COORDINATORS SPREADSHEET
HTHSOE Checklist

Featured Congregation: Flatwoods church of Christ, KY

Editor’s Note: If it is not cultural, it is temporary, a fad, or a fashion. Cultural change takes patience, persistence, and prayer. There are times when your fire is ablaze, but there are also times when your fire is just a spark. No matter where you are, keep fanning the flame. If you start with a bang and end with a thud, little is accomplished in the long term. Evangelism should define your congregation; it should not become a distant theme of the year. Evangelism is who we are, what we do, and why we exist. This week’s featured article is evidence of culture change in real time. We submit it for your consideration.

Our Thinking Has Changed
by Nathan Adkins

Our evangelism efforts continue to be in our daily conversations, elders’ meetings, and in our worship services. Truly, our thinking has changed in that the lost are now in the front and center of our minds.  When most of us are moving in this direction, it spurs the others to come along.

This past week, we had two home Bible studies. Serpell and I had one with a lady we met while door-knocking back in September. After the fourth visit, she was very open to participating in a study, and we conducted one in her home with BTTB. She also came with us to Bible class and worship yesterday. We have scheduled another study for next Saturday. We also have a tentative Bible study scheduled for next Saturday with a young lady who has been visiting with us recently. We hope to nail that down this week. We are sending out new movers’ invitations again this week. Greg is organizing the new movers’ gifts to be prepared this week, with plans to deliver them in the next two weeks. The elders met with John, who leads our greeters’ ministry, to adjust for the best impression we can. Yesterday we had two new visitors. We appreciate all prayers, but especially we need prayers for one of our brothers who is facing a decision between coming back to the Lord and His church or pleasing his resistant family.”

Congregational Reports

Glencoe church of Christ, Alabama: Keith Ritchie (evangelist) reports, “We had a meeting with the evangelistic coordinators yesterday. Each coordinator will be training members to use the HTHSOE PDF articles and videos. We are looking forward to fine-tuning our skills to be more effective in 2026. Our attendance is still excellent, and we have been blessed with so many opportunities. The plan of work will be handed out at the beginning of 2026 with most of our works and evangelistic opportunities listed. Let it sow, grow, and glow. To God be the glory!”

Fayette church of Chris, Alabama: Josh Taylor (deacon) reports, “We continue to work on our 28 contacts. Two of the 28 have agreed to participate in scheduled Bible studies. We ask for prayers for the success of those. The key to success, in my opinion, is to build the program to fit your congregation. Find the areas where your congregation excels, and give them the highest priority. Then, gradually and periodically, implement more elements of the program. I feel our program is running very well and is very successful, but I continue to tweak it. Tweaking it keeps the newness of things from wearing off and keeps people engaged. We are so excited for what 2026 has in store for us. I want to put special emphasis on our Associate Minister, Derek Porter, who has been very helpful to me as a resource to our program. Also, we encourage each individual in the congregation to focus on one soul at a time. We have a lot of contacts, but when we find that one who engages more for Bible studies and such, we start engaging him/her with prayer, love, and focus. That has benefited me greatly to help keep me focused, engaged, and energized. To all the congregations out there: You can do this—One Soul at A Time! To God be the Glory.”

Hatton church of Christ, Town Creek, Alabama: Chris Miller (preacher) reports, “We had our mission meal with one of the best turnouts all year. We made 12 new assignments, along with the whole group focusing on assistance that one of the new Christians desperately needs. It is great to be part of a unified effort. More studies should be underway soon, in addition to the studies that are going on.”

Cedar Grove church of Christ, Andalusia, Alabama: Josh Holloway (preacher) reports, “We have several Bible studies ongoing, but they are a little sporadic with the holiday season. We are still studying with Micheal, Tony, Shelia, Casheria, and Lontae. We only had two Bible studies this past week. Next week, we will be trying to set up another study with one of our prospects who has been attending. This last Sunday brought more family as new visitors. Each week, we continue to send compassion cards. That program is doing great. We have had a lot of visitors lately. Some have been great prospects. We are moving forward in some new ways with our new movers program. Next week we will start working on stocking the last gifts to deliver to those in the community in need. We will include some invitation cards and our benevolence program information to see if we can make additional contacts.”

Central church of Christ, Saraland, Alabama: David Dixon (preacher) reports, “God’s providence was in full effect. Between answered prayers for the sick and suffering, and convicted consciences responding to God’s Word, we continue to see results from our focus on evangelism. When making disciples is the basis of all you do, it seems each Christian strives to be more aware of the example he or she is setting. Our most recent baptism, Cheryl, has been involved in playing Secret Santa for children in our community since long before she became a Christian. Now she is setting an example of benevolence and charity that many of us would do well to follow. She lives in government housing, has never been married and is childless, and she has numerous health issues, yet she still has a giving spirit and is full of joy. We do not currently have any Bible studies in progress, but we know if we keep spreading the seed, God will provide!”

Creekwood church of Christ, Mobile, Alabama: Tucker Presley (preacher) reports, “We have one Bible study going on. Another will start on Wednesday! One of our members has been bringing her neighbor (to whom we sent cards previously) to worship services. Hopefully, a Bible study will come from that soon! The new movers’ work is still trying to get going. We have everything in place, but think we need a little more help from members to get it going. “

Rison church of Christ, Arkansas: Keden Shrum (preacher) reports, “We recently gave a new-mover basket to a family who just moved to the area. A few of our families live close by, and each stopped by at different times to welcome them. As a result, they worshipped with us on Sunday morning. After worship, one of our elders took them out for lunch. They said they enjoyed the service and plan to be back. Care Team B met on Sunday evening and sent cards to two visitors and a local family that recently gave birth to a little girl.”

Mountain Home church of Christ, Arkansas: Joshua Adams (preacher) reports, “We hosted our church Family & Friends Holiday Dinner, and it was a tremendous blessing. Several members of our community joined alongside our church family. Not only did the evening encourage our members and support those in need with a meal and food bags distributed afterwards, but also it opened doors with neighbors who need Christ. In fact, I had a lunch Bible study today with someone I ate with at the meal—God is moving in our community! A special word of thanks to Landon Pitchford, the deacon who dreamed up this idea and worked hard to bring it to life, and to our elders for approving and supporting a brand-new event for us. Evangelistic efforts continue with additional Bible studies and outreach opportunities already underway. As a wonderful finish to the evening yesterday, 17 people stayed after service and filled out 145 Compassion Cards. God is at work. We will keep planting and watering with faith and joy.”

Margaret Street church of Christ, Milton, Florida: Troy Spradlin (preacher) reports, “It is that time of year to prepare budgets and make plans for 2026. We are focusing on more ways to increase our evangelistic efforts. All of our deacons are now including some form of evangelism in their planning, and we have a few meetings coming up to discuss strategy. To God be the glory! Our current 2025 Year-to-Date Accountability Board numbers are: 350 Total Contacts received; 87 Total Visitors; 266 Neighbors (Prospects whom we have loved and/or studied with); 80 Bible studies (total completed); 2400 Compassion Cards sent; 2 Restorations, and 19 Baptisms.”

Stuart church of Christ, Florida: Tom Neth (deacon) reports, “Five weeks into this culture shift, we are already seeing strong results. Congregational energy and involvement remain high, and our visitor volume has grown to the point that we are actively refining our processes and training to keep pace. To date, our members have sent more than 200 cards, we have four active Bible studies in progress, and we have been blessed with five baptisms.”

Niceville church of Christ, Florida: Joe Palmer (preacher) reports, “This week we had two studies. We did not have a card meeting. We had no visitors Sunday. We had our annual Christmas party; it was good to look around and see new Christians in attendance, as well as one person who is currently studying with us. Lots of work with New Christians is going on, including studies and involvement in people’s lives. Remember the process is discipleship, not just conversion. We are in the midst of budget planning and working on how to make next year more effective.”

Gray church of Christ, Georgia (remote): Keith Dixon (preacher) reports, “We are so small that folks who are participating just take on a job and do it without being asked. It seems to be working for us. If we need something done, one of us volunteers to do it. We are meeting early on Wednesday to sign cards and discuss what we need to do. We have sent 92 cards so far, made one visit with more to be done this week, and had one study. Our contacts are growing, and so are our prospects. We are still learning, but we look forward to expanding the church here in Gray, Georgia. I sent a picture of the board I made so we can keep track of where we are going and how we are doing. We are getting new numbers soon, so that it will look better. Pray for us as we need workers and funds.”

Lafayette church of Christ, Georgia: Jesse Tague (deacon) reports, “Last night, we had about 11 saints signing cards to send to nine different souls that need to know about Christ! That same night, we made more than 40 ‘Christmas Baskets’ to send out to widows and widowers (Christians and non-Christians). Last Friday, the city of Lafayette hosted a Christmas Parade as a community event. Several members at Lafayette pitched in and decorated a float for the parade. Volunteers packed bags with candy, and of course, information about salvation and the church. Many folks in the community come to this parade, and our elders thought it fit to sow seeds of the gospel (along with sweet treats) at this event.”

Warner Robins church of Christ, Georgia: Damien Walker (evangelist) reports, “We are still excited for the potential that the House to House six-step model can unlock in the middle Georgia area. Warner Robins is continuing to feel out the HTHSOE process. We have been taking some actions to get closer to where we need to be, but there is still much more to do. We are aware that we need coordinators for different areas of the process to work, so we will be working to equip men to see these tasks through. Not a lot has changed yet, but we feel like the miner who is only inches away from a cluster of priceless diamonds. The only difference is, the miner does not know whether the hole he is digging will be the one that pays off. We know that if we continue ‘digging’ (applying these biblical principles of congregational evangelism), that we will see our work pay dividends in reaching the lost, seeing souls saved, and seeing members of the Lord’s body equipped to do the work of ministry together (Ephesians 4:12, 16). We ask for prayers for our continued efforts!”

Cartersville church of Christ, Georgia (remote): Charles Harris (regional trainer) reports, “For December, we have eight prospects. We currently have three ongoing Bible Studies from November prospects. We will be making 15 transition visits throughout this month.”

Woodstock church of Christ, Georgia: Matt Amos (preacher) reports, “We had two events this weekend. On Saturday, we hosted the Panel Pancake Breakfast. The congregation had knocked on 100+ doors to encourage them to come to the PPB. On Sunday, our second event was Woodstock’s Annual Christmas Parade. The congregation set up a water stand for the attendees and participates (picture attached). Both of these events generated thirty-two follow-up contacts and one prospect contact card. The Prison Ministry Group is working with the Youth Detention Center to baptize three students. WCOC had eight non-Christian visitors this past Sunday morning worship. We had one Bible study and three baptisms.”

Honolulu church of Christ, Hawaii: Tagiiliima Esene (preacher) reports, “Our church family is going through some major changes that will help with our work in the islands. We not only want to win souls, but also to grow deep relationships in the church. What we are doing will prove to have a positive impact on our overall work as a church. Two souls are near the kingdom. We have many prospects among us. We need to revive our efforts in evangelism as this year has been very challenging for us in many ways. My family and I will be in the mission field next week. We appreciate the support we received for this mission effort. We are excited about what is ahead and will send updates of our work. We recently celebrated 70 years of our congregation meeting together in our current church building. We are at a crucial point in our history and present as a church.”

Collinsville-Troy church of Christ, Illinois: Jason Wright (elder) reports, “We continue to have several visitors each Sunday. The man I am studying with attended this Sunday. We covered about one-third of Book 2 with him and his wife on Wednesday. We will continue this Wednesday as we look at instruments in worship. He has a Pentecostal background. He also says that all those years of false doctrine were forced on him. We shall see what happens. We mailed 90 compassion cards. The second Sunday is coming up, and we will hand out invitation cards. We are close to graduating two Christians from the New Converts’ class.”

Lincoln church of Christ, Indiana: Drew Reece (preacher) updates, “We are planning to finish the curriculum in the next week or two. We are still working with our prospects and sending cards. We have one Bible Study underway that just finished Book 1!”

Columbus church of Christ, Kansas: Matt Fowler (member) reports, “Our recent new convert, Don, attended his first worship service this week. It was exciting to relay his story and present him with his baptismal certificate. Our next issue of House to House Heart to Heart has been distributed, and I put some of our extra copies in the mailbox at work. We have sent 13 compassion cards out this month. We are continuing to pray for opportunities to sow seed for the kingdom.”

Beloit church of Christ, Kansas (remote): Dustin Dougherty (regional trainer) reports, “We are currently going through Back to the Bible each Sunday. Training the congregation on how to use evangelism tools is important. It has been several years, so we are doing it again. I preached Book 2 last Sunday.”

Spring Creek church of Christ, Hickory, Kentucky: David Morse (elder) reports, “We are excited to report that we are making progress in our evangelism efforts. This week, Samuel presented a lesson titled, ‘How the Wise Win Souls,’ utilizing several passages found in Proverbs. At our evening service, we continued to work through our Bible study books as a congregation, completing Book 2 and starting Book 3. Members of our ‘Blue Group’ met following our morning service and prior to our evening service to write Compassion Cards to current prospects. The congregation’s leadership continues to meet every Wednesday evening for an hour and a half before our Wednesday evening service to work on our evangelism efforts. We are happy to report that we have increased our ‘Prospects’ to 22. Other numbers: Visitors-six, Cards Sent – 406, Bible Studies – three, Baptisms – one, Baptism Goal – seven.”

Central church of Christ, Paducah, Kentucky: Adam Faughn (preacher) reports, “We were blessed to have guests with us yesterday, including a couple of return guests, and we are hoping to set up studies with them in the near future. Our new converts’ class started a new quarter yesterday; it was exciting to see a couple of the students who had been in that class ‘graduate’ to the regular adult Bible classes. Their spiritual growth is a great encouragement to us! We are praying for open doors and working on several ideas for 2026, both to grow closer together and to reach the lost in our community. While that can be a delicate balance, working together to reach the lost is always encouraging!”

Gonzales church of Christ, Louisiana: Patrick Adkins (deacon) reports, “We had 54 cards signed today, and the month to date is 998 for the year. We have one study scheduled for December so far and 13 prospects. We had three visitors today.”

La Plata church of Christ, Maryland (remote): Eric Sykes (regional trainer) reports, “We had a sister return to worship. She has been away from the church for several years. She recently married a member of the Catholic Church. She is now in a Bible study with Tabetha on the topic of Forgiveness. We are working to build a relationship with her husband, hoping to get him into a Bible study. Last week, Sister Cynthia completed Lesson 3 of Back to the Bible with two individuals. She had Sandy sit in as a silent partner on one of the studies. One said that she wanted to wait to be baptized, and the other young lady is in need of additional study. We are working to get her into another study using Does it Matter?  Janiah completed Lesson 1 of BTTB with one of her college classmates. Our Wednesday night Bible study class started Chapter 12 of Growing in Christ: The All-Sufficiency of Scripture. Our Friday evening Zoom class completed a lesson on ‘The Truth About Christmas.’ Our Sunday morning New Converts class is completing their first lesson in Fundamentals of the Faith titled “The Authority & Inspiration of the Bible.” Seven folks were in attendance. We completed our Sunday Morning Kick-Off sermon series at the Waldorf Church of Christ on Sunday. The members are truly getting excited and prepared for the upcoming AMC in March 2026. Please keep us in prayer as we strive to get members from both the La Plata and the Waldorf congregations registered and prepared for AMC 2026.”

Aberdeen church of Christ, Mississippi: Jonathan Hagar (preacher) reports, “This Sunday we had a restoration. It was great to see this person come forward and very encouraging to the church. We had four return visitors this past Sunday! They stayed and had lunch with us for the fellowship meal, so we got a chance to get to know them better, which was great. The door-knocking team will go out one more time before the end of year. We have been using our Christmas parties during this time of year to help bring in more people who have not been faithful in attendance. It is a good way to reconnect with them. I have two Bible studies set up this week; we appreciate all prayers for these studies.”

Oak Grove church of Christ, Missouri: Davie Wiseman (elder) reports, “We did have several visitors on Wednesday night as we had a lot of family members back. On Sunday, we had two visitors. One is the brother of one of our young men. We have hopes he will continue to come to services. We also had one traveler passing through on his way home. With all the holidays coming, we are going to kick off in January. We are working now to set up the coordinators. We have passed out the survey and have 95 percent of them back. We are putting them into a spreadsheet. This has been a very positive undertaking, and we are looking forward to building the program.”

Concord church of Christ, New Hampshire: Shane Belanger (member) reports, “We currently have one Bible study; Wendy is on Book 2 from Back to the Bible. Prospects include the following: David, Bill, and his wife Celeste, Kathy, and Mike. Training: Our training has been on how to approach a Bible study. We continue to pray for Crystal as she contemplates her decision to be baptized. We continue to stay encouraged as we work hard to implement the program. God bless.”

East Flushing church of Christ, New York (remote): Clarence Jenkins (preacher) reports, “We had four visitors Sunday. After worship service, we watched the video ‘New Converts: Moral Issues.’ Our metrics thus far for and through the month of December were nine baptisms, four visitors, 35 prospects, ten Bible studies, and two for our new converts study. We appreciate all prayers.”

Oak Forest church of Christ, Goldsboro, North Carolina: Dennis Mays (elder) reports, “Our compassion card coordinator and the four ladies who will be organizing the compassion card teams are ready to begin meeting next week. We had our Sunday evening training on how to begin reaching out to some of our members who are prodigals and have fallen away. We will begin by targeting those who have more recently fallen away. On Sunday, we had ten visitors. Four were new visitors. Three of these visitors were family members whom we helped move into their new home several weeks ago. The elders met on Thursday evening and discussed appointing two more coordinators. For the rest of the Sunday evenings in December, we will be completing training sessions led by our Elders. We have a prospect for whom we are praying as he seems to be nearing readiness to be baptized. We appreciate prayers for him.”

Alkire Road church of Christ, Grove City, Ohio: Tony Dunnagan (member) reports, “We had six visitors last week. We were able to obtain three new prospects. We made six transition visits to seek Bible studies. Our Compassion Card teams sent out 157 compassion cards this past week. We currently have two ongoing Bible studies.”

Coweta church of Christ, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma: Houston Shrum (associate minister) reports: “Last night, Patrick and Keno went through Lesson 1 of Back to the Bible with Evan after first having a meal. She seemed interested and engaged. Lesson 2 is tentatively scheduled for next week. A week from this Saturday, Keno and Jamie will be having all of our new converts to their house for a Christmas get-together. Each will receive an Apologetics Press study Bible.”

Owasso church of Christ, Owasso, Oklahoma: David Combs (elder) reports: “We closed our morning service with a pep talk from our Spark plug, Tim Bowman, and he led us in prayer for the overall evangelism effort and for the people on our bookmark cards. We had two New Visitors, and we wrote 45 Compassion Cards. Currently, one prospect is on Week 3, and two prospects are on Week 1.”

York church of Christ, Pennsylvania: Mark Rashke (deacon) reports, “This week, we wrote cards to the grandfather of Matt, one of our recent converts, with whom he lives, and brought him to visit the congregation. This week, Matt brought another visitor, his friend, Shamus. Due to a miscommunication, we did not get a visitor bag to Shamus, but we will follow up with Matt to get his contact information and visit him. We also had our monthly evangelism meeting; we discussed the two prospects whom we are planning to visit.”

St. Andrews Road church of Christ, Columbia, South Carolina: Jamie Byrom (preacher) reports, “A coordinator was appointed for our evangelism table. We have one member who has scheduled a Bible study for this Saturday with a friend who is a member of the Church of Latter-day Saints.”

Soddy Daisy church of Chris, Tennessee: Joe Mallory (preacher) reports, “We are looking forward to the continued efforts of congregational evangelism; we are praying for so many! Care Team 1 will send out about 30-40 compassion cards this week, and our transitional team plans on making some follow-up visits. We appreciate prayers for our conversations with these precious souls, and we thank God of all the love and support through Christ and His gospel.”

White Bluff church of Christ, Tennessee: Shamron Jackson (elder) reports, “Our visitor count was four this Sunday. We signed 219 cards to go out this week. No new Bible studies were reported at this time. We are going out tonight (Monday) to visit some of our card recipients, and we are praying for open hearts. We began this week with another baptism, Donna Wireman, which brings the total to five.  The gospel works, if we are willing to work. We appreciate all prayers for this momentum and zeal continue.”

Freewill church of Christ, Gainesboro, Tennessee (remote): Andrew Scott (preacher) reports, “A visitor return to services Sunday. He has been away for some time because he is a member of a denomination. He had questions for me about instrumental music and the differences between the Old and New Testaments. I deferred all the questions and was able to set up a Bible study. We continue to send out more compassion cards this week. I will also be meeting with one of our new converts about his interest in leading in the worship services! It is a blessing to see his faith continue to grow. God continues to bless us!”

Cookeville church of Christ, Tennessee: Joshua Kennedy (preacher) reports, “We have been sending out compassion cards regularly and have had a few studies set up. We are working on reorganizing and regrouping to tackle this again next year. We are also preparing to schedule visits with prospective contacts soon.”

West Fayetteville church of Christ, Tennessee: Steve Jefferson (elder) reports, “We had a good Saturday with two community outreach events. Our young families hosted ‘Donuts with Santa’ and invited our community to come, bring their children, and visit with Santa. About 80 attended, and 40 are new contacts. Afterwards, a group went to our local nursing homes to sing Christmas carols to some of our shut-ins. It was an encouraging time for all involved. This Sunday, the compassion card team sent out eight cards to two people.”

Ocoee Street church of Christ, Copperhill, Tennessee: R.E. Vann (elder) reports, “It is heartening to see more of our members praying and inviting their neighbors to our assemblies. We were blessed again with another local visitor this Sunday. She was already committed to lunch, but we invited her back to share in our monthly potluck fellowship next Sunday. She gave a positive response, so we are hopeful she will return. Our two Bible studies have stalled over the past several weeks due to work schedule conflicts, but both prospects are still worshiping with us, and both are still interested in furthering our Bible study together.”

Sycamore Chapel church of Christ, Ashland City, Tennessee:  Jackon Erwin (preacher) reports, “We just had another baptism this week for a man who has been visiting with us recently. I will be having another study later this week with another couple, one of whom wants to be baptized.”

West Sparta church of Christ, Tennessee: Justin Turney (deacon) reports, “We currently have three Bible studies ongoing. It has been awesome to see, since we started this in August, that we have consistently had Bible studies in effect. We are continuing to teach the congregation the studies on Sunday night, and we are looking forward to ending the year strong and starting the new year with even more excitement!”

Grundy Street church of Christ, Tullahoma, Tennessee: John Duncan (elder) reports, “We had a couple that used to attend prior to Covid visit with us the past two Sundays.  We have been sending them cards of encouragement over the past few months.  We pray that they will once again worship with us regularly and again become active members.  In addition, the wife’s mother desired to meet with the elders and place membership with us.  She had been a member at another congregation but desired to change her membership to our congregation, where her daughter was associated.”

Arlington church of Christ, Tennessee: Brandon Tibbits (preacher) reports, “One of our deacons is doing the third study from Back to the Bible on Wednesday with a prospect. We are praying that goes well. We hope for a good response. Although she has stated that she is not interested in changing churches, she was still willing to do the study. “We are praying that her heart is pricked by the truth. We did our visits throughout the week for our transitions, and we have begun working through the new movers list; we are praying for results from that.”

Chapel Hill church of Christ, Tennessee: Matt Jones (deacon) reports, “We had a great turnout for our recent community giveaway. Equally as important, we had many from the church that supported this effort. It was a great success, and we are in the follow-up phase now. We are still praying for several souls with whom we continue to study on a weekly basis.”

Mountain Creek church of Christ, Chattanooga, Tennessee: Michael Tomshack (elder) reports, “We celebrate with the angels in announcing the birth of a new brother in Christ. This is an internal new Christian demonstration of the influence of his great-grandfather’s teachings, the women who have been guiding him on Sundays and Wednesdays throughout elementary school, and the men who have been guiding him more recently. Gary Massey, Elder and Minister, spoke with him on Saturday, and he expressed his desire to be baptized on Sunday morning. Additionally on Sunday, Gary and Michelle Massey took a young couple who had been visiting frequently to lunch, which led to the commencement of a Bible study today. These are both examples of the entire local congregation actively participating in the evangelism process. Teaching begins at cradle roll, with both women and men nurturing the development and understanding of God’s word, ultimately leading to the profession of belief and baptism from a homegrown young man. For visitors, the process begins with a warm greeting upon entry, the pew greeter collecting information, members engaging with the couple each time they visit, remembering their names, extending an invitation to a meal, and requesting an opportunity to study the Bible. May God continue to provide the increase.”

McEwen church of Christ, Tennessee: John Jones (preacher) reports, “We are still rejoicing over our new brother who was baptized in the creek on Friday! We conclude our Bible studies with the linemen tonight and will send them home with materials and encouragement. A new group of linemen comes to town in January, and we have been invited to come out and meet them and invite them to our Monday night linemen Bible study. Please pray that this will yield much fruit.”

Collierville church of Christ, Tennessee: Justin Evergarden (evangelist) reports, “We had a total of seven new prospects come onto our radar. We managed to send out 41 cards in total, keeping the lines of encouragement open. We also had one new in-person visitor, which is always a blessing. On the new mover front, we delivered eight baskets this week to welcome folks into the community. So while things are moving steadily, we are staying hopeful and continuing the work!”

Philadelphia church of Christ, Lebanon, Tennessee: Alex DeGraves (associate minister) reports: “We have two studies currently ongoing, both of which have been progressing well. Additionally, a couple who has received our cards has been visiting with us. We also have a man to whom we sent cards before who had a new development, which created a new opportunity to send cards. We appreciate all prayers that these things will go well, and we can take full advantage of these opportunities.”

Hillcrest church of Christ, Springfield, Tennessee: Tim Taylor (evangelist) reports, “We are having two events that are open to the community that will bring new contacts into our building! A new event, Cookies with Santa, will be on Friday, December 12. Our members are busy baking cookies this week, and several others have volunteered to be greeters, elves, and even Santa himself. We are having our annual food giveaway on Saturday, December 20, which will allow us the opportunity to serve and pray with the underprivileged in our community. We look forward to these opportunities to plant and water the seed of the Gospel!”

Birdwell Chapel church of Christ, Cottontown, Tennessee: Kerry England (elder) reports, “We are excited about our Pancakes with Santa event this Saturday! It is an annual event, but it was mainly for our children in the past. This year, we are making it an evangelistic and benevolent event as well. We have advertised it in HTH/HTH and social media, and we mailed invitations to contacts as well as personally inviting people. We are also preparing food baskets to assist people who may need help. We are praying this gives us the opportunity to set up studies and share the gospel with our community!”

Rivergate church of Christ, Madison, Tennessee: Doug Tooley (preacher) reports, “We had two visitors Wednesday night who were repeats in the Wednesday men’s and ladies’ classes. They came back this week for Sunday services. We also had four other visitors on Sunday morning. One couple is going to lunch in the future. Another visitor requested to study with me about baptism. Three visits were made last week.”

Colleyville church of Christ, Texas:  John Garza (regional trainer) reports, “We are excited to announce that we have hired Aaron Lloyd! He is a graduate of the Memphis School of Preaching (class of 2025). Since placing his membership with us in August, Aaron has proven himself to be a soul winner. He has had many Bible studies, baptized multiple people, and provided contacts although he is new to the area. Aaron officially begins today, and he is learning the ropes for full-time evangelist work. I am training him. He is watching all of the videos on the school of evangelism, so it allows me to explain parts of the program more easily. This will allow us to revamp our program and encourage the congregation. Currently, we have one ongoing Bible study, and we have many prospects that we are reaching out to.”

Roanoke church of Christ, Texas: Caleb Rutherford (preacher) reports, “Though the year is winding down, we continue to march onward with our evangelistic efforts. Group 3 wrote to five prospects on Sunday night. The study with Kelsey continued on Sunday night as well. We have seven studies underway at the moment, and I feel a couple will result in baptisms soon!”

Southwest church of Christ, Austin, Texas: Bryce Mayfield (evangelist) reports, “I am going through the School of Evangelism again. After speaking with John Garza, I realized there is some new material in the school that I have not seen. This year, our congregation has made great progress in our evangelistic efforts. More people are involved, and we are becoming more unified in our efforts each day. I meet with our elders monthly to discuss the evangelistic efforts. Many of our members are involved in Bible studies at this time, and we are about to start our new converts class (We praise God for the need for this class again). All these things are wonderful, but I know we still have growing to do. Therefore, after going through the school again, I will compare the model to what is happening at Southwest. After doing so, I plan to set some goals for the progress we plan to make in the upcoming year.”

Northern Oaks church of Christ, San Antonio, Texas: Mel Hutzler (elder) reports, “We have had a lot of visitors at Northern Oaks, and we are very glad they could join us. Multiple follow-ups were made, and great conversations were had. We continue to make contacts every week. Please pray for our endeavors to bring the lost to Christ. We are currently engaged in five Bible studies, and six are in our new convert studies. We continue to plan our spring break evangelism efforts.”

Seagoville church of Christ, Texas: Kodie Martin (evangelist) reports, “This Sunday begins our first transition week. We taught our Navy Seals on what to say, what to bring, and, most importantly, gave them names of prospects to visit. We will be following up with each of them to ensure visits are made and how they went. I can attest that prospecting has gone very positively. The cards have touched some of our prospects, and we pray that this will lead hearts to studies. One such prospect, Emily, attended services this past Sunday with her family, who attends here. Another good thing that has come from prospecting is its effect on the congregation. Many feel livelier and more involved, and that has translated into reaching out more to former members who have come due to that zeal!”

Wheeler church of Christ, Texas: Garrett English (preacher) reports, “Last week did not work out as planned with the Bible studies, but I am working to make at least one happen this week. I preached part of the sermon Sunday about evangelism in hopes to inspire more to help in these efforts.”

Bridge Avenue church of Christ, Weslaco, Texas: Braulio Carvajal III (preacher) reports, “We had four prospects at services on Wednesday. On Sunday, we had four visitors and two prospects worship with us. We had seven in our new converts class on Sunday morning, and six attended our Wednesday new converts class. Currently, we have two Bible studies that are ongoing.”

North Jefferson church of Christ, Mt. Pleasant, Texas: Davin Whatley (evangelist) reports, “Reach Team 4 met on Sunday and wrote Compassion Cards. One of the people who has received our cards, Ms. Jada, agreed to a Bible study with two of our ladies! Also, we want to be more purposeful in how we approach visitors, so we had a meeting/visitor team training session. We are following the HTH model of the Visitor Team approach, and after our meeting yesterday, we now have nine visitor teams who will take turns being ready to meet with our visitors, take them out to eat, and look to transition to home meals and Bible studies.”

Bridgewater church of Christ, Katy, Texas: Doug Suggs (deacon) reports, “We finished our study with Keisha on Monday and found out that she is a member of the Lord’s church. She will be placing membership with us. She has four children, three of which are not Christians, but we hope to have a study with them soon. Jim will be studying with her son Chris this coming Saturday to go over his baptism.”

Howe church of Christ, Texas: Aaron Alsbrook (preacher) reports, “We have several studies underway that have slowed down due to holiday travel and plans. Our first New Converts class is winding down with great success and more understanding of the scriptures and the church. God has been good to us, and we continue to work to glorify our Savior by being more like Him. God Bless.”

Williamsburg church of Christ, Virginia: Jim Bishop (elder) reports, “This week, there were two Bible studies held. May God work in the hearts of these two souls that they might respond to the gospel. We are praying for them. We were blessed with two local visitors. One had just moved into the area from New Mexico, and another brought her parents, who were visiting from Indiana. We pray for all those seeking contacts, knocking on doors, working with prospects, conducting Bible studies, preparing compassion cards, and training others to spread the gospel. May God provide everyone with opportunities.”

West Side church of Christ, Salem, Virginia: Jeff Durham (elder) reports, “Our Youth Group continues to be an encouragement and inspiration to our Congregational Evangelism efforts. They regularly invite friends to classes/worship, and their activities. They challenge each other to study their Bibles with group text chats. Our Teens proactively coordinate with our Family and Youth Minister to ask and answer Bible questions as they seek to increase their understanding of the scriptures and be better prepared to share the truths contained in God’s Word. We are thankful for their example of commitment to carrying out the Great Commission!”
