Editor’s Note: When I read this report, my heart was touched. What an amazing display of God’s grace. Mountain Home has been a shining star in the Kingdom. Their focus on the mission is an example for all other congregations in Arkansas and throughout the world. Joshua Adams is not only a preacher but also an evangelist! He understands that building a church from within requires a church to focus without. Evangelism is the tree of life for the church of Christ.

An Unmistakable Display of God’s Saving Grace
Written by Joshua Adams

This past week brought an especially sweet evangelistic victory for the Kingdom of God. One of our members, Abby, has been faithfully bringing her teenage niece and nephew—Annabelle and Isaiah—to our services whenever possible. Their father, Adam, is a single dad who grew up in the church but was never baptized. During his younger years, family hardships disrupted his spiritual journey, and his faith stalled. As his children began attending regularly, Annabelle showed particular interest in spiritual matters and asked her aunt about baptism. In that same conversation, Isaiah also expressed a desire to learn more. When Abby shared this with her brother, it prompted deep self-reflection. Adam admitted that while he believes, he has not been the spiritual example or leader his children need, and that needed to change.

Abby introduced me to the family, and we met on Thursday evening for a Bible study. After about an hour of studying Scripture together, both Annabelle and Isaiah were convinced that they needed to put on Christ in baptism. Before proceeding, however, Adam spoke with resolve and humility, expressing his desire to step forward as a better father and the spiritual leader of his home. He, too, wanted to put Christ on in baptism. After calling relatives to the building, I baptized Adam. Then, without ever leaving the water, Adam baptized his two children.

It was a powerful and beautiful moment—an unmistakable display of God’s saving grace and a spiritual turning point where conviction became action, and a father led his children into the Kingdom of God. This may be the sweetest moment of evangelism I have ever been blessed to be a part of. God is so good!”

Congregational Reports

San Saba church of Christ, Texas: We welcome the San Saba church of Christ to the House to House/Heart to Heart School of Evangelism. Their preacher, Justin Bell, is a gifted evangelist, and the congregation has an evangelistic spirit. We look forward to working with them to reach the lost.

Fayette church of Christ, Alabama: Josh Taylor (deacon) reports, “We rejoice with the Porter family. Andee Porter, one of our middle school youths, decided to put Christ on in baptism. We recently took our youth to the SOAR conference in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and that had a big impact on her decision. The Porter family is an integral part of our congregation, and we are so thankful for them. To God be the glory!”

Hatton church of Christ, Town Creek, Alabama: Chris Miller (preacher) reports, “Our new movers’ effort has been a recent focus; we had a family this Sunday visiting that was from that part of our outreach. We think there is a good opportunity for a study. We also had a good attendance for our card signing on Sunday, and we are having quite a few regular visitors who are promising opportunities.”

Central church of Christ, Saraland, Alabama: David Dixon (preacher) reports, “From persistent visitors to recently returned members, Central has no shortage of opportunities for evangelism. This week was slow for us from a contact standpoint, but we do not get discouraged. We continue to send out 20-30 cards at our bi-weekly Monday Night for the Master meeting. We continue to greet visitors and promote our postcards. It has been about five months since our last baptism, but we do not lose hope. In fact, our new converts continue to show the way in diligent personal Bible study and in making efforts to lead others to Christ. We know that if we keep our nose to the grindstone, God will reap the rewards!”

Petersville church of Christ, Florence, Alabama: Adam Richardson (preacher) reports, “We are in the middle of conducting surveys from the members on what makes Petersville a successful congregation and what we can work to improve. Evangelism was mentioned several times positively, and we hope that means the culture is moving in the right direction as we plan for the future. We sent 32 compassion cards this week and received one response on Sunday from a woman who had been away from church for many years (she returned a while ago, and her heart for the church has been growing in positive ways lately). It is encouraging for others to see!”

Creekwood church of Christ, Mobile, Alabama: Tucker Presley (preacher) reports, “The new movers’ work is up and running! The first batch of new movers’ baskets was delivered last week, and we had a very favorable response! Hopefully, this will give us more contacts and prospects. One Bible study continues, and another is set to begin soon. We have a chili cook-off this Sunday evening, and we have been advertising it heavily on social media. Several people in our community have seen the posts, and some have even commented and liked them. We expect a big crowd!”

Hartselle church of Christ, Alabama: Justin Smith (preacher) reports, “This week we installed a deacon over local evangelism. This is a huge step for where we want to go with our work with the school of evangelism, and continuing to fully implement and operate the school will be his primary focus. We will be working to get him up to speed over the next few months.”

Cedar Grove church of Christ, Andalusia, Alabama: Josh Halloway (preacher) reports, “We are working hard, sending out cards this week for a total of 4043 since we began the program last April. We made more than 20 transition visits in the last two weeks. We had four Bible studies last week (Lontae, Casheria, Debbra, and Micheal). We also were able to help a couple of potential prospects with benevolence.”

Rison church of Christ, Arkansas: Keden Shrum (preacher) reports, “We had two excellent worship services. Care Team A met on Sunday evening to work on compassion cards. We sent cards to a community member recovering from surgery and to a young family who recently moved to town.”

Milestone church of Christ, Cantonment, Florida: Randy Brantley (elder) reports, “The congregation at Milestone is more motivated than I have seen in a long time. They have been inviting people to church, and yesterday we had three families and one individual for a total of 13 visitors. Seven returned last night. We sent six compassion cards to my neighbor Leah; she has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. Her husband Tommy is in the text-to-text Bible reading prompt. Yesterday morning, we had 94 present for Bible study.”

Margaret Street church of Christ, Milton, Florida: Troy Spradlin (preacher) reports, “We recently appointed Nick Bartell as coordinator for New Converts. He has a passion for souls; he is a preaching school graduate who wants to get more involved with the work here at Margaret Street. He has been given the charge to help us from losing any of our new brethren by closing that proverbial ‘back door’ of the faith. Our total 2026 Accountability Board numbers are: 31 Contacts Received; 31 Neighbors (Prospects); 63 Compassion Cards sent; two Bible studies; one Restoration, and two Baptisms.”

Stuart church of Christ, Florida: Tom Neth (deacon) reports, “Our elders visited with eight prodigals the church has been showering with love through cards. Three have visited, and we had our second restoration of the New Year. We had five more visitors come our way, and two from earlier this month began a Bible study. We have had 15 visitors this month, and we sent 900 cards. We have four active Bible studies, and we had two restorations. We continue to improve our efforts through training and learning, so we can do better.”

Niceville church of Christ, Florida: Joe Palmer (preacher) reports, “We had two visitors on Sunday. One is in a study; the other is moving to our area soon. We had a housewarming fellowship for two of our converts who are moving into a new apartment. We sent out 20 cards and added one new name to our list. This week we will have a reorganizational meeting. I will be spending a lot of time on that this week.”

Edgewood church of Christ, Georgia: Mitchell Deering (deacon) reports, “We mailed 30 compassion cards this week as part of our ongoing outreach. Card outreach continues to be steady as we work to rebuild and expand our prospect pipeline early in the year.”

Lafayette church of Christ, Georgia: Jesse Teague (deacon) reports, “We door-knocked Saturday—17 members spoke with 30 souls. We let them know that God loves them and His church is active in Lafayette, Georgia! We had a compassion card signing for Group 2. Nine names are on the list to receive cards. We encouraged folks who had filled out contact cards. Fourteen members were signing away after evening worship.”

Warner Robins church of Christ, Georgia: Damien Walker (evangelist) reports, “We are working on emphasizing our bookmarks. I have been teaching the congregation what the process looks like (bookmark -> pray -> look for things going on with people on your list -> congregation sends cards -> Bible studies -> baptisms -> growing church). It is still in the awkward phase. People either are not comfortable raising their hands to submit a request, or they have not put people on their list. When I ask if anyone has names with specific needs on their list, no one responds. Beginning in February, we will have sermons about seeking contacts! Also, we are trying to revise our compassion card efforts and make the list only for prospecting contacts. It may take some time to see the results, but our evangelists and elders understand the mission, and we are not backing down from it. We appreciate prayers for our success in winning souls for the Master. He deserves success.”

Gray church of Christ, Georgia (remote): Keith Dixon (preacher) reports, “We had an unusual event for middle Georgia this past Sunday; we had snow! Since the first of the year, we have been working hard. We have sent 41 cards. We have one study with the second lesson this Wednesday. We have six more prospects. Our new movers are keeping us busy as well.”

Cartersville church of Christ, Georgia (remote): Charles Harris (regional trainer) reports, “A few Bible studies are ongoing. On Sunday, we had a husband and wife restored. Several of us have been encouraging them to come back home.”

Woodstock church of Christ, Georgia: Matt Amos (preacher) reports, “WCOC HTH Door Knocking Campaign knocked on 57 doors, resulting with six contacts. The Prison Ministry Group has established a working relationship with a CoC to help with the local youth detention center with the students’ Christian Growth. They will set up a program to ensure the student stays aligned in God’s light after baptism. The Compassion Card Group created and sent 18 cards. WCOC had nine non-Christian visitors this past Sunday morning worship.”

Collinsville-Troy church of Christ, Illinois: Jason Wright (evangelist) reports, “This past week, we conducted four Bible Studies. We mailed 102 compassion cards. On Wednesday, Barbara and I continued our study with the Cherrys. We began at 12:30 and finished at 4:30. Robert was baptized into Christ. His wife will need more study. Multiple times over the past several weeks of study, Robert would get agitated at how his family (dad was a Pentecostal preacher) had taught him wrong. Both he and his wife were ‘surprised’ by the following: we are no longer under the Ten Commandments; the Bible shows the organization of the church (pastors); the Bible teaches to have the Lord’s Supper every Sunday; musical instruments are not authorized; and the name of the church is important. At the end of every study, I asked the students if anything surprised them. Over the years, their answers are fascinating. A few years ago, Robert came to a food giveaway at the church. We have at least two each year. He recently wrote a letter to the church asking for help. I went to him immediately. We helped him, sent his wife cards, and developed a relationship. Now he is in Christ. Make whatever you do evangelistic, including food giveaways, clothing closets, and backpack giveaways. Since we took this approach, we always have contacts.”

Columbus church of Christ, Kansas: Matt Fowler (member) reports, “We continued our training by talking about House to House/Heart to Heart Mailer and interactions we have already had as a result from it. I had been placing them in staff mailboxes in the school where I teach and was given a few minutes to talk about it and pray for our staff at an in-service. The church is definitely growing in favor. We have four prospects and have sent out 27 compassion cards this month. We are praying for opportunities with our friends, neighbors, and community members. We also appreciate prayers on behalf of our new converts as we continue to mentor and encourage them along. We are praying for all the efforts going on throughout the brotherhood.”

Flatwoods church of Christ, Kentucky: Nathan Adkins (elder) reports, “In the morning worship, we had ten visitors. A family of three was there for the first time. We will be sending them cards this week. They said they enjoyed the service and plan to be back. A second family was there again, with whom we have had studies, and we will have another study as soon as the dad returns home from his work assignment in a couple of weeks. Next week, the elders plan to address the congregation again to renew our evangelism goals for the year. We have our calendar set for the year with evangelism efforts nearly every month.”

Beloit church of Christ, Kansas (remote): Dustin Dougherty (regional trainer) reports, “I ordered quite a few ‘welcome to the community’ cards, so we can begin sending cards to follow up on the initial basket delivery. We also purchased ‘prayers for you’ cards; we have many in our community or the surrounding area who are dealing with illnesses or cancer. This next weekend, I will be traveling to be with the Scott City church of Christ in southwest Kansas. To God be the glory.”

Spring Creek church of Christ, Hickory, Kentucky: David Morse (elder) reports, “Greeting from the Spring Creek congregation.  We continue to labor in the Lord’s work.  Samuel’s Sunday morning sermon was taken from James 1:22 – There are hearers, and there are doers.  Be A Doer!  Our Blue group met before and after morning services to write compassion cards.  Our leadership group meets each Wednesday an hour before services to discuss our evangelism efforts.  We have had two visitors join us for the last two Sundays.  We are in the process of determining if they are prospects.  Our numbers for the week include: Visitors – 10, Prospects – 33, Cards Sent – 1,052, Current Bible Studies – 2, Baptisms – 2 , Baptism Goal – 7.”

Central church of Christ, Paducah, Kentucky: Adam Faughn (preacher) reports, “One of our prospects, Gary, has faced tremendous health issues. We have tried to study with him (and succeeded once in a more ‘formal’ way), and we also have had many conversations by phone and text. Now he is dying, likely within a few days. We are truly doing all we can to ensure he is ready for eternity. He claims he was “baptized to be saved” many years ago, but he has spent decades in denominationalism, so we are struggling to be certain he was baptized scripturally. Several of our members are striving to send him messages, visit with him, and study with him. While other things have gone on in the last few days, this has been our main evangelistic focus because one soul is worth an immense amount of effort. UPDATE: Dad, Noah, and I all spoke to Gary today about his soul. It turns out, he may have been baptized scripturally. He was in the service and studied his Bible enough that he went to the chaplain and requested baptism for salvation. We are going to keep talking with him as much as we can, but at least there is a chance that all is well!”

Chalmette church of Christ, Louisiana: Scott Russell (member) reports, “We have good news—last week two people obeyed the Gospel! I did not have to break the ice, but since our baptistry is still out for repairs, I had to use my swimming pool late Wednesday night, and it was ice cold!”

Gonzales church of Christ, Louisiana: Ben Vallery (member) reports, “We had nine visitors, and we signed 17 cards. This is a total of 61 cards for the month. We currently have 12 prospects on our list and one Bible study in progress. Our goal for 2026 is 20 baptisms. Our new convert classes continue on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings.”

La Plata church of Christ, Maryland (remote): Eric Sykes (regional trainer) reports, “We sent out 16 compassion cards. We have started two new Bible studies. Sister Cynthia completed Book 1 of Back to the Bible with her neighbor on Saturday, and Tabetha completed Book 1 of BTTB with her hairdresser this evening. We gave an AMC presentation to the congregation on Sunday and then held a 30-minute question-and-answer session with the members. Everything went great. We set up a registration booth in the auditorium, and several members registered for AMC. I believe we had around 80-85 members in attendance. Folks are excited; we are receiving calls and emails from the members. We ask for prayers that our registration numbers will continue to grow. Our Sunday Morning New Converts class completed Lesson 4 of Fundamentals of the Faith, ‘The Organization of the Bible.’ Our Wednesday Night Class just started Chapter 13 of Growing in Christ. Specifically, we are discussing ‘The Bible Comes into Being.’ We have 13 new movers’ baskets to deliver, and we ask for prayers that we will be successful, weather permitting. We ask for continual prayers as we strive to evangelize and bring a successful American Mission Campaign to our community.”

Marshall church of Christ, Missouri (remote): Charles Reid (minister) reports, “I preached the first sermon on John 4 yesterday. We had 12 people in attendance for worship. Jim, our song leader, added a favorable comment and some positive comments on why we need to be more evangelistic. We officially set our goal for two baptisms for this year, and we hope to put some focus on restorations. On Sunday night, Diana and I had an hour-and-a-half visit at our house with a young man to get acquainted. We will have breakfast with him next Saturday at the local Leeton Cafe. We talked with Katie after worship about the compassion cards. We will discuss that further on Thursday night.”

Fulton church of Christ, Mississippi: Richard Comer (deacon) reports, “We have officially begun the HTHSOE model. We passed out the evangelism survey to gauge members’ level of support. We also passed out the bookmarks to begin writing down our contacts. We have one Bible study in progress.”

Aberdeen church of Christ, Mississippi: Jonathan Hagar (preacher) reports, “We had a baptism this past week—the first one of the year—and we are all very excited for our new brother in Christ, Ethan Baugh! Ethan is the son of one of the converts from last year. We are working to get the whole family baptized. A door-knocking team went out this past weekend, and they found some good contacts; one of the people they visited came to services on Sunday. We gave him a visitor packet, and we will be sending invite cards to him this week. The church collectively has four Bible studies scheduled this week. Please join us in prayer, that the studies go well.”

Iuka church of Christ, Mississippi: Sam Glover (preacher) reports, “We had our monthly evangelism meeting, and the results were encouraging. We heard reports on three potential prospects, couples in the area, and we have volunteers who are ready to work. We have also expanded our visitation to shut-ins and lapsed members, with four identified for immediate follow-up. We had volunteers for these efforts immediately. We also made the decision to meet twice a month, with one meeting dedicated to further training and the other to follow-up and reporting. I have been thrilled to see that the membership wants to be involved and get things done.”

Oak Grove church of Christ, Missouri: David Wiseman (elder) reports, “We sent out 55 cards this last week. We had seven visitors at the services on Sunday morning. Two of those were traveling. Two are good prospects as they are relatives of one of our families.”

East Flushing church of Christ, New York (remote): Clarence Jenkins (preacher) reports, “In spite of the heavy snow that tumbled down, we had a visitor Sunday. After the service, we watched the video ’New Converts: Mentoring Part 2,’ in our efforts to focus more on keeping those we reach. Our metrics thus far through January 2026 are two baptisms, ten visitors, nine Bible studies, and two in our New Converts’ class. We appreciate all prayers.”

Oak Forest church of Christ, Goldsboro, North Carolina: Dennis Mays (elder) reports, “We had four visitors plus one man who has been studying with an elder and our preacher. This man has been attending for about two months, and we need prayers for him. Pray that this man will soon decide to become our Christian brother. This past week, we put together our visitors’ bags, which included a small loaf of homemade banana bread. Also, we named a coordinator to be over our Visitor Team, Door Greeters, and Pew Greeters. The coordinator for these two teams has set up a meeting for next Sunday afternoon to ensure they understand how to welcome our visitors and make them feel appreciated for coming to worship with us. Twenty members have volunteered to work on this evangelistic effort. We appreciate all prayers for this new work at Oak Forest. Yesterday afternoon, 13 members of Group 3 of the compassion card writers came together and wrote 117 cards that will be sent out this week. This makes a total of 277 cards sent out to our prospects in January. Our compassion card writers are doing a great job. We pray that those who receive these cards will feel the love God has for them and that the family of Oak Forest church of Christ cares about them. Our new coordinator for the Visitors Team, Door Greeters, and Pew Greeters is doing a great job. He quickly pulled these two Teams together and will have them ready to roll out the red carpet for all visitors beginning in February. This past Sunday and the upcoming Sunday, the elders and the coordinator for this visitor team will ensure visitors are welcomed, receive a visitor bag, and are invited to lunch.”

Abilene church of Christ, Statesville, North Carolina (remote): Gary Dull (evangelists) reports, “We have a new Bible study with a visitor who has been coming for several weeks now. This afternoon, we have a Bible study scheduled with a young man. This is his fifth study, and we are progressing. We have been blessed with an intern from the North Carolina School of Biblical Studies who can step in and take my place (who is in the hospital), along with a retired preacher and his wife, who are a great asset.”

Glendale Street church of Christ, Newton, North Carolina (remote): Dayle Taylor (minister) reports, “Two new visitors attended Sunday. They are the younger son of our two new converts, Lee and Mandi, and the son’s friend. Compassion cards will be sent to them this week. One prospect who is already studying BTTB has paused due to a serious illness in the family. Laken has stated she wants to resume at the earliest opportunity. We request prayers for this prospect that this interruption does not sway her determination from future studies. One transition visit was made last week, and the BTTB study started during the visit. David and Maria visited one of our members’ granddaughters, studied with her, and scheduled a continuing class set for later this week. They reported that she welcomed the study. One of our restored members who was away for years has consistently worshipped with us since her return. She is the sister of one of the new converts. I believe both the restored and new converts are encouraging each other by their consistent attendance. We appreciate all prayers for continued faithful growth with our brothers and sisters. Twenty-two compassion cards were sent last week.”

New Concord church of Christ, Ohio: Terry Townsend (preacher) reports, “We had one visitor Sunday. It was the second Sunday in a row that we presented an Apologetics Press Study Bible and a baptismal certificate to one of our recent converts. We also relaunched our New Converts class; it began on Sunday morning with several of our recent new converts in attendance. One of our newer members came to me and said he had started a Bible study with a couple of his neighbors and friends in his barn and asked if I would come and help out. We will be meeting later this week, and plans are to make this a once-a-week study. He suggested that I bring the Back to the Bible booklets and use those. A couple of sweet, dear sisters (sisters in Christ and biological sisters) opened their home last week to several of us in hopes of encouraging a young lady who attends but has not obeyed. They invited a few of us together for a meal and fellowship. These two sisters felt that this was one way they could get involved! It was an Acts 2:42ff kind of evening! I am excited about the renewed enthusiasm for our evangelistic efforts. Matthew 9:37-38 still holds true today, and the more we can get involved, the greater the harvest will be!”

East Sparta church of Christ, Magnolia, Ohio: Andrew Masterson (minister) reports, “We had several repeat visitors Sunday. We are working on turning them into strong prospects. We have a couple of Bible studies set up for this week. We are getting excited for Keno to bring our Continuing Education Workshop at the end of January. We are also finalizing a community event for March.”

Alkire Road church of Christ, Grove City, Ohio: Tony Dunnagan (member) reports, “We composed 131 compassion cards to be sent out this week. We have our food pantry this week, and this will provide us with opportunities to make contacts. We look forward to our continued education this weekend.”

Coweta church of Christ, Oklahoma: Keno Shrum (regional trainer) reports, “Thursday evening, Tim and Kylie joined Jamie and me for dinner and Lesson 3 of Back to the Bible. Before we started, Kylie recounted her conversion at a Baptist church, saying she had been saved before she was baptized. As we progressed through BTTB, she maintained she was saved until we broke down Romans 6:3-5. It was then that she realized the newness of life comes after the burial in water, not before. Moments later, she was being immersed and saved scripturally! Her husband Tim was baptized several years ago. He had fallen away for about three years, but he was recently restored! We are so happy for this family. Please keep them in prayer as they grow in Christ! We have also been building a relationship with a different Kylie that we met recently at a restaurant. We have sat in her section three times and have been continuing to grow our relationship through Gospel conversations. She stated last week that she will be visiting us for this Wednesday evening Bible Study.”

Marietta church of Christ, Oklahoma (remote): Chase Green (preacher) reports, “Last Wednesday night, after a devotional, I gave a lesson on ‘Three Common Excuses People Will Give on the Day of Judgment.’ A young man named Briggom responded to the invitation and obeyed the Gospel. He said he had been thinking about it for a long time and was ready to commit to being a Christian. We hope to have a renewed push for evangelism here in 2026. I am currently planning an evangelism class for the coming quarter, and I am hoping to gauge interest in the House to House online evangelism class on Tuesday nights as well. Lastly, I was encouraged to find out yesterday that one of our members is about to be teaching a New Converts class as well. I had mentioned in a sermon that we need one, and then an elder and another member let me know they were already on it! We appreciate all prayers for us here at Marietta. We have had some ups and downs the last couple of years, but I believe that we are ripe for growth!”

Owasso church of Christ, Oklahoma: David Combs(elder) reports, “Team 3 met last night following evening services to write compassion cards. Thirty-one cards were written by 15 card writers. We currently have two new prospects. We have one prospect in Week 3, and two are in Week 1.”

St. Andrews Road church of Christ, Columbia, South Carolina: Jamie Byron (preacher) reports, “We appointed and met with the coordinator for the visitor contacts. He is in the process of organizing who the door greeters and pew greeters will be, and he has a list from the seminar survey. On Sunday, we asked everyone to take out bookmarks, and we led a congregational prayer for those contacts. We had one person in the New Converts’ class and finished Chapter 3 of Growing in Christ.”

Covington church of Christ, Tennessee: Wayne Dalrymple (elder) reports, “We had several visitors on Sunday. One couple visited again; Jeff had studied with them in the past. They have paused the study for a while. We pray they will decide to resume it soon. I studied with Alex again on Sunday morning during the Bible class period. We finished Book 1 of BTTB and began Book 2. He and his family will possibly move in the next few months due to his job situation. I hope to finish the study before that time. I was also privileged to preach Sunday morning and evening at Covington. On Sunday evening, we showed the 2025 results video just before my sermon. I then preached on ‘Each One Bring One’ from John 1:35-46. I reminded the congregation about the various resources we have to help us reach our relatives, friends, and neighbors with the Gospel. I challenged us with a goal of 20 baptisms and five restorations this year. With God’s help, we can reach these goals.”

New Union church of Christ, Manchester, Tennessee: Paul Fultz (elder) reports, “We had nine visitors. Our members turned in four contacts to begin prospecting. We filled out 27 compassion cards. Our transition team made five visits.”

Southern Hills church of Christ, Franklin, Tennessee: Fredrick Klein (preacher) reports, “We have not been here long, but we know evangelism is our path forward. Although the congregation was trained a couple of years ago, we have not fully implemented the model and would like a refresh. We have asked Keno Shrum if he could come and lead us in continuing education. We are excited about our future.”

West Fayetteville church of Christ, Tennessee: Steve Jefferson (elder) reports, “We appreciate the training options to the website. As of yesterday morning, Compassion Card Team 2 sent out 20 cards to two contacts. We also have one prospect in a Bible study.”

White Bluff church of Christ, Tennessee: Shamron Jackson (elder) reports, “We signed 190 cards to go out this week. We were able to visit with four prospects on Sunday afternoon, which resulted in one study scheduled. We had seven visitors. We had some training for our door greeters and pew greeters, as well as transition visit training. We could use more people willing to do transition visits. We have 19 to visit. We are praying for more workers.”

Freewill church of Christ, Gainesboro, Tennessee (remote): Andrew Scott (preacher) reports, “We have sent out more compassion cards and had returning visitors. I hope to begin a Bible study this Saturday with one of our long-term visitors. He is the husband of one of our members who has never obeyed the Gospel. We plan to have lunch, and then we hope to make a smooth transition to the study. Does it Matter? will be our study guide. We appreciate all prayers. To God be the Glory.”

Cookeville church of Christ, Tennessee: Joshua Kennedy (preacher) reports, “We are sending out 25 cards this week. As we set up visits with five people, we hope we can move on to scheduling studies. We have no current Bible studies, but we are working on changing that soon!”

West Sparta church of Christ, Tennessee: Justin Turney (deacon) reports, “We started a new Bible study last week with one of our prospects! We currently have four Bible studies that are taking place. We continue to add prospects and send cards each week.”

Arlington church of Christ, Tennessee: Brandon Tibbits (preacher) reports, “We have had a constant stream of studies! Last night we had three Bible studies! We are finishing the final Bible study with two people, and we have another two that are ongoing. Yesterday we had 54 people in services, with our entire youth group missing! We have gained ten or more people since December, and they are hungry for the Gospel!”

Chapel Hill church of Christ, Tennessee: Matt Jones (deacon) reports, “We added another sister in Christ this past Wednesday. She has been going through a Bible study with one of our members. We still have several other studies ongoing, and we pray for each one of these to open the door for the Word.”

Mountain Creek church of Christ, Chattanooga, Tennessee: Michael Tomshack (elder) reports, “We recently welcomed a new brother and a restored sister into the church family. Gary Massey has been guiding a young adult couple who began visiting us after moving into the apartments adjacent to our building. Gary led them through the Back to the Bible lessons, providing an in-depth teaching that was necessary before the young man’s baptism. While an accepted practice by an increasing number of individuals, addressing this issue was crucial for repentance. The discussion was direct, with questions requiring answers from God’s word rather than human will. Fortunately, the issue was addressed, and we are grateful for this outcome. This couple will now be equipped to address similar issues with others as we extend our outreach to share the Gospel with individuals of all ages. This marks our third baptism and first restoration for 2026, bringing our total to four baptisms and restorations toward our objective of at least twelve.”

McEwen church of Christ, Tennessee: John Jones (preacher) reports, “A new class of linemen has started, and we will have at least four tonight. Then tomorrow morning, my family leaves for a mission trip to New Zealand. The congregation here will keep up the linemen studies while we are away. We appreciate all prayers for these efforts.”

Soddy Daisy church of Christ, Tennessee: Joe Mallory (preacher) reports, “Over the past couple of weeks, we have met several new visitors who have attended our Bible study period and worship assemblies. We have been able to get their contact information and begin to get to know and minister to them. We began a Bible study with Tyler, our friend whom we met last week. We pray for him as we continue to study with him in the next few weeks! Care Team 3 met on Sunday and will mail out compassion cards this week to those on our contact list, which is composed from visitors who came to services. Many of them are struggling, and some are wayward. We praise God for all blessings and continue to strive to seek the lost and share good tidings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

Collierville church of Christ, Tennessee: Justin Evergarden (evangelist) reports, “We had two visitors, made three visits, mailed 125 cards, and identified eight prospects. It has been an encouraging start to the year, and we are hopeful for continued growth as we move forward. We are thankful for the opportunities God is providing and are excited to see how the work develops in the coming weeks.”

Hillcrest church of Christ, Springfield, Tennessee: Tim Taylor (evangelist) reports, “We now have three men from our congregation who have made the commitment to train to be Gospel preachers at Bear Valley in Colorado. Tyler is midway through his first year, and Matthew and Wesley have just started their first classes. We look forward to seeing their growth in the coming days and years! The emphasis on evangelism at Hillcrest continues to bear fruit!”

Birdwell Chapel church of Christ, Cottontown, Tennessee: Kerry England (elder) reports, “Our youth group assembled over 180 food bags to be distributed Saturday. This will be advertised on social media beginning next week. Besides this being a benevolent ministry, we will be making more contacts for our evangelism program. On Sunday morning, we had a young couple visit. We have one Bible study scheduled this week.”

Rivergate church of Christ, Madison, Tennessee: Doug Tooley (preacher) reports, “We had two visitors on Wednesday night. We had seven visitors on Sunday morning. One was taken to lunch. One visitor got into a discussion about baptism with one of our greeters. She could not go to lunch, but she says she is interested in further study. We had one visitor on Sunday night who attended our youth devotional. Two visits were made last week.”

North Jefferson church of Christ, Mt. Pleasant, Texas: Davin Whatley (evangelist) reports, “The Continued Education Workshop with Keno Shrum this past weekend was a blessing for our congregation and others in so many ways. In addition to being scriptural, the lessons were engaging, practical, and motivational. Members at North Jefferson have been talking about how much they enjoyed it, and men from area congregations are eager to learn more about House to House as well. Our brethren and leadership were encouraged greatly, and we are excited to put what we learned into our refocused evangelism efforts. Moving forward, we will be doing things better and more efficiently in our outreach because of the continued education we received. While we have done well to remain stocked with Back to the Bible, we will do a better job of keeping additional supplies and resources on hand to aid our efforts. From the pulpit, we will be preaching through the School of Evangelism material again, and we will look over how we are sending out House to House and make the necessary changes to put it to use properly. Our compassion card program will receive a much-needed restructure and reorganization, and we will soon begin planning congregational training for our members interested in Bible studies, pew greeting, and door-knocking. Concerning continued education, we will also begin looking into who we can send to attend the AMC campaign coming to Roanoke in June. We at North Jefferson are eager to use what we have learned to better reach our visitors and to reach our former members who have wandered away. While you always hope that the message is hitting home with the members, I was blessed to see confirmation of that from one of our new converts. Connor was baptized in August, and he has been faithfully attending with the help of members picking him up for services. While taking Connor home after Keno’s lessons on Saturday, a Basset Hound ran out in front of me on the highway. I did my best to avoid it, but I sadly still hit the dog going somewhere between 45 and 50 mph. Thankfully, it survived, but it looked very hurt, and I was scared it would soon pass. Connor and I managed to alert the owners in the nearby home, and they took Lucy (the dog) to the emergency clinic. After we left, Connor said, “Maybe we can visit them and bring them a basket,” just like Keno had talked about in the door-knocking/new-movers session. I said that was a great idea! Not knowing if Lucy had survived, we visited on Monday evening with a card, some homemade bread, and a candle. The family opened the door and was happy to see us! It turns out that Lucy had not only survived but was doing really well despite everyone’s (even the vet’s) expectations. We then had a lengthy conversation in which we discovered that their son, Jeff, is having severe health complications. He is going on our compassion card list. We will come back soon with a bag for Lucy, and we look forward to following up with the Tobin family. Lord willing, this originally bad situation will work together for good and for the salvation of souls. Please keep the Tobins and Jeff in your prayers.

Southwest church of Christ, Austin, Texas: Bryce Mayfield (evangelist) reports, “On Friday, we had an evangelism work morning. We knocked 246 doors; we had 46 answers and made five hot contacts. We are beginning follow-up work on these people this week. We also prepared 49 visitor bags and 24 new mover gifts. We wrote 127 cards, and we are beginning to send them in batches starting this week. We currently have five Bible studies ongoing, and each is going well. We are thankful for the work and opportunities we have ahead of us. May God be glorified in all these things!”

Wheeler church of Christ, Texas: Garrett English (preacher) reports, “The church has been especially good the past month at sending cards and personal invitations to our grief workshop this weekend. I believe we will have many opportunities to water the seeds planted in the past and plant new ones.
I plan to preach on evangelism in two weeks as part of the first Sunday series. I pray it will remind the church of our purpose.”

Howe church of Christ, Texas: Aaron Alsbrook (preacher) reports, “Our visitor coordinators have continued to schedule all volunteers and coordinate training. Our gift bag coordinator has made some wonderful bags to give to visitors; we shared them with two visitors this past Lord’s Day. We love the Lord and His ways; we are sharing His goodness with those that may not know Him and encouraging those that do as we continue to grow at Howe.”

Eisenhower church of Christ, Odessa, Texas: Allen Weakland (elder) reports, “We have increased our efforts in reaching out to those who have wandered away from the fold. Sunday evening saw our congregation writing numerous cards to encourage wanderers to remember their first love and to tell them that they are loved, wanted, and needed in the Kingdom. Included in this effort was an evangelistic outreach to the Tippen family, who are well-known in our community. They recently lost their son on January 8. This young man was a classmate of one of the preacher training students we help support, who is presently attending Southwest School of Preaching. Andy Reyes is an outstanding young man and is fully committed to reaching out to the lost. After Andy informed us of this loss, we immediately added this family to our card signing to express our sorrow in their present loss. Pray for this family. With our recent conversions, our New Converts class has reached a number that makes it necessary to move rooms.  This is really exciting and yet humbling because it shows that the mission set before us is never a finished product once someone is converted. It is our prayer that God will bless our efforts, resulting in stronger members and greater dedication to our Mission. May God be praised.”

Colleyville church of Christ, Texas: John Garza (regional trainer) reports, “Currently, we have five Bible studies taking place— possibly another scheduled for this week. We have 11—possibly 12—solid prospects right now. We have really hit it hard with the new convert program, and we are planning for a spring community evangelism event!”

Roanoke church of Christ, Texas: Caleb Rutherford (preacher) reports, “I am reminded of Paul’s words in Galatians 6:9, and his admonition to not grow weary in doing good. We are continuing to write compassion cards to prospects. Transition visits were assigned over the weekend, and we are gearing up for our first Impact Sunday of the year, next Sunday.”

Northern Oaks church of Christ, San Antonio, Texas: Mel Hutzler (elder) reports, “We rejoice in two baptisms. Pam Kuhn was baptized on Wednesday. Joe Bentley studied with her. Then on Sunday, Jackson McIver was baptized. Richard Medley and Mel studied with him. This week we went out several times. We implemented the following door-knocking techniques: Follow-up, House-to-House magazine method, canvassing, prayer method, and new mover’s basket. We continue to study with three people. We also have seven new conversion studies.”

Seagoville church of Christ, Texas: Kodie Martin (evangelist) reports, “We began Back to the Bible Book 2 this week as a congregation. Everyone has been on board and encouraged by the lessons. We have also had some new visitors, and it has been encouraging to see members take the initiative to produce contact cards. Lastly, one of our prospects, Karen, has recently returned after a hospital stay. She has been overjoyed with the cards, and we know this will turn into a study going forward.”

Bridge Avenue church of Christ, Weslaco, Texas: Braulio Carvajal III (preacher) reports, “This week, we sent out 100 cards to contacts. We had a couple who transitioned from prospects into a Bible study. We now have four ongoing Bible studies. We continued our new converts’ Bible studies and had a total of 14 in attendance this week. On Sunday morning, we had three new visitors. Each one completed contact cards and provided them with gift bags. We also had a family who had visited off and on over the last three months place membership this past Sunday evening.”

Bridgewater church of Christ, Katy, Texas: Doug Suggs (deacon) reports, “On Thursday, Wade and I will have our third study with Bernadette. She has been a good student and has seen some things other churches have done that are not according to the scriptures. She was impressed that we would take the time to teach her these things. We ask for prayers regarding her commitment to Jesus this Thursday. The New Movers group met Sunday evening and prepared to send packets to the people who have moved into 66 homes. We continue to respond to our visitors who come to worship with us.”

Williamsburg church of Christ, Virginia: Jim Bishop (elder) reports, “This week the ‘door knocking’ team met to identify key dates in the next few months that we will conduct door knocking. We also identified times we could visit a living assisted facility to conduct a devotion with singing. We will also meet some of those who cannot leave their rooms. This also provides us with an opportunity to talk with caretakers. During our midweek Bible study, we watched the latest evangelism tips entitled ‘Results Matter – 25.’ We have a new compassion card coordinator and are working with her and the team to organize the team and increase involvement from the congregation. We pray for all those working to spread the Gospel.”

West Side church of Christ, Salem, Virginia: Jeff Durham (elder) reports, “As we began our afternoon service yesterday, we rejoiced with a young man who submitted his life to Christ, being added to the church by our Lord in baptism! He is the nephew of one of our families. His parents are not members, but they have been attending recently. This young man attended our area Christian camp last summer. Our youth group has been an encouragement to him along the way. We look forward to watching him grow in knowledge and service in the days and years to come.”

Lupelele church of Christ, American Samoa: Scott Broughton (missionary), “Last week, we had one ongoing study on Tuesday. We completed the first book of the Back to the Bible study series during that session. The next study is scheduled for Tuesday, January 20, at 4:00 p.m. On Wednesday of last week, Luaao Soli, Jr., had lunch with a couple who are neighbors near the church building. He invited them to start a study, which they accepted. This is also scheduled for Tuesday at noon.”
