Glencoe church of Christ, Alabama: Keith Ritchie (evangelist) reports, “The Glencoe congregation is having a busy June thus far with the Jamaican mission (with well over 100 studies and eight baptisms) and giving way to our kids and some adults attending Bible camp. Then yesterday, after the afternoon worship, we delivered new movers’ bags and made contacts. Glencoe also had two restorations and a sister placing membership with us. Our VBS is a little over a week away (June 24-26), with Greg Dismuke teaching the adult class each night. Our evangelism teams are gearing up to do some wonderful works. We will keep teaching and spreading the gospel of Christ and reaching the lost.”
Hatton church of Christ, Town Creek, Alabama: Chris Miller (preacher) reports, “We had a new visitor Sunday, and I overheard some young adults invite him to lunch after morning service. This kind of thing happens all the time, and we know it has been a big part of our recent conversions. It is been a team effort at Hatton, and we continue to see the fruit of everyone doing their part.”
Creekwood church of Christ, Mobile, Alabama: Tucker Presley (preacher) reports, “David and I recently had a good discussion and study with a regular visitor. We are hoping she chooses to give her life to Christ soon. One Bible study continues. We have had a steady number of visitors with us recently. We are not always great at getting their contact information, but we try to do so and add them to the compassion card list. Compassion cards continue to go out each week. New movers’ work continues. We are looking into sending out an edition of House to House soon.”
Central church of Christ, Saraland, Alabama: Steve Jernigan (elder) reports, “Another soul was added to the church Sunday evening. Emily, the daughter of Rebecca, was baptized Sunday evening at 7:00 after services. David Dixon explained the purpose of baptism and the path to get to this point. Emily understood and put Christ on in baptism. Rebecca, being the mother she needed to be, led by example by being a faithful member of the Lord’s church, with Patrick helping along the way. Please pray for Emily as she starts her walk with Christ.”
Canal Heights church of Christ, Demopolis, Alabama: David Stephens (elder) reports, “Canal Heights was well represented at the Alabama School of Healthcare Sciences (ASHS) June 10 Meet and Greet orientation event. Ten students, along with their parents, stopped by the church event table and willingly left contact information. We passed out our church information and the pamphlet, ‘What to Expect When Visiting the Church of Christ.’ Our Compassion Card teams will be sending Encouraging and/or Thinking of You cards to each student with a personal invitation to attend services upon beginning their journey in the health care profession.”
Harrisburg church of Christ, Arkansas: Mark Weston (elder) reports, “In our summary report last Tuesday, I explained how emotionally drained we had become because of all the deaths we had experienced in the last five weeks. Things have settled down, and some encouraging things have happened this week to give our hearts a boost and brighten our days. Even though our losses are still very much on our minds, we enjoyed a VBS on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed the children and adults who came out. Our theme was “Anchored in the Storm,” and all those who worked so hard to get this organized should certainly be commended. From the decorations, to registration, to snacks and lunch, to games and skits, to crafts and story time, it all came together, and the children had a wonderful day of learning. Since the auditorium was still decorated with a huge boat, out of which Jesus stilled the storm, we went ahead and had Brock present that same lesson to our assembly on Sunday morning. On Sunday afternoon, our compassion Team 2 met and wrote 50 cards to be mailed this week. We have solicited other contacts from the congregation and hope to have those turned in by this coming Sunday. Our program seems to be going smoothly, and we are working through small issues and becoming very comfortable with how things are supposed to happen. We continue to have several visitors every week, and we are hoping very soon to generate some Bible studies from them. Cards are continuing to make a difference in the lives of the recipients, and our members are getting more comfortable understanding their purpose. I have noticed an increase in the number of visits our members are making and am excited that we are becoming more comfortable in speaking more openly about Jesus with our neighbors and friends. Our invitation cards came in a week ago, and people seem to be handing them out to people they contact throughout the week. We do not have any working Bible studies right now, but as I said earlier, we are very hopeful. Today, we had the wonderful privilege of honoring one of our older ladies who now resides in the local nursing home on her 100th birthday. She had a wonderful day, and many of our congregation showed up to pay their respects on this special day. I know it made her family happy to see all of her church family there. We generated some contacts from our VBS Saturday, and we hope to start some compassion cards and maybe some visits directly tied to the VBS. We are learning to use all our activities and events to generate contacts and are excited to see where that might lead. It would be nice to report two or three new converts, but we are learning patience as we work this program. We plant the seed, do what we can to cultivate those hearts, and let God give the increase. We are definitely growing spiritually as a body, and this inward growth will most definitely spawn outward growth. We are so blessed and so grateful to be a part of God’s family.”
Petersville church of Christ, Alabama: Adam Richardson (preacher) reports, “The Petersville family sent 24 compassion cards this week, and we are in full swing for VBS Monday through Wednesday. We have plans to get contact information from parents and follow up with those interested!”
Cedar Grove church of Christ, Andalusia, Alabama: Josh Halloway (preacher) reports, “We are continuing to work several of our evangelism programs. This week, we will be sending out 68 cards. This brings the total for June to 144 and the grand total to 5,431.”
Northside church of Christ, Harrison, Arkansas: Larry Keener (elder) reports, “Last week, Northside focused on VBS and our evangelism with that effort. On Sunday, we started to identify additional contacts. Card ministry is growing each week, and our Sunday nights continue to train. Visitor training and baskets are now complete. We continue to pray for our efforts to God’s glory.”
Bergman church of Christ, Harrison, Arkansas: Vince Stewart (preacher) reports, “This week we sent out another 20 cards, 10/prospect. The time has come to make the visits this Thursday. We started working on the New Movers program, tomorrow my wife and I will try to contact three prospects close to our home. Yesterday in Bible class, we went over quantity, not quality.”
Concord Street church of Christ, Orlando, Florida: Billy Dickson (evangelist) reports, “Please join us in praying for the nine ongoing Bible studies currently taking place. Last Sunday, we launched our New Converts Class and were encouraged to have two new converts attend. We have also paired our new converts with mentors to help strengthen and support them in their walk with Christ. We have also organized the congregation into five Compassion Card Teams. Each Sunday, one team gathers for approximately 20 minutes to write cards to prospects, visitors, and others in need of encouragement. In addition, we have appointed a coordinator who will begin training our Transition Team to visit prospects and follow up with those who have expressed interest in studying God’s Word. We are excited to begin congregational training in the Back to the Bible program in two weeks and look forward to the opportunities it will create for evangelism and more Bible studies.”
Niceville church of Christ, Florida: Joe Palmer (preacher) reports, “This week we had a visitor return to worship and ask us to help with a wedding. I plan to set up a study as we plan the wedding. We are starting to have a few new visitors who are moving into our community. We had four new visitors this week for a total of seven visitors. I am still being slowed by my back. I need to get relief from this soon, as I need to work with a lot of prospects. We have two studies ongoing at this time.”
Margaret Street church of Christ, Milton, Florida: Troy Spradlin (preacher) reports, “Teen Camp Week went even better than we had hoped and prayed for! Twelve young people, from across seven congregations, gave their lives to Jesus this past week—the most there have been in a very long time! To God be the glory! The adult staff was well-trained in evangelism and ready to help our youth fully understand the decision they were making, and to ensure it was based on Scripture and sound reasoning, not just emotion. Of the twelve, two of our own, Paxton Fletcher and Libby Makar, were immersed for the forgiveness of their sins and are now walking in newness of life! In addition, we received eleven new contacts from our Pantry Ministry and had many new visitors this past Sunday. Now we have a lot more prospecting to do. God is so good! Our total 2026 Accountability Board numbers are: 159 Contacts Received; 100 Neighbors (Prospects); 603 Compassion Cards sent; 20 Bible studies; one Restoration, and eight Baptisms.”
Milestone church of Christ, Cantonment, Florida: Randy Brantley (elder) reports, “We are sending out 30 compassion cards this week. Last week, our children made and sent cards to a boy who had his tonsils taken out. His mother called and said he was very excited to get the cards, and as soon as he is able, they will be visiting with us. Clint, a man with whom one of our members has been studying for years, and whom I have been texting since February, received cards encouraging him to keep up his good work studying. He let me know how impressed he was with the cards, and he said he will be visiting with us soon.”
Cartersville church of Christ, Georgia (remote): Charles Harris (regional trainer) reports, “A couple of months ago, I happened to see Tristan make a post on Facebook asking for support in quitting smoking. I messaged her, letting her know that growing closer to God helps me make difficult changes. After a few weeks of offering encouragement, she asked for Bible study. Studying Back to the Bible with her has been a joy for Anna and me. Tristan has a tender heart. We appreciate prayers for her as she grows in the faith.”
Woodstock church of Christ, Georgia: Matt Amos (preacher) reports, “Woodstock Church of Christ (WCOC) and the Sunabella Assisted Living Facility devotional had approximately seven non-Christians at the devotional on Sunday. The New Movers Door Knocking Campaign knocked on four doors and made one contact. The HTH Door Knocking campaign knocked on thirty doors and made four contacts. The Compassion Group sent out eighteen cards this week. We had eight visitors this past Sunday. WCOC had ten Bible studies last week.”
Gray church of Christ, Georgia (remote): Keith Dixon (preacher) reports, “We sent 27 cards this week. We are appreciative of those who are supporting us. We still need some support. We also now have eight prospects. Thanks for your work, and to God be the glory.”
North Park church of Christ in Machesney Park, Illinois (remote): “We added two new Christians this week. Malachi and Kaleb Fredricks are brothers ages 16 and 18. Their mother, Melissa was baptized a couple of months ago. Kaleb, who is 18, will be serving in the U.S. Army later this year. We request prayers for him. Both young men are so kind and polite. They were baptized as infants and learned the truth using BTTB. They were baptized Saturday, June 13. We love studying with precious souls.”
Collinsville-Troy church of Christ, Illinois: Jason Wright (evangelist) reports, “We mailed 159 compassion cards. We conducted five Bible studies. I concluded a 28-week study in the Acts workbook with one of our new Christians. I am studying this same book with four others. On Saturday morning, we followed up in a local town to which we have been sending HTH every month this year. Thirteen of us knocked on 128 doors, talked to 33 people, and made eight contacts. We have learned that Saturday mornings are not the best times for door knocking. In our area, Tuesday and Friday evenings are quite good. I will be teaching Evangelism class #3 this week with the middle school-high school students. It has been well supported. Then, I will go to AMC Roanoke.”
Columbus church of Christ, Kansas: Matt Fowler (member) reports, “We had a big week this past week. I was in Beloit coaching in the KS 8-man football All Star game, and I was able to meet with Brother Dustin Dougherty. It was very encouraging to meet and share with one another. Beth and I have been studying with Jake and Paige, and they surprised us on Sunday by visiting the church. They stayed for the fellowship meal and came back to our house for Book 3 of Back to the Bible Study. Their hearts were pricked with the truth. We used the supplemental bookmark in our study as they are living together. They know what they need to do, but they need some time to sort out their situation, and then they will be baptized. Please be praying for them that the devil does not snatch the seed. We also lost a faithful brother in Christ this past week, Brother Doyle Crane. We rejoice in his victory and have written his family compassion cards. Chris and Laura also delivered two new mover’s baskets. We appreciate continued prayers for our efforts as we pray others!”
15th Street church of Christ, Ottawa, Kansas (remote): Brady Altic (associate minister) reports, “Our brother Clayton is studying with Emma and Edwin. They have completed Lesson 2 and are planning Lesson 3 of Back to the Bible on Friday. We are sending more compassion cards out this week. We are also doing transition visits with Audra and Juanita this week. We were not able to do the third lesson with Quinn last week. We rescheduled, and hopefully we can get it done this week. Prayers are appreciated and needed for ongoing studies and our congregation as we stay steadfast in this work for the Lord.”
Spring Creek church of Christ, Hickory, Kentucky: David Morse (elder) reports, “Greetings from the Spring Creek congregation. We are in the process of organizing a team of our members to serve as a congregational ‘Encouragement / Cheer Team.’ We have several members who have strong interpersonal skills in relating to members of our congregation on a personal level. These members are in various age groups. One couple in our congregation will serve as the group leader. This group will meet regularly to fellowship and encourage one another in evangelism. The goal of this group will be to uplift and encourage our members and engage them on a personal level to obtain contacts for our evangelism efforts. While it is great to engage the congregation as a whole, we hope that a more personal approach and personal relationships will help us generate more prospects. We had one transition visit this week, during which the couple agreed to a Bible study. This couple from our community visited with us a few weeks ago. Our numbers this week include: Visitors – 20, Prospects – 15, Cards – 2,445, Bible studies – None (two -pending), Baptisms – five, Baptism Goal – seven.”
Central church of Christ, Paducah, Kentucky: Adam Faughn (elder) reports, “We had VBS last week, and all went well. We did not have quite as many guests from the community as we would have liked, but we are following up with those we had and are hoping for open doors. This week, we are taking one evening to meet with all our evangelism area coordinators to do some training and make sure we are all focused on our goal of reaching the lost in our area. Over the next few weeks, we will be reorganizing teams so that people can stop working in areas they might be tired of and start working in new areas for the coming school year. We are praying that these efforts help us be more efficient and effective in saving souls.”
Carriage Oaks church of Christ, Bossier City, Louisiana: Andrew Wynn (preacher) reports, “Last Wednesday, a number of our members filled out cards for the visitors we had on 6/7. This past Sunday (6/14) was very encouraging. We had several visitors, including some who were returning visitors. We collected information from three new visitors. I preached Part 2 of the John 4 sermon. We have ongoing Bible studies. The motivation and work ethic is high at Carriage Oaks. We appreciate prayers as we go step by step in the School of Evangelism, that we would glorify God in our efforts to reach the lost and that souls would be saved.”
Gonzales church of Christ, Louisiana: Ben Vallery (deacon) reports, “Visitors: 10, Visits Made: six, Cards signed: 24, Prospects/Neighbors: seven, Bible studies: seven, Baptisms: three, 2026 Baptism goal: 20. Our new converts classes continue on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings.”
Waldorf church of Christ, Maryland: Joseph Day (member) reports, “I will be out of town soon, but I have asked Eric Day to provide weekly updates while I am gone. On June 14, we had five visitors. We will continue the porch visits with the prospects gained during AMC. One Bible study is underway, and so far we have three brothers taking the lead of three of the circles in the congregational Evangelism model.”
La Plata church of Christ, Maryland: Eric Sykes (regional trainer) reports, “All is going well. This week, the saints of the La Plata Church of Christ wrote 126 compassion cards. We delivered two new mover baskets, and we made nine transition visits. We also delivered one correspondence course that was requested by one of the AMC contacts. He thanked us and said that he and his wife will be coming to visit the congregation soon. We had five visitors; two visitors came after we delivered the New Mover’s Gift Baskets. One visitor was from our transition team visits, and another visitor came as a result of our HTH/HTH newsletter. The fifth visitor came as a result from an invitation card I gave her outside the Dollar Tree. She saw me wearing a ‘School of Evangelism’ Polo Shirt, and she asked me about the school. So, I told her a little about the school. She asked me if our church taught straight from the Bible and if we helped folks in need. I said yes and told her that she should “come and see,” and she did. The saints of the La Plata church of Christ did what saints of the Lord’s church are supposed to do. They showed her the love of Christ, and she was blown away. She said she had never met a group of people so kind and caring before. She said, “I will definitely visit again.” We are super excited about the community’s response to our evangelism efforts. We still have several open Bible studies. We appreciate all prayers as we continue to evangelize our community here in Southern Maryland.”
Oak Grove church of Christ, Missouri: David Wiseman (elder) reports, “We had a good and busy week. The best news ever happened on Sunday morning as we had a baptism from one of our Bible studies. The family has recently been attending services. Lots of follow-up from our week of Vacation Bible School has been going on. Our new mover carrier routes have yielded a larger-than-normal number of movers. We sent 25 cards to new movers last week. At Sunday morning services, we had one visitor. One of our compassion card team members sent out 21 compassion cards. We continue to work through the training program. From the pulpit, we are in Back to the Bible Lesson 3. Our congregation has definitely benefited from studying those lessons.”
Iuka church of Christ, Mississippi: Sam Glover (preacher) reports, “Here in Iuka, there is much to be thankful for. While I was away assisting evangelism efforts in south Mississippi, the members at Iuka continued to work. As a result, a lady was baptized and we had a renewed commitment to working in the community. We have had three new families visiting with us within the past few weeks. Also, we have had several new volunteers step up to work this summer. Even when the work is slow going, it is encouraging to see that people are not giving up.”
Fulton church of Christ, Mississippi: Matt Thigpen (preacher) reports, “We are still sending cards to at least five people a week. We are getting a great response from those who are receiving the cards. We have had a consistent number of visitors over the last month. We are currently working to get our coordinators set and getting our various groups up and running, so that we can continue this great work.”
Plainview church of Christ, Mississippi: Tom House (preacher) reports, “Things continue to be busy here. Even from our small number, over 180 cards have been sent. Next week, we will begin training for the transition phase.”
Aberdeen church of Christ, Mississippi: Jonathan Hagar (preacher) reports, “Last week, some visitors asked to be placed as members at the Aberdeen Church of Christ. They are already Christians, so we are excited to have them and excited to see what work they can contribute. We had three visitors this past Sunday. Two of the visitors were a husband and wife who had been to the community fish fry we hosted. We had spoken to them before. They told me that they were having spiritual concerns about their son, so I told them we would try to help them. We talked some more this Sunday after services. I told them that the church would take them and their son out to eat this Tuesday, and then we can all go back to the building and open the Bible together. The dad was especially excited about going out to eat! Eating is definitely a great start to a Bible study. We also continue to do our bookmarks after each sermon. We got two contact cards this past Sunday. The new converts’ class continues to go well. We have even started having it on Wednesday night to help accommodate the new converts’ work schedules. I have attached the current metrics for the year. We are averaging over 100 cards a month, about baptism a month, one door knocking per month, three visitations per week, and one Bible study per week since the beginning of the year. I think those are great averages! The work here continues to thrive after a year since the initial seminar!”
Concord church of Christ, New Hampshire (remote): Terry Hale (evangelist) reports, “We request prayers for a study that has just begun in Book 1 of Back to the Bible. We also have a prospect that should begin a study soon. The new convert class is going well with four in class. We are training this week with many new members learning the model and the way to become soul winners. Other members are sharpening skills to become teachers.”
Goldsboro church of Christ, North Carolina: Dennis Mays (elder) reports, “This Sunday evening, a mother and son visited with us. Someone had told them they should visit Oak Forest, though we do not know who referred them. Both were glad they came and said they plan to return. They are not members, but they seemed to enjoy the lesson and the friendliness of those they met. They were unable to go out to supper with us that evening, but said they would like to do so in the future. She gave us her address and asked to be added to our prayer list. Please pray as we reach out to this family, get to know them, and hopefully begin a fruitful Bible study. On Sunday afternoon, the Compassion Card group completed 88 cards for those who have requested prayers. Please pray that these contacts become prospects and, eventually, our brothers and sisters in Christ. I have registered our congregation for the September door-knocking day. We are also looking to develop some community events we can be involved in.
Abilene Church of Christ, Statesville, North Carolina: Gary Dull (minister) reports, “We continue to work the programs. We continue to have visitors. Romans 15:13 overflows with hope. We have appointed one person as a coordinator for this work. He is working on it daily. Our 20 people who make up our congregation are all working on it. We have watched the videos. We are reminded of it at every service. We have two people who have been in Bible studies. We took a month’s break due to vacations and started back the last week of June. We have gone through Back to the Bible and Does It Matter and our next step is Vital Fundamentals by Jerry Frazier, co-authored by Hugo McCord. We have found this book to be helpful in the past. Terry Hale, HTHSOE Ambassador, has been in and out with us for the past three months, and we greatly appreciate his help.”
Glendale Street church of Christ, Newton, North Carolina (remote): Dayle Taylor (minister) reports, “Prospects: Several neighbors have visited following our door-knocking campaigns on May 31 and June 6 in preparation for the ongoing Gospel Meeting. One returning visitor expressed interest in learning more about the church, though he has not yet committed to a specific date. I plan to make a follow-up visit to his home, as cards have already been sent. Studies are continuing with the couple who completed Believe the Bible. David is now working with them in Back to the Bible. In addition, David’s relatives, Fred and Connie, have begun studies in Back to the Bible. Jerry Smith is currently in the third book of Back to the Bible. Terry Benton is another prospect engaged in a study using Back to the Bible. New Converts: Our new converts continue to attend worship and Bible study faithfully and are actively participating. Restorations: Two of our restored sisters are attending faithfully, though one is dealing with illness. A restored brother has struggled with attendance over the past two weeks. Visitor Follow-Up: Sixty-five compassion cards were sent during this reporting period, reflecting the contacts made during our door-knocking campaign.”
Alkire Road church of Christ, Grove City, Ohio: Tony Dunnagan (member) reports, “We had 20 visitors, 19 of whom are family of members visiting or ones we already have contact cards from. The one new visitor provided a contact card. We have four ongoing Bible studies, and we are still making transition visits from the last transition list.”
Coweta church of Christ, Oklahoma: Keno Shrum (regional trainer) reports: “Jamie and I have enjoyed being home this week as we have been having our VBS at Coweta. We have gained new contacts from parents dropping off their kids. We had approximately 35 in attendance at VBS Sunday and 50 on Monday at the time of this report. We will start mailing Compassion Cards on Sunday. We also had a visitor a few weeks ago, the mother of a member. She is not a Christian but attends a denomination. She was overwhelmed with love from the Compassion Cards she received after visiting. Last week, Jamie and I took her and her husband out to dinner. We had a great visit and worked toward building a relationship. She had a bad experience in the church of Christ as a child during the era we often refer to as the ‘turn or burn’ era. However, she has really enjoyed her experience visiting over the past few weeks. She has also attended every night of our VBS so far and commented that she has really enjoyed the adult class. On Monday night, we presented her with a study Bible from Apologetics Press. We will work hard in the upcoming weeks to transition her into a Bible study.”
Owasso church of Christ, Oklahoma: David Combs (elder) reports, “We wrapped up a three-day Continued Education Workshop with Keno Shrum. Keno taught our Adult Bible class on Visitors/ Greeters, including how to greet visitors and lead them effectively into a Bible study. He preached two excellent sermons! He preached our morning sermon, “New Testament Evangelism, which focused on the divine mandate to reach lost souls given in the New Testament to all Christians. The evening sermon was ‘Moving Members Toward the Mission.’ How do we find the motivation to fulfill our role in evangelism? The Sunday evening breakout session was on ‘Transition visits,’ including how to make follow up visits after Compassion Cards have been sent. These visits are crucial to the success of the compassion card process. On Monday, 6:00 p.m., the lesson was “Contacts, Contacts, Contacts.” We considered suggestions for a variety of ways to produce contacts. At 7:00 p.m., the lesson was “Counting the Cost.” Our responsibility is to fulfill the Great Commission and the great reward that results. We received a lot of good instruction and information. We cleared up some mistakes we have made and how to improve in some areas. It was DEFINITELY worth the time. Group 2 met last night after services, and 13 writers wrote 81 compassion cards to be mailed out this week.”
Barnes church of Christ, Oklahoma: John Bellah (member) reports, “On Sunday, Gary Henson finished preaching about Book 2 of the Back to the Bibleseries. We have had several visitors over the last few weeks, including some who are members and others who were invited by members. We have had a couple of visitors who have returned a few times, and we are sending them cards, hoping they will be open to a Bible study soon. We are continuing to pray as a congregation for our lost friends and family and looking for new ways to reach them.”
Grove church of Christ, Oklahoma: Juan Jarmillo (preacher) reports, “We have sent a total of 45 cards to our prospects until now; this does not include this Sunday’s make-up day we had. We have slowed down on prospects, but we have been asking members to look for opportunities in the community. We are planning to visit our prospects who have received our cards. We need to make nine visits. We appreciate all prayers for these efforts!”
Guymon church of Christ, Oklahoma: Chandler Henderson (preacher) reports, “Last week we had our second lesson in Book 3 on ‘What Must I Do to be Saved?’ This coming week, we will be studying ‘Counting the Cost’ as we finish our training on Back to the Bible. We added a young couple to our prospect list who recently had their fourth child. A group of about 15 wrote 30 cards after our afternoon service, to be sent to our new prospects, and to a prodigal who was recently hospitalized. We have gathered enough materials to make 10 new movers’ baskets and hope to distribute them soon. We have five prospects; we wrote 30 cards, and we have five Bible studies. We have follow-up visits planned, and we have a new converts’ class on Sunday mornings. We made three visits, and had two visitors on Sunday.”
York church of Christ, Pennsylvania: Fred Nowell (elder) reports, “We do have some very good prospects close to studying. I have been teaching a class on the church that has been very well received, and there has been and will be growth. I am confident that these prospects will obey the gospel.”
St. Andrews Road church of Christ, Columbia, South Carolina: Robert Moore (elder) reports: “The new converts class continued with two in attendance; they were baptized about two weeks ago. A request was made to the congregation for contacts who had recently experienced a ‘life event.’ Three contact names were submitted that are candidates for compassion cards this week.”
Southern Hills church of Christ, Franklin, Tennessee: Fredrick Klein (preacher) reports, “We continue to have visitors each week, including new faces and returning guests. This week, we are preparing to send the next issue of the House to House, Heart to Heart publication to homes throughout our area in July. We also plan to begin participating in the New Movers program as soon as we receive our first batch of contacts. We appreciate prayers for these efforts to open doors for meaningful conversations and opportunities to share the gospel.”
Soddy church of Christ, Soddy Daisy, Tennessee: Joe Mallory (preacher) reports, “Praise God for whom all blessings flow! Jesse and Misti were baptized yesterday for the remission of sins! We are so happy for this precious couple whom God has added to His church, justifying them by the blood of Christ. We are so thankful for the opportunity to study with them over the past few weeks and watching them consider and obey the pure gospel. This week, we continue to build our relationships with our prospects and begin studying with some of them. We are preparing for our evangelistic outreach for the community on July 4. VBS will strategically begin right after the July 4 community outreach. We ask for prayers for this effort and for many prospects, and for the opportunity to meet and pray with receptive souls in need.”
Cookeville church of Christ, Tennessee: Daniel Burton (deacon) reports, “We are thankful to report that we had four families visiting with us this past Sunday. We were very encouraged. We currently have one Bible study underway that is progressing well. We have been walking through the book of Acts with a married couple. One of them comes from a Pentecostal background, and we are grateful for their openness and sincere interest in studying God’s Word. We appreciate continuing prayers for this family.”
Birdwell’s Chapel church of Christ, Cottontown, Tennessee: Kerry England (elder) reports, “Mason Sadler is working this summer on our digital media presence. He has been busy improving and tidying up our website. He is researching which platforms are most effective and where ads reach the intended audience. Instagram has been effective. He is advertising our “Unshakable” summer series and VBS. He will also be producing video ads for later events in the year to post at the appropriate times as the events draw near. A sweet lady who has been attending services and receiving cards is making sure she thanks everyone who has sent her a card. It is a great way to get to know someone. We appreciate all prayers.”
Hillcrest church of Christ, Springfield, Tennessee: Tim Taylor (evangelist) reports, “VBS is upon us! We have been blessed with many visitors, due to the efforts of our members and their willingness to invite others to hear the Gospel message this week. We are compiling contact information from our visitors as they register at the welcome table at the entrance to the building. Our prayer is that the contacts we are making this week will result in growth.”
White Bluff church of Christ, Tennessee: Shamron Jackson (elder) reports, “We had several visitors this past Sunday. Our church camp started Sunday evening. We request prayers that all goes well and that many seeds can be planted. Because of the camp, we are combining card groups next Sunday. We had a baptism on Saturday. We will try to get a picture for next week’s update. We also have four studies in process at the moment.”
Freewill church of Christ, Gainesboro, Tennessee (remote): Andrew Scott (preacher) reports, “Our work continues to be strong as ever. We had a very successful VBS that brought a new visitor, and we are flooding her with cards this week. She has been talking to her dad and mom, who are members, and asking Bible questions. Her heart is softened, and we pray for a lunch opportunity soon. Another one of our members brought her friend to services, and she has expressed a desire to come to the services more often when she gets a schedule change at work. We also had two other visitors. We have lunch scheduled with one of them in a few weeks, and we will send cards to the other visitor this week. I have two more Bible studies planned for this Saturday. We will begin Lesson 2 of Back to the Bible. Our members continue to give, and it has been incredible. They know their training! Lord willing, we will be doing our direct mailing of HTH again the first week in July. We will be hosting the Jackson County 4th Sunday Singing at the end of July, and we pray for visitors. We will be mailing out multiple flyers and using HTH to advertise. We give God the glory for all we do! We pray for a successful start to AMC.”
West Sparta church of Christ, Tennessee: Justin Turney (deacon) reports, “We have a couple of things we are working on currently. First, as I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, we almost have our billboard ready to go advertising spartabiblestudy.com. We are also continuing through the evangelism program. Right now, we do not have a Bible study. We are close to getting one with a lady who has been continuously coming. We also have another family who has experienced a lot of health problems, and they have been attending the church. We followed the program exactly when they hit these health issues, and we are hoping they are very close to coming back as faithful members of the church.”
Chapel Hill church of Christ, Tennessee: Matt Jones (deacon) reports, “Our VBS kicked off last night, and we had a great first night. We had 140 kids in attendance and close to 400 total. We have met and connected with many visitors and will continue to do so over the next few days. Our card writing team sent cards out this past week to several who had visited our services previously. Several visits were made to those who have recently finished on our card list. We do still have a couple of ongoing Bible studies among the congregation, so we continue to pray for those as well.”
Mountain Creek church of Christ, Chattanooga, Tennessee: Michael Tomshack (elder) reports, “The VBS season has commenced, and this year, we are utilizing Apologetics Press’ Flooded VBS curriculum. The registration process presents an opportunity to engage with parent prospects, who may be receptive to further study. While the children participate in their respective programs, parents can attend an adult class. This platform allows us to impart fundamental biblical concepts, such as creation and the flood, and to share the comprehensive gospel message with individuals who may not have encountered the supporting evidence for these foundational truths. We earnestly pray for God’s continued blessing and the fulfillment of His mission.”
Rivergate Church of Christ, Madison, Tennessee: Doug Tooley (preacher) reports, “We had VBS last week. We had 30-40 visitors each night. Some were family members who attended elsewhere, but we had a good number of contacts. On Sunday morning, we had seven visitors. Two were taken to lunch.
I had a discussion with a couple on Sunday night, and we are really close to baptism with the wife. The husband has a background in the church, but I am concerned that he may not have understood what he was doing at the time. Hopefully, I will have good news on this by next week. Also, last week, the ministry that Sue Crain works with at the Walnut Academy had four baptisms. These are troubled underage young ladies.”
Collierville church of Christ, Tennessee: Justin Evergarden (associate minister) reports, “We have now reached 23 visitors year-to-date and have mailed 532 cards into the community. Our prospect list currently stands at 37 contacts, and we are thankful to have four active Bible studies underway. We have also made five visits and delivered 48 New Movers baskets so far this year. One particularly encouraging development is that two additional Bible studies are expected to begin next week, bringing us to six ongoing studies, if all goes as planned. We are grateful to see doors continue to open, and interest in spiritual matters grow. Please keep these studies, our prospects, and the upcoming outreach effort in your prayers as we seek to build relationships and share the Gospel with our community.”
North Jefferson church of Christ, Mt Pleasant, Texas: Davin Whatley (associate minister) reports, “This past week, we went door-knocking on Wednesday and Thursday, and we made 13 contacts! We began writing cards to some of them yesterday. A couple of families said they will be coming to our VBS Kickoff on June 27. Our Send-Out Sunday went well, and we scheduled our visits for the next month. Three from our congregation will be attending AMC Roanoke starting this Saturday!”
Bridge Avenue church of Christ, Weslaco, Texas: Braulio Carvajal (evangelist) reports, “We are preparing for our VBS next week and have planned some outreach knocking leading up to VBS. We had a total of five visitors this week. We continue to have good attendance in our new classes. Three Bible studies are currently taking place.”
Centerville Road church of Christ, Garland, Texas: Alan Stevens (elder) reports, “We sent 24 cards this past week and are thankful more contacts continue to be submitted by the members here. We finished the lesson series on the booklets yesterday. It was so simple yet so refreshing to review the gospel in its simplicity. Yesterday was also the second week of the Bible class overview of the curriculum. Our brother teaching is doing an outstanding job leading a very motivating class. I am looking forward to Roanoke next week.”
Northern Oaks church of Christ, San Antonio, Texas: Mel Hutzler (preacher) reports, “This past week we had three Bible studies that remain active. All of those involved in the teaching are of high school and college age, teaching family members who are important to them. ‘Let no one despise you for your youth.’ We are thankful for their example.”
Bridgewater church of Christ, Katy, Texas: Doug Suggs (deacon) reports, “One of our card teams met Sunday evening, and we will be sending out about 33 cards to different ones this month. We also have a group of about seven people in the congregation going to Mexico for a week. They will be encouraging the church there and also doing Bible studies with contacts they make. We have a few people we are trying to contact at this time so that we might be able to study the scriptures with them. The young lady we baptized from Phoenix has been home and has gone to a congregation that was recommended. She has been attending services and is getting involved in the congregation since the last report given.”
Colleyville church of Christ, Texas: John Garza (regional trainer) reports, “With the summertime rolling in, we have many events taking place. One is the American Missions Campaign. Because we have been taking the opportunity to slow down on Bible studies and train more members, this event will give us the ability to further our training with many other members from Colleyville.”
Wheeler church of Christ, Texas: Garrett English (preacher) reports, “We had our first weekly VBS with 18 children from ages 1 to 12! They learned Hebrews 3:4. Two were new contacts, so we will send them cards as soon as we can. I studied with a young man in the church here on baptism a few weeks ago and have asked to follow up with him this week if possible.”
Stratford church of Christ, Texas: Chad Thies (preacher) reports, “Contacts: We had four visitors. Prospecting: We sent 20 compassion cards. Bible Studies: We had 1one Bible study. New Converts: We had two new convert classes on Sunday morning. We had three new convert classes on Wednesday. Growing church: We have opportunities to capitalize in the New Movers Program. We are planning and preparing to work with the Wylie church of Christ and Raoul/Misty Ferris in an upcoming VBS.”
San Saba church of Christ, Texas: Justin Bell (preacher) reports, “We had a great week in San Saba. We had a good giveaway on Thursday morning, and we now have eight more prospects. We have been delivering food to one of our current prospects and expect them to make the transition visit this week. We also have a door-knocking scheduled for this Saturday, as well as three new movers to visit.”
Seagoville church of Christ, Texas: Kodie Martin (evangelist) reports, “We have our plan for VBS! Marco preached an excellent sermon that showed the necessity of ensuring our events are centered on evangelism. We will have a three-point plan of contact. We will introduce/pass out a small package to our adults as they come in with their children. Then, since our VBS is at night, we will have a time for a class/fellowship for the adults to obtain contact information, and, lastly, we will do follow-up visits with pictures of the event to give to the families and their children. We are praying for many contacts/prospects from this event! All in all, our metrics so far for 2026 are: 246 visitors (new/returning); 34 visits; 712 cards; two restorations; 73 prospects; eight studies, and three baptisms.”
West Side church of Christ, Salem, Virginia: Jeff Durham (elder) reports, “We kicked off our summer teaching quarter in June by offering a Worship Training Class on Sunday mornings. All our teenage boys will be participating. We also offered this class to our new brothers in Christ, or any man interested in attending. This month, they will focus on public prayers, presiding over the Lord’s Supper and creating/presenting five-minute devotional talks. We hope this will especially encourage our newest members to build confidence in taking a lead role in our worship services.”
Lupelele church of Christ, American Samoa: Scott Broughton (missionary) reports, “Back in 2020, I made a contact, John R., and almost immediately asked him to study the Back to the Bible series. He declined. Skip ahead five years, and I had returned to American Samoa. When I saw John again, rather than ask for a study, I asked if he wanted to meet for breakfast. He did. After a few meetings, I asked again about a study, and he accepted. It took several months of study due to his busy schedule. As we got into the third booklet, I wanted to just tell him what to do. I did not. We have to let the Bible speak. John repented and was baptized for the remission of his sins. We must be patient and persistent.”
