place, so we will be functioning without elders until qualified men are available. Please pray that the congregation will remain firm in God’s word, that we will continue to seek and save the lost, and that our eldership will be quickly restored.” Collinsville-Troy church of Christ, Illinois: Jason Wright (elder) reports, “What a week it has been! We baptized Tim into Christ on Sunday after he had attended here with his two young daughters for over two years. We baptized his mother a few weeks ago. We also baptized two of our young ladies who have grown up here. We mailed 80 compassion cards and handed out a visitor’s basket to a young couple who saw our information online and decided to visit. They loved it and said they would return. We mailed out 132 follow-up cards to contacts who are interested in kids’ and women’s activities. We delivered NM baskets on Friday evening. We conducted two Bible studies. One was with a lady who attended our grocery giveaway. We are starting slowly with her about how to read and study the Bible and how to find books and verses and books. We want her to understand a very basic study before we get into the booklets. We continue to have a steady flow of people from the community attending our clothing closet. What a year it has been. To God be the glory!” Lincoln Way church of Christ, Columbia City, Indiana: Drew Reece (preacher) reports, “We are still working through the curriculum, and I believe we are seeing a cultural change where we are thinking evangelistically. We have a few transition visits to make this week and are working on creating new contacts as well as continuing Bible studies!” Columbus church of Christ, Kansas: Matt Fowler (member) reports, “My wife Beth and her mother completed Back to the Bible Book 3 with Resa, who is a co-worker and a member of the Christian church. She did not see the need to be converted but has agreed to study further, and I plan to be involved in the study. We will be going through the book of Acts together. Please pray that she may see the error as she continues to be confronted by the truth. We are praying for open doors for three other Bible studies that have started but have been paused recently due to scheduling conflicts. We had a repeat visitor, Mark, on Sunday. He has come a few times but is timid and not comfortable with doing a study at this point, though he has said he would not mind a visit at home. We wrote compassion cards for four prospects this week and are praying that they encourage and provide opportunity moving forward. We appreciate prayers for our efforts as we also pray for all efforts to spread the Gospel.” Beloit church of Christ, Kansas (remote): Dustin Dougherty (regional trainer) reports, “We had 35 in attendance yesterday, with one return visitor. Later this week, I hope to see the man who accepted a copy of Muscle and a Shovel so I can check on his progress. Our newest family has been diligent in attendance for both Sunday morning and midweek studies. It is great to see them. I am teaching the material originally intended for college and young adult study to the regular adult class on Wednesday, and they are enjoying it. I continue to advertise and promote the college and young adult study, praying we will be able to reach many in the area with the class offering. We have filled a couple of laundry baskets with gifts for new movers this month. We hope to deliver the baskets to the new contacts in the area. To God be the glory.” Spring Creek church of Christ, Hickory, Kentucky: John West (member) reports, “As far as I know, there have not been any Bible studies yet, but a few members have taken the BTTB booklets because they plan to set up studies soon. We have 12 prospects. We will start congregational classes Sunday evening, November 16. Yesterday, Samuel had a two-part lesson in the morning and evening on the parables of the sower and the mustard seed. At the end of the morning service, Scott encouraged the congregation about the importance of participation. At that time, we distributed the Post Seminar Surveys, and the members completed them and returned them before they left. We have been through the boxes of materials that were left and organized them. We have purchased shoe organizers for the compassion cards and will get them up with the cards this week.” Flatwoods church of Christ, Kentucky: Nathan Adkins (elder) reports, “This Sunday, we had two families return that came last Sunday. We prepared 12 cards yesterday to be sent. That is much less than we would normally send. Our attendance was down, and the weather was nasty on Sunday night; a small team showed up to write cards. For the Sunday morning Bible class, we addressed the need to make the transition from prospecting to setting up Bible studies. This is a big challenge. We definitely need training on the transition questions that lead to setting up a study. Keno will train us further on this when he comes back for Continued Education training in a few months. There is one ongoing Bible study moving forward. Several members made follow up visits with those who have received our cards. So far, all of these people have been very receptive when visited, except one lady, who was very upset about getting compassion cards. I did my best to reassure our sister, who conducted the follow-up visit, that this person is an outlier and that these folks were not reachable at this time. We appreciate all prayers as we push forward with training our congregation and stay encouraged!” Central church of Christ, Paducah, Kentucky: Adam Faughn (preacher) reports, “On Wednesday morning, we received a call that Julia Richardson wanted to be baptized. Julia’s boyfriend, Cam, was baptized some time back, but she had only started a ‘formal’ Bible study recently. At least, that is what we knew. What we did not know was that she was studying with Cam and one of our families in private. She even came to worship a couple of times in recent weeks when they were out of town, which encouraged us. Also, on Wednesday she knew what she needed to do and was immersed in Christ. It was a joy to see her so happy with her decision. We continue to have a couple of other studies; I failed to mention a study in last week’s report that one of our ladies is having with Amanda, and I am continuing premarital counseling this week with Sam and Emma (he is not a Christian), which we hope will open his eyes to more studies as time goes along. We are excited to see what God is doing through the power of His Word!” Gonzales church of Christ, Louisiana: Patrick Adkins (deacon) reports, “On Sunday, we had three visitors, we made five visits, and we delivered eight spaghetti baskets to new movers. We signed cards, increasing the number to 112 for November. We have five ongoing studies and six prospects.” La Plata church of Christ, Maryland (remote): Eric Sykes (regional trainer) reports, “We are working hard to get the members at both the La Plata and Waldorf congregations registered for the American Missions Campaign in March 2026. We wrote 18 compassion cards, we had four visitors, and we have five open Bible studies. One of the visitors asked if we could stop by and share a meal with their family next week. We said yes; we are praying we can visit with them this coming Sunday. Our advanced teacher training class, which meets on Tuesday evening, completed Lesson 2 of the Advanced Evangelism Seminar: ‘Is it my fault if they do not obey the gospel?’ The answer, they found, is NO! It is not their fault! The class was great—very uplifting and encouraging. Please keep us lifted up in prayer as we strive to strengthen the family, increase our faith, and bring souls to Christ by sharing the gospel with our community here in La Plata.” Aberdeen church of Christ, Mississippi: Jonathan Hagar (preacher) reports, “We had to postpone my Bible studies and our card writing Sunday until next week. With a lot of sickness in our congregation, and our coordinators, including myself, needed a break. However, this past Sunday, we had a great number with three new visitors and one return visitor. We were excited to see them. We gave the visitors new member packets. Our new converts class is going strong. We have had many baptized who have stayed consistent in their attendance with the new class. This week will have transition visits, so we appreciate prayers for our efforts. I had two people from surrounding churches call me this past week to ask about our card-writing ministry. When people visit and see our accountability board, they get curious and start asking questions. They see the church’s growth and want to know more. It is encouraging to the members to have other congregations ask what we are doing right! I have two Bible studies set for this week. Others in the church have two Bible studies as well.” Iuka church of Christ, Mississippi: Sam Glover (preacher) reports, “Our turnout has been good at public events such as our fish fry and trunk or treat, and we have sent out a total of eight sets of cards over the last two weeks. I have a follow-up visit this week to meet a new mover we were not able to contact last week, and I appreciate prayers for that effort.” Concord church of Christ, New Hampshire: Shane Beleger (member) reports, “The church is currently involved in 2 ongoing studies. Justin: The goal is to finish the remaining B2B lesson 3. Crystal: We have completed all three lessons with Crystal, and she wants to be baptized this week. We are hopeful that she will be baptized this Wednesday. Darrik- the goal is to begin the Back to the Bible lesson series with Darrik. Wendy- The church continues to study with Wendy every Sunday following worship services. Visitors/prospects: The church had one visitor last Wednesday, and he has continued to attend since then. We are very hopeful that he will begin a B2B lesson soon. Training: The church plans to study the Baptist denomination in the weeks to come. East Flushing church of Christ, New York (remote): Clarence Jenkins (preacher) reports, “Shanel was studying diligently the word of God with sister Crystal, her aunt. They used Back to the Bible series. Then she began coming consistently to Sunday Bible classes and worship services with her children, Coreiah and Chance. Shanel listened and observed very attentively. To God be the glory, she is now sister Shanel, by the grace of God, since she obeyed the gospel of Christ Sunday morning at 11:09. The angels of heaven are rejoicing! Her precious soul is part of the spiritual family of God! Praise God. We had one visitor this Sunday, after the worship service. We watched the video “In the Footsteps of Jesus.” Our metrics thus far for and through the month of November are eight baptisms, six visitors, 27 prospects, 11 Bible studies, and two for our new converts’ study. We appreciate all prayers.” Oak Forest church of Christ, Goldsboro, North Carolina: Dennis Mays (elder) reports, “We had six visitors Sunday. On Sunday night we began the first training for the congregation (‘Making it Operational’) and passed out the contract cards. Next Sunday, we will have Lennie preach on the first series of John 4. The Elders are meeting with the ladies who will be organizing the compassion cards on Tuesday, so we get this in the works. Last Thursday, the elders met, and I passed to each one a copy of the results of the post-evangelism questionnaire. The questionnaire indicated which of the 24 areas that our members had indicated for involvement. We are going to start reviewing these and putting together some of our ideas who might be a good fit to put in charge of some of the areas we need. From here on out, we are likely to have the Elders lead the Sunday evening training sessions. We also set up our table in the foyer with the evangelism materials on it.” Glendale Street church of Christ, Newton, North Carolina (remote): Dayle Taylor (minister) reports, “This week we resumed Bible Study session in Back to the Bible with Lance and Mary, while Sister Denise started Back to the Bible with Dana. Both studies occurred on Sunday morning, and each is a returning visitor. Of the three new visitors was from last Sunday, November 2. Today a couple requested Bible studies, so Denise and I are scheduled it to begin Saturday, November 15, at our home. We continue to prospect two other returning visitors. Four erring members (all of one family) attended today, seeking the prayers of the church. Contact Cards were filled out to begin prospecting for restoration. Training and discussions continued on Wednesday night using the ‘Reaching the Lost’ videos. We also mailed Compassion Cards to eight individuals.” Concord church of Christ, New Concord, Ohio: Terry Townsend (preacher) reports, “We had several first-time visitors in our assembly on Sunday. One lady is a friend of one of our members. She, her husband, and their family are members of a congregation in town but have not attended for years. Cards and follow-up visits will be made with them, as well as with all others who visited on Sunday. Our compassion card team was back this week with five contacts; 50 cards were filled out and will be mailed, with an additional 50 next week). One new Bible study has begun with a lady who is a shut-in. Our annual Community Thanksgiving Day Meal in a couple of weeks should result in several new contacts (more information on that to come).” Alkire Road church of Christ, Grove City, Ohio: Tony Dunnagan (member) reports, “We had 12 visitors, and our members submitted five contact cards. There are no Bible studies in progress as the one that was set up was canceled. We are reaching out to approximately 20 ‘hot’ prospects. We delivered 15 new movers and will start sending them compassion cards. I will update the number of compassion cards sent soon.” Coweta church of Christ, Oklahoma: Houston Shrum (associate preacher) reports, “We are continuing to write Compassion Cards and schedule follow-up visits. We are also getting ready for some Continuing Education training sessions in December. Next Friday, Keno and Patrick will continue the Bible Study with Evan. She has not missed a service in the past month and seems to be really receptive. We appreciate prayers for this study.” Owasso church of Christ, Oklahoma: David Combs (elders) reports, “We have one new prospect and had two new visitors. We wrote 31 cards this past week. We have two prospects on Week 1. Last Sunday morning, we passed out invite cards in groups of ten to every member, as we do each first Sunday of the month. We have had good results using them as ice breakers or conversation starters, as well as passing them out when we receive a service.” York church of Christ, Pennsylvania: Mark Rashke (deacon) reports, “This week in York, we sent cards to Aiden and Matt. Aiden was baptized in September but has not attended for the last few Sundays. Text messages and phone calls have not been returned recently, so we have a visit planned for this week as well. Matt was baptized this week, so we want to make sure that we are giving him proper support and encouragement. I have included photos from Matt’s baptism.” Union church of Christ, South Carolina (remote): Kent Thompson (member) reports, “We have two prospects, and we are working on them right now. We had one in the new convert class. We had two visitors Sunday; we will try to visit with them if we can; we are still trying.” Colleyville church of Christ, Texas: John Garza (regional trainer) reports, “Currently, at the Colleyville congregation. We have five Bible studies taking place. One of the students should be baptized soon, with another following in the next week or two. We are reaching out to four prospects. All things are going great!” Rome church of Christ, Lebanon, Tennessee: David Oxley reports, “We met this week for our advanced class. We are sending cards this week to 1 prospect and planning three visits. We have 3 Bible studies planned. We will also meet for our new converts class on Monday.” Blackman church of Christ, Murfreesboro, Tennessee: Brian McCord reports, “We sent out around 20 cards last week. We have tried doing transition visits, but no one has been home. We will keep trying. We still have one study agreed to, but they haven’t let us schedule a time yet.” West Fayetteville church of Christ, Tennessee: Steve Jefferson (elder) reports, “Good morning from the West Fayetteville congregation. We have completed our ‘Dealing with Grief’ seminar with Jeff Jenkins. It was well received by our members and visitors. We are also looking forward to our continued with Keno Shrum on November 11-13. He will be giving us a refresher course to better prepare and implement the curriculum. This past week, we sent a total of 24 cards to four contacts.” Stewarts Creek church of Christ, Smyrna, Tennessee: Caleb Wisterman (member) reports, “Last week, we hosted our first Fall Family Festival, and we had a fantastic turnout by the local community as well as with our members. We utilized Facebook to promote the event, as well as fliers and personal invitations. We had 20 different families that came who were not members of the church. Our members who were stationed throughout the event did a great job mingling and connecting with those in attendance. Immediately on the next morning, we had several in attendance in church! We have started sending out thank-you cards to all who attended as well. Separately, we have two members we have started sending compassion cards to those who have strayed from coming to services, and we are planning visits to see them. We have several other prospects whom we will visit, and we have sent out over 500 cards. We had an ongoing Bible study, but it has recently stalled—we believe they know they need to be baptized but are worried about how their family might react. We appreciate all the prayers for our efforts!” White Bluff church of Christ, Tennessee: Shamron Jackson (elder) reports, “We have six Bible studies continuing this week; we request prayers for open minds. We mailed 27 cards out to ten prospects last week; we request prayers for those who receive them as well. Group 2 met this week and 23 cards were prepared to send to eight wayward and two visitors. Please pray that we can encourage these to come back to the Lord. We are working towards a follow-up in a couple of weeks. We had ten visitors and three families that went to lunch. One family is currently a member of the church and is looking for a church home. We also completed training on prodigals and are staying on track with training.” Freewill church of Christ, Gainesboro, Tennessee (remote): Andrew Scott (preacher) reports, “We rejoice with Ms. Loretta Judd (pictured right with her sister Ms. Doice) as she responded to the Lord’s invitation tonight. She had doubts about her baptism at a young age and wanted to make her calling and election sure. She told me every time I say from the pulpit to ‘make sure you have been baptized correctly, the way the Bible says,’ it hits her right in the heart. We thank God for her decision! We also had new visitors at services, and we continue to send cards weekly. We have follow-ups scheduled. We are getting ready for our upcoming Gospel Meeting that will take place November 21-23, with Brandon Blackwell. We have used our House to House to advertise and continue to mail out flyers. Last night after services, we stopped at the local gas station to put up a flyer. One of the employees there showed interest in the meeting and said she and her husband have been looking for a new church home. What an opportunity! I gave her a copy of House to House and all of our contact information.” Cookeville church of Christ, Tennessee: Joshua Kennedy (preacher) reports, “We have good news since our last update. We had a baptism last Friday. We have a possible study this week. We are also sending compassion cards out to one individual, and we are going to have our door-knocking class this Saturday!” Ocoee Street church of Christ, Copperhill, Tennessee: R.E. Vann (elder) reports, “We continue to be blessed with many visitors during our Sunday morning assembly. Two new local visitors received a warm welcome this week. Contact information was easily obtained from our pew greeters, and compassion cards will follow. Our two ongoing Bible studies completed Lesson 3 (BTTB); however, both are convinced they were saved before their baptism. But the word of God is quick and powerful, and it is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Never close a study; we will just move on to another study. We appreciate all prayers just as we pray as well.” West Sparta church of Christ, Tennessee: Justin Turney (deacon) reports, “We are moving forward well with the program. We have one new Bible study last week from our prospect list! We were excited for that. We did the sermon on the evangelism table last night, and we are going to get that put out this week!” Grundy Street church of Christ, Tullahoma, Tennessee: John Summers (preacher) reports, “We had 18 visitors this past week, which is very exciting. We currently have 10 souls on our prospect list. We continue to work and pray.” Arlington church of Christ, Tennessee: Brandon Tibbits (preacher) reports, “We are currently working through our 25 prospects from the campaign and working on our two ongoing Bible studies. We are excited about the work, and it will likely take us a while to get through our current prospect list!” Chapel Hill church of Christ, Tennessee: Matt Jones (deacon) reports, “We continue to have multiple different Bible studies by several different members. This past Wednesday, we had another baptism. We have a couple of ladies who are heading up a community clothing/toy giveaway in the first part of December. We look forward to making some new contacts during this activity as well. Our new mover baskets have been going out on a regular basis as well. Overall, things are going well.” Mountain Creek church of Christ, Chattanooga, Tennessee: Michael Tomshack (elder) reports, “Once again, one of our newer male converts invited another close friend and his wife to attend the worship assembly. They arrived on Sunday. Our greeters met them at the door, and our pew greeters engaged them, providing them with a welcome bag and collecting their contact information. Members also greeted them both before the assembly and continued to do so afterward. Visitor cards will be sent today, expressing our gratitude for their attendance and encouraging them to return. We pray for opportunities to engage in study with this new young married couple.” McEwen church of Christ, Tennessee: John Jones (preacher) reports, “Good morning. We will finish the booklet studies with the linemen today, Lord willing. Our hope is to have some baptisms this evening. We request prayers for that. We continue our new mover program but have yet to have any visitors from our new movers’ baskets and cards.” Collierville church of Christ, Tennessee: Justin Evergarden (evangelist) reports, “We have now mailed a total of 628 cards this year! The congregation’s efforts continue to bear fruit—we have already had five baptisms in 2025, and several more good conversations are ongoing. Member involvement remains strong. We have seen consistent participation across all outreach areas, from card writing to visits and the new movers program. Our New Movers Baskets are ready for delivery this week, and we have just implemented a numbered tracking system to help us stay organized and record follow-up responses more efficiently. We are also planning several community outreach events for early next year to help us connect with new families in the area. Over the next week or two, we are scheduling three follow-up visits with prospects who have shown interest or responded positively in recent weeks. During this week’s evangelism training, we shared a short lesson on the ‘Domino Effect’—how one simple act can set off a chain reaction that reaches farther than we realize. It was a great reminder that each card, visit, and conversation plays a part in something much bigger that God is building. The work here continues to move forward, and the congregation’s willingness to labor together in love is a tremendous encouragement. We are grateful for the steady growth we are seeing—both spiritually and numerically —and we are thankful for all the continued support and guidance as we seek to save the lost.” Soddy church of Christ, Tennessee: Joe Mallory (preacher) reports, “We rejoice with our new sister in Christ, Betty May Mallory, as she decided to put her Lord on in baptism this past Sunday morning in gospel obedience (Galatians 3:27)! We are extremely blessed with the efforts of each care team as they write compassion cards week after week to those on our prospective list. We continue to reach out to those we have contacted, and we are focusing on transitioning prospects to Bible studies. This week, our care team two wrote 28 cards to be mailed. It is such a blessing to work and labor in the kingdom of Christ, seeking souls to bring to the water of life!” Hillcrest church of Christ, Springfield, Tennessee: Tim Taylor (evangelist) reports, “We are excited that Amanda has made the decision to work and worship with us at Hillcrest, after recently moving into the Greenbrier community. Additionally, we have two ongoing Bible studies that we pray will bear fruit. We are continuing with compassion cards for our recent Trunk or Treat prospects.” Birdwell Chapel church of Christ, Cottontown, Tennessee: Kerry England (elder) reports, “On Sunday evening, our guest speaker delivered a lesson entitled ‘Are You a Disciple of Jesus?” He made the point that we have to be disciples before we can lead others to Christ. There was a luncheon for the widows on Sunday after morning worship to honor and appreciate these sweet sisters. We had a recently baptized brother join our new converts class. Some good young mentors are participating who will be a blessing to the new converts. A couple of Bible studies continue.” Rivergate Church of Christ, Madison, Tennessee: Doug Tooley (preacher) reports, “We had three visitors on Wednesday, five on Sunday morning, and one on Sunday night. Two children who live near the church have been back for the last couple of services. Two visits were made last week. Sellers Crain told me that there are four other girls at the academy Sue’s group is studying with who are close to baptism. It was delayed by some issues that came up. We also have one very young man interested in baptism, and the study is ongoing. We have a family whose newborn grandchild was premature. He needs lots of prayers. The grandparents are new Christians, and we are prayerful the mother is going to start attending with us.” Wheeler church of Christ, Texas: Garrett English (preacher) reports, “I have a continued study with a young man today, whom I hope will consider baptism soon. I have a study tomorrow afternoon with a lady who had brought me materials on the Psalms about a month back. I plan to ask her questions from Book 1 and get into that study, if she is willing.” Roanoke church of Christ, Texas: Caleb Rutherford (preacher) reports, “Group 3 wrote to five prospects last night. All of our studies are continuing to progress well. Mya is so close to being baptized! I pray she will obey the Gospel this week. Studies with Veronica, Brianna, Nick and Melissa, and also Rachel continue. We had our yearly, all-day planning meeting with our EDP group this past weekend. A major focus was on planning and looking ahead to AMC. I am working on finalizing all of my coordinators, specific to the week of AMC. We are excited for next year and look forward to having so many brethren help us work in the Kingdom!” Bridge Avenue church of Christ, Weslaco, Texas: Braulio Carvajal III (preacher) reports, “We continue to be blessed by the Lord. Last week on Monday, Braulio Navarro and Ivana Lopez were baptized. Ivana completed Back to the Bible about a month ago and made the decision last week to be baptized. Braulio has been visiting with us now for about a year and has made his decision to be baptized as well. Both will begin new discipleship Bible studies this week. This week, we had a total of eight prospects join us for worship or Bible study, along with 12 visitors. Contact cards were completed, and we will be sending out cards this week. We have four ongoing Bible studies. We have also recruited silent partners to sit in two of those studies. All has been going well, but we still work to do.” North Jefferson church of Christ, Mt. Pleasant, Texas: Davin Whatley (evangelist) reports, “Reach Team 4 met Sunday and wrote Compassion Cards. We added four new names to our Compassion Card List to begin prospecting. We currently have two ongoing Bible studies. This past week, two transition visits were made: 1) We went out to eat with our cleaning ladies, Barbara and Mary, and they agreed to a Bible study in one of our members’ homes. We had prospected Barbara, and an effort was made to get a Bible study with just her. However, she also prefers to have Mary, her coworker and friend, around. Therefore, we are going to study with them both. 2) We went out to eat with Howard and Beth, the parents of one of our members, and they said the holiday season is busy for them, but they would like to do a Bible study in January! Howard commutes more than an hour to work, so Saturdays are the only day that really works for him.” Southwest church of Christ, Austin, Texas: Bryce Mayfield (evangelist) reports, “We would like to report the best kind of news—a baptism! Liz has been visiting for several months now. Growing up in the Church, she knew the scriptures but never decided to be baptized for the remission of her sins. She had fallen away from the church and was burdened (like us all) by her sins. This all changed when she heard preaching from Revelation 21. After considering verse 8, Liz decided to ask our pulpit preacher some questions about her own salvation. She had gone to several denominations, asking to be baptized before returning to the church of Christ. These denominations tried to set up these baptisms for weeks later, but she did not understand why. After Ross studied with her, making sure she understood what she needed to do, she made the decision to be baptized, allowing Christ’s blood to wash her sins away! We rejoice with Heaven and are excited to help Liz as she continues to grow in her faith.” Bridgewater church of Christ, Katy, Texas: Doug Suggs (deacon) reports, “We began our meeting on Sunday morning with Kevin Rhodes and had over 100 in our assembly for the first time in a good while. We had several visitors and prayed we may get some studies from this. Included with this report is a picture of Dacaila and Anthony, who were recently baptized.” Howe church of Christ, Texas: Aaron Alsbrook (preacher) reports, “We had a great end to last week. Our congregation has an annual Veterans Breakfast for our community’s Military Members. We had 24 contacts, and we will begin sending cards in order to make them prospects, and, Lord willing, Bible studies and new converts. We currently have five Bible studies going on.” Aberdeen church of Christ, Virginia: Fredrick Klein (evangelist) reports, “The Lord has blessed us with an encouraging season of growth and renewal. Last week, James—who has attended for many years—made the wonderful decision to be baptized into Christ. Then this past Sunday, Jacob also obeyed the gospel and was baptized. Alongside these joyful moments, we have witnessed three restorations: two long-absent members returned to the Lord over the past two weeks, and another restoration occurred just this week. On top of all this, our card groups continue to thrive. Members are faithfully filling out contact cards, encouraging those in need, and opening doors for more studies and conversations about the gospel.” Williamsburg church of Christ, Virginia: Jim Bishop (elder) reports, “We thank God for all the blessings we have received by providing contacts. This week, we had a local visitor and his son. He was invited by one of our members who works with him. His young son was excited about attending and enjoyed being in Bible study with the other children. As we plan for prayer and plan for 2026, we focus on the church’s one mission: Looking for additional ways to find contacts with door knocking strategies and outreach events. May God bless all those seeking contacts, having Bible studies, and providing the Gospel to all those who are seeking.” West Side church of Christ, Salem, Virginia: Jeff Durham (elder) reports, “We were excited to welcome our new minister, Chris French, and his family to West Side! He, Kelly, their four children, and his mother will be tremendous assets to the work here. Luke presented a meaningful lesson about “Christ of the Church.” Our big focus this week is making final preparations for our second Community Support Day this Saturday as a way to make Contacts that can then be prospected. Lots of coats have been brought to the building to be given out, along with other items people need. Our church family is ready to work together to make this a meaningful opportunity to assist with the physical needs of our neighbors and to make new connections to share the gospel of Christ with them.” NOTE: These reports are from Christians and congregations enrolled in the House to House/Heart to Heart School of Evangelism. These emails are sent to teach and provoke one another to remain focused on the mission of Christ. Each week, we share several reports and highlight one with more details. We hope you enjoy reading them. For additional HTH speaking appointments, go to:
