Featured Work: Central church of Christ, Saraland, AlabamaEditor’s note: Each week, we have been impressed by how the Central church of Christ has made progress in implementing the HTHSOE model. Success is directly tied to elders leading, preachers training, and everyone trusting the process. Spiritual CPR We have sent out over 660 cards (about 150 per week), and we have seen the impact they can have. We have received feedback from some who have been getting the cards, and it has all been positive. It has been the kind of response you described. We are ready to make follow-up visits with some of them. We watched the training videos for Mission Mondays during last night’s evening worship. Now it is time to practice what we have learned. No one balked at the idea when I showed the video and suggested we start such a gathering soon. The response was, “Do we want to meet on Monday or Thursday?” Evangelism is becoming the fabric of our congregation. It is what we are made of. We use postcards every Sunday morning to gather prospects. The congregation is expecting that part of the service now. The New Converts class is going strong. The number of visitors we have every week has increased. It feels like we are settling into an evangelism routine, and that is a good thing. None of us have ever been part of this kind of evangelism, and it is exhilarating! We delivered one New Movers’ basket this week. Our next step is to set up Bible studies with the prospects who have received cards for four weeks. We also plan to start a Mission Monday class to prepare for those Bible studies. We are thankful for Reaching the Lost and all it contributes to the Lord’s Kingdom! This program is breathing spiritual life back into the Church! Congregational ReportsWelcome Hillcrest church of Christ, Springfield, Tennessee: We want to welcome the Hillcrest church of Christ to the House to House/Heart to Heart School of Evangelism. We were impressed by the attendance of the members, the leadership of the elders, and the faithfulness of the preachers. They are beginning the process on Sunday. Please pray for this congregation as they seek to reach the lost in their community. Glencoe church of Christ, Alabama: David Marker (elder) reports, “We had 41 visitors this past week, and our numbers have been upward each week. Many are involved in using our invitation cards, writing compassion cards, and delivering new mover baskets. We have ongoing studies along with some hot contacts who are great prospects. It is very encouraging to see everyone working together as we continue to foster relationships with many in the community.” Petersville church of Christ, Florence, Alabama: Adam Richardson (preacher) reports, “We started the Back to the Bible study on Sunday morning, and it was well received. That evening, we shared the transition lesson on making the visit, and we incorporated an activity with the children after worship to highlight the training. We sent 24 compassion cards in our second group effort, and next week we will introduce the evangelism table.” Hatton church of Christ, Alabama: Chris Miller (preacher) reports, “Studies are progressing, and we hope to have more baptisms soon. This Sunday, we had quite a few first-time visitors, and we will follow up with them soon. One of our recent prospects is in the hospital. We will visit him tomorrow, and we hope the door will open to more discussion with him.” Fayette church of Christ, Alabama: Josh Taylor (deacon) reports, “Chesley McDonald has attended the Hubbertville church of Christ for many months. Carson and I have the privilege of speaking there once a month. Chesley has had his mind on baptism for a while, and Carson and I have focused our sermons on the cross, hoping to prick Chesley’s heart. Today, Carson baptized Chesley into Christ. To God be the glory!” Canal Heights church of Christ, Demopolis, Alabama: Bryan Cook (preacher) reports, “The sermon series this month has been on evangelism. The first sermon was about how to overcome being ashamed in our world that we live in. The night sermon was on the Great Commission for Me. I included an exercise in how to make the call of Christ personal to each individual. I am adding the tools that we have available, such as bookmarks, contact cards, compassion cards, and our teaching aids. This weekend, we are going out as a group to do the new movers program. The ladies did a fantastic job of preparing our baskets and getting that area organized. This Sunday’s lessons will be on the role of prayer in our evangelism in the evening service. The morning lesson will be on Seasoning with Salt (how we use our everyday conversations to open up evangelism). We appreciate all prayers as we pray for the work everywhere.” West Huntsville church of Christ, Alabama: Paul Owen (associate preacher) reports, “Members are now making visits to prospects. It is amazing to see the impact that compassion cards are making. We currently have seven Bible studies ongoing. We will have our second ‘One Mission Meeting’ Sunday.” Rison church of Christ, Arkansas: Keden Shrum (preacher) reports, “On Sunday evening, Care Team B met to sign cards for three prospects. We had a visitor Wednesday evening, and she was added to the prospect list. She was not here Sunday, but she said she hoped to return next week.” Highway church of Christ, Benton, Arkansas: James Hutchings (deacon) reports, “We have had three baptisms this year. We sent out 11 compassion cards this past week. We also delivered two new mover baskets. Evangelism is so encouraging.” Malvern church of Christ, Arkansas (remote): David Burruss (preacher) reports, “Overall, early stages of training are progressing, and the congregation is eager and excited about learning. We just finished part 2 of John 4 and slowly reviewed the checklist. We had to order some additional supplies, but we have our evangelism table complete except for our target/goal board; we had to order bigger numbers so members could read the information more easily. From a prospect aspect, we are still in the early stages; we just introduced the contact bookmark last week. Currently, we still have five prospects and one active Bible study. However, two prospects are on the verge of being in Bible studies.” Lake City church of Christ, Florida: Jim Flegert (elder) reports, “Our worship visitation teams are rejoicing today for the opportunity to meet and greet two families who received new mover baskets last week. We all rejoice that one of our team members has secured a Bible study with one of the mover families. Our entire congregation continues to pray for our evangelism program and are thankful to God for these opportunities.” Niceville church of Christ, Florida: Joe Palmer (preacher) reports, “This week, we sent 35 cards and had two studies. We are preparing for a community Fish Fry in three weeks. We are going to mail all our new movers a personal invitation. We have additional studies scheduled. On Sunday, we had no new visitors, but several people who are in studies attended.” Peachtree City church of Christ, Georgia: Lew Foshee (elder) reports, “We continue to compile the list of visitors from our Walk4Water event and will begin sending thank you cards and an invitation to worship with us next week. We anticipate mailing cards to over 200 visitors. We appointed a deacon for our evangelism on Sunday. He will help facilitate the success of our evangelism program and essentially serve as a program manager. He is a very talented young man who has the requisite skills to serve in this capacity.” Bremen church of Christ, Georgia: Chris Stevenson (elder) reports, “Chad continued the series of sermons from John 4, focusing on Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan Woman at Jacob’s well. A perfect point was made from this sermon that challenged the congregation to consider that the Gospel is important enough for us to ‘leave our waterpot’ as the woman did in John 4:28. The elders plan to present an overview/update next Sunday evening (May 19) to the congregation, focusing on the HTHSOE Evangelism Model and what we all can do to participate in this critical series of actions. Several studies are also being conducted, as several members are involved and asking how they can be employed. We baptized Jaylen Shrader, the daughter of one of our newer converts, Ashley Adams.” Lafayette church of Christ, Georgia: Jesse Teague (deacon) reports, “We knocked doors Saturday. We have thirty souls in our area on our new movers list to visit. We had at least three new names (so far) who will receive cards and future visits. We included flyers for our upcoming VBS in our welcome packets. We are looking forward to using VBS as an opportunity to spread the gospel!” Woodstock church of Christ, Georgia: Matt Amos (preacher) reports, “During our ACTS (Actively Caring Teaching & Serving) Evangelism Program, we collected one contact card. On May 11, we had 16 members in groups of four who participated in the HTH door-knocking campaign. They visited 78 homes in the surrounding community. They made 21 contacts during this campaign, and one contact from the 21 will be added to the follow-up list with a contact card. The Prison Ministry Group is supporting several of Georgia‘s churches of Christ with the His Way Recovery Center for detainees who are recovering from their diseases and will need support once they are released from jail. This is another excellent way to get more Bibles Studies. The Compassion Cards Group sent 16 cards this week. The Greeter Group reported that WCOC had eight non-Christian visitors for Sunday worship. We had eight Bible studies this past week. One individual placed membership with our congregation, and we had one baptism.” New Hope Road church of Christ, Dacula, Georgia (remote): Charles Harris (regional trainer) reports, “I preached the second part of the sermon from John 4. More contacts were gathered. The Congregational Prospect List should be ready next Sunday. The church in Cartersville appointed two more elders on Sunday. Making It Operational will be presented next Sunday. In a couple of weeks, my family and I will begin working with the Cartersville church of Christ full time.” Beloit church of Christ, Kansas (remote): Dustin Dougherty (preacher) reports, “We have almost completed the Back of the Bible Book 3 booklet during our midweek Bible study on Wednesday nights. The section we have left is about counting the cost. Once we finish that, we will review Does it Matter, and become familiar with how to use that option if time is limited or if a fourth study is needed for conversion. Wednesday night, a young man who was in the area for turkey hunting stopped by during our study. He was from northern Mississippi, and he knew the Back to the Bible material. He asked for a couple of extra BTTB booklets because he was studying with a friend of his. I pray that he is able to convert his friend. I pray that many of our members will take what they have learned using the booklets and our study on personal evangelism and reach out to people that they have in their inner circles. I will begin a study using the Growing in Christ book this week, praying that the study goes well and helps increase this individual’s knowledge and desire to follow God and draw him closer. All glory and honor and praise to God.” Central church of Christ, Paducah, Kentucky: Adam Faughn (preacher) reports, “As was likely true with several other congregations, we enjoyed a large crowd Sunday. Much of that was due to Mother’s Day, but that was not the reason for all our guests. We had a good number from our local community, and we look forward to following up with them. We also gave our monthly ‘local evangelism’ report, and our members seem to appreciate this communication and its motivation, especially when we can report three baptisms in the previous month! On Friday, a few members went to the grand opening of our new Head Start (which is across the street from our church building) and reminded them that when school starts in the fall, we are ready to step in and help in many ways. Every student (about 250) took home a VBS flyer, and about 200 more were distributed to a local Christian school. We are working very hard on making VBS (June 2-5) much more evangelistic, and we would appreciate prayers toward that end.” La Plata church of Christ, Maryland (remote): Eric Sykes (regional trainer) reports, “We had four visitors this week. We wrote 14 compassion cards. We dropped off five gift bags to families on our compassion card mailing list. We had four folks attend the new convert Bible study class. Ten attended our advanced teacher training class. We still have several open Bible studies ongoing, and we have two new Bible studies. We appreciate all prayers and support.” Aberdeen church of Christ, Maryland: Will Brown (preacher) reports, “A wonderful lady obeyed the gospel after studying with her son, who has been a Christian for five months. He has been telling everyone how obeying the gospel has changed his life for the better. We plan shortly to study with more members of his family. We appreciate prayers for the other two ongoing studies. Praise God for this new soul.” Looxahoma church of Christ, Mississippi: Blake Hawkins (preacher), “On Saturday, our congregation set up a tent at a local craft fair. We passed out 98 Bibles along with many tracts. We used the event to evangelize and show hospitality in our small town. It was encouraging to have many positive interactions centered on Bible principles with the community. We are thankful to have participated in a wholesome, family-centered local event that allowed us to meet people who live in our area that we might not normally meet. On Sunday after the afternoon service, our compassion card writing team wrote cards for the week. We are continuing to deliver new mover baskets for the month as well.” East Main church of Christ, Tupelo, Mississippi: Barry Kennedy (preacher) reports, “We set up our evangelism table and plan to frame and display one of our posters above the table this week. On Sunday, we covered the first six points of the lesson on John 4. We also distributed the bookmarks and asked everyone in the congregation to list ten souls by the next Lord’s Day. The elders, Wade, and I met Monday night to discuss appointing Wade as the general coordinator and plans for how to transfer names to the contact cards next Sunday morning. Seeing that this is still a little confusing for many, we decided Wednesday night to distribute some of the training cards. Then during the evangelistically focused devo, we will remind people to develop their lists of names, emphasizing they will need addresses, and pray for them daily. Four of the ladies who coordinate the compassion cards have been trying to get their game plan together. Lord willing, we plan to order visitation cards on Tuesday. This Lord’s Day, we will have Part 2 of the John 4 lesson. The elders decided that we would ask the members for names of people who are dealing with cancer, surgeries, or any other major medical issues for the contact cards this time. We are blessed to see the initial interest and excitement in the congregation! We keep reminding ourselves, however, to take ‘one bite at a time!’ To God be the glory!” Foristell church of Christ, Missouri: Aaron Baker (preacher) reports, “We are keeping our nose to the grindstone! How? First, we make weekly new movers visits. These may not all result in many service visitors or instant Bible studies, but we are planting seeds. In addition, when we have good conversations at the door, we offer to pray for those people and send compassion cards if they need encouragement. We also add these people to our mailing lists for VBS, Friends & Family days, and other events to keep planting and watering those seeds. We currently have three ongoing Bible studies. We appreciate prayers for Heidi, Dakota and Jennifer, and Carrie as we share God’s word with them, including His plan for everyone and His gift of Jesus for our salvation.” West End Blvd church of Christ, Cape Girardeau, Missouri: Jared Scaggs (preacher) reports, “We had a good Mother’s Day as we started the training for Book 3 of the Back to the Bible. Things seem to be running more smoothly as people settle into their roles. It is so great to see the congregation happily setting themselves to the work of expanding the kingdom’s borders! We have nine congregational prospects.” Samford church of Christ, Steel, Missouri: Kyle Imel (deacon) reports, “Last night, we held our monthly prayer service to pray for those on our bookmarks and those to whom we send compassion cards. We also prayed for the four baptisms we have had this year. Visits from compassion cards are ongoing.” East Flushing church of Christ, New York (remote): Clarence Jenkins (preacher) reports, “We had a visitor who has been coming consistently to worship services; we hope to continue a Bible study with him soon. We had two visitors who have been coming to worship services when they are able. We thank God that they feel comfortable with us and have stated that they will be back. We have several ongoing Bible studies currently. We appreciate all prayers.” Cary church of Christ, North Carolina: Larry Fife (preacher) reports, “Last week was a bit slower for us. Our Connect Group didn’t meet on Sunday due to Mother’s Day. We’re now using a spreadsheet for the congregation to track their evangelism activities. We’ll know in a few weeks how effective this is. Currently, we have two active Bible studies and hope to see them bear fruit soon. We continue to work our plan and are thankful for God’s blessings.” Carthage church of Christ, North Carolina (remote): Randy Chambers (preacher) reports, “Last week, three Bible Studies were conducted. One study is the continuation of BTTB Lesson 3 with prospects who struggle with the conditions of salvation. He sees that what he did to be saved is not according to what the Bible teaches. After we dealt with the thief on the cross doctrine and the man-cannot-obey God smoke screen, we were able to move a little further in our study and scheduled our next study for this week. The other two studies are going well as we deal with the authority of the Bible. The congregation mailed out compassion cards to one prospect.” Streetsboro church of Christ, Ohio: Ralph Price (preacher) reports, “With yesterday being Mother’s Day, we had several visitors. We gave them visitor bags and put them on our compassion card list. I was able to get one Bible study set up for this week. I have two more visits scheduled for later in the week. I hope those pan out as well.” Greenville church of Christ, Ohio: John McGiffin (preacher) reports, “Two weeks ago, we printed a list of 40 former members or regular visitors who still live in the area. I asked members to ‘adopt’ someone on the list and then visit and call that person send cards, and make sure he or she received the prodigal issue of HTH. It was good to see people step out of their comfort zone. We are trying to match members with a “ministry” that will produce fruit for the Kingdom. One person who has been hesitant to approach anyone has approached three in the last two weeks. She was a bit down because they did not respond the way she wished them to respond. One of the prodigals was happy to go to a community church where their kids were ‘plugged in’ to the youth activities. Sadly, churches feel they should become parks and recreation departments instead of the church. Another was a “community church” preacher she passed bicycling in the neighborhood. She asked about his “church.” He indicated they only partook of the Lord’s Supper when the lesson prompted it. She let him know what her Bible had to say. She would never have had the courage to defend the gospel in the past. A third person has avoided coming around her house since she was invited to a Ladies’ Day Tea at the building. I have reminded her, ‘Many are called, but few are chosen.’ She is determined to find someone who is willing to study.” New Concord church of Christ, Ohio: Terry Townsend (preacher) reports, “I decided to preach a Sunday night sermon on ‘Evangelism’ with the hope of stoking the evangelistic fires. We have had zero contact cards filled out in recent weeks. One of our elders got up last evening and asked members to look for individuals who might like to receive compassion cards. We are still getting visitors. One new visitor came yesterday morning; we hope to follow up this week. We completed Lesson 2 of Back to the Bible with one of our prospects and plan to study Lesson 3 with him later this week. He is very receptive and seems to be grasping what is being taught very well.” Coweta church of Christ, Oklahoma: Keno Shrum (regional trainer) reports, “On Wednesday, I studied with Chris R. We went through Lesson 2 of BTTB. Chris is a great young man who comes from a family of non-believers. However, his grandmother Lela, baptized a year ago, has been a shining light for Chris. She has taught and set an example for him, and he is very close to accepting God. We are going through Lesson 3 this week, and I feel strongly he will recognize what needs to be done. I am thankful for Lela and the teacher and guide she has been for Chris. Many people, Timothy for example, have come to God through the teachings of their mothers and grandmothers. When husbands, dads, and grandfathers fall short, I am thankful for these Godly women who teach and mold their young. “I will travel to Cheyenne, Oklahoma, to work with a congregation using the remote enrollment this weekend. They are a small congregation desperately needing help, growth, and prayers. I ask that all reading this report keep them in your prayers as they begin their efforts to evangelize and rejuvenate their congregation!” Sullivan Village church of Christ, Lawton, Oklahoma: Steven Hill (preacher) reports, “I have the third study scheduled on Thursday. An elder, Monte, is scheduled to have surgery tomorrow to remove a blockage in the upper small intestine. We appreciate prayers for him. I hope to start studies with a young man and his girlfriend soon. I am preaching through Paul’s letter to the Philippians. Paul truly loved them for their partnership in the gospel and for not being ashamed of his chains!” York church of Christ, Pennsylvania: Mark Raschke (deacon) reports, “We continued to reach out and maintain conversations with newer members who were absent and trying to get to know our new regular visitor. He does not say much, but at least he hears the gospel preached and knows we care about him.” Union church of Christ, South Carolina (remote): Terry Hale (preacher) reports, “We began a new study with Mitch using Back to the Bible. He is such a gentleman. He is 80 years old, has just lost his wife, and has some health issues. This week, we have three more visits for those receiving compassion cards. Our evangelism training and other studies continue. We appreciate the training videos. To God be the glory.” North Bradley church of Christ, Cleveland, Tennessee: Keith Wilson (preacher) reports, “We have a few active studies ongoing using Back to the Bible. In addition, we have some hot contacts in our area.” Mountain Creek church of Christ, Chattanooga, Tennessee: Michael Tomschak (elder) reports, “Gary Massey (Elder/Minister) continues a Bible study with a guest from the local community. He and Don Hedrick (Elder) continue a Bible study with the couple mentioned previously. Gary is setting up a counseling study with a frequent guest. We have a compassion card recipient who is an employee of a Bible study teacher. Through prayerful consideration, the Elders decided to assign another teacher to initiate contact and conduct the study, if granted. The employee has a long active history in a denomination. Of foremost concern is obeying God’s commands. We pray for wisdom as we submit to God’s will and navigate employment law in a manner that does not forbid making compassion card contact with other employees of our teachers who are business owners or supervisors of employees.” East Ridge church of Christ, Chattanooga, Tennessee: Charles Cochran (preacher) reports, “Hi Rob. We have had two baptisms at East Ridge this Sunday. A teenager came to visit and asked about baptism. One of our teens met and talked with him at a recent area-wide singing at our building. The teen returned this last Sunday, and one of our men, Mike Frost, taught him. He decided to be baptized Sunday afternoon before our worship. His uncle and cousins came to see the baptism. Also, a dad, Jared Hueter, baptized his daughter Caroline after the worship services on Sunday night. It was a great day. We continue to have other Bible studies each week. Thank you, Rob, for your encouragement. God bless all you and your family continue to do.” Hebron church of Christ, McMinnville, Tennessee: Derrick Stiles (preacher) reports, ““Things are still progressing for the work at Hebron. The compassion card program will begin on May 26. We have divided the congregation into four teams, with coordinators for each team. We continue teaching the scheduled evangelism curriculum and have received positive feedback. We currently have two Bible studies at work. We are eager to continue implementing the new programs and growing. Please continue to pray for us as we push forward!” Rivergate church of Christ, Madison, Tennessee: Doug Tooley (preacher) reports, “We have been working on some of the suggestions we were given by Rob on lighting in our foyer and auditorium. Lights were replaced already in the foyer. The ceiling will be painted in the auditorium, and the lights will be upgraded there as well. Sue Crain has permission for two more baptisms, which were requested by the young ladies with whom she works; we mentioned her in our last report. She is praying this will happen this week. We are on the fourth round of cards with some people on our list. The elders will evaluate this situation on Tuesday night to determine where to go with these people. A family wants a Bible study but speaks little English. We have some members identified who speak Spanish and will be spearheading this study. We gave them the Spanish version of Back to the Bible on Sunday. One of our elders feels he is very close to a Bible study with a young lady he and his wife have been encouraging.” Hillsboro church of Christ, Tennessee: Chris Sliger (member) reports, “Card Team C sent group cards this week to six former compassion card contacts. These group cards maintain communication between the church and former contacts who do not attend anywhere. One of our contacts who has been meeting with Ronnie Pool is now attending Fredonia church of Christ. Roy and Joni continue to meet with the Colvaines. We will be visiting with the May 24 new movers over the next few weeks.” East Main church of Christ, Murfreesboro, Tennessee: Brad Rowley (elder) reports, “We completed two visits and delivered ten new mover baskets. We have three on-going Bible studies.” McKenzie church of Christ, Tennessee: Randy McAdams (elder) reports, “We are continuing to work out the process of connecting the congregation with the value of using the Bookmark/Prospect cards and the Contact cards. Yesterday evening, May 12, we showed the congregation the video “Quantity vs. Quality” (QvQ). Next Sunday, Lord willing, we will explain the concept of QvQ to the church with the hope that our members will produce more contacts. We are also happy and thankful to announce one more baptism last week; a lady who has been suffering from cancer for several years decided to put on Christ. We praise our Lord for this decision by Mrs. Lyles.” Brushy church of Christ, Centerville, Tennessee: Kevin Johnston (preacher) reports, “Today we sent out 52 compassion cards, and many members took an active part in sending the cards. We were greatly encouraged to see almost all of the team present to sign the cards, and the team leaders are taking an active role in carrying out their responsibilities. We also received three new contacts this week. We are also making plans for our annual VBS in three weeks, which has always been a big event that draws many from our community. We appreciate all prayers.” New Union church of Christ, Manchester, Tennessee: Paul Fulks (elder) reports, “We had one visitor from the community on Sunday. Our members submitted six contacts to be prospected. We sent out 47 compassion cards. We delivered two new mover baskets and made four visits to prospects. We also had our Mission Monday meeting to discuss the work.” Chapel Hill church of Christ, Tennessee: Matt Jones (deacon) reports, “We started the week on a very positive note. This past Sunday, we added a new sister in Christ. One of our members had been studying with his girlfriend, and she obeyed the gospel! Praise God! We invited her and her boyfriend to begin attending the new converts class, so we hope to add more attendees there as well. Speaking of that, the class is still going well. Four new mover baskets were delivered, and we will get reports on how those went this week. We paused our card writing for Mother’s Day but plan to continue next week. We are increasing our advertising for our upcoming VBS, which has grown year after year. We plan to have a door-knocking effort a week before VBS. Overall, our efforts remain strong in the work for our Lord!” Covington church of Christ, Tennessee: Wayne Dalrymple (elder) reports, “We are mailing welcome-to-the- community cards to new movers each month. One contact we have made is Kimberly, a young adult who is looking for opportunities to participate in community service. She met my daughter, Anna Kate, who told her about our Monday Night for the Master program, when we write cards, among other encouragement works. Kimberly has come to write cards on several occasions. She attends a denomination in the area but has visited our services several times. We hope to grow our relationship with her so that it might lead to a study. Recently, a former member from decades past named David asked for forgiveness for neglecting attendance and not being a Christ-like example. We rejoice in his restoration. Plans have been made for some of us to participate in the AMC in Collinsville, Illinois, and for a group to go back to Hawaii and help the church in Waihiawa with an AMC-style campaign. We are praying the seed will be planted and watered in all of these works.” Southwest church of Christ, Austin, Texas: John Garza (regional trainer) reports, “While there are many things still going on at the Southwest congregation, we still have a lot of work to do in evangelism. The machine is running smoothly, and when things seem to be slowing down, we go back to the basics: contacts. Without contacts, we will have no prospects; without prospects, we have no Bible studies. We have a few studies in progress, and one will be starting Book 3 this week. Just last week, we worked through Book 1 of Back to the Bible.” Buda Kyle church of Christ, Texas: Ronnie Scherffius (preacher) reports, “We are presently working to organize transition teams to make our cards and visits the most effective.” Bridgewater church of Christ, Katy, Texas: Doug Suggs (deacon) reports, “We are trying to get more contacts at Bridgewater. We received several names in the last two weeks. We are doing some training in our Wednesday Bible class.” Canyon Lake church of Christ, Texas (remote): Raoul Ferris and Jesse Stuart (evangelists) reports, “We continue to work the evangelism model. Some of our studies were canceled last week, but we studied with 13 people. We know that we have much work to do because, in each of these studies, we find individuals who have fallen victim to false teachings regarding salvation and the church. We are also having a few topical and group studies. On Mondays until the end of the month, we will be hosting our Coping class at the local library at 6:00 p.m. From this class, we have made several good contacts. We have two couples who want marital counseling. Lastly, we have three ongoing new convert studies.” Wheeler church of Christ, Texas: Garrett English (preacher) reports, “We continue to send compassion cards. We make visits after several weeks of cards. We are preparing for Vacation Bible School.” Granbury Street church of Christ, Cleburne, Texas: Ryan Cowan (deacon) reports, “Clark Lehtinen, one of our elders, is attempting to study with the next-door neighbor of one of our recent converts, Audrey LaFountain. Clark’s prospect, Danny, has a history with the Lord’s church. Clark is working with Danny to bring him back to the correct prospective of the Lord’s church. Kerista continues to meet with three contacts at a nursing home in Fort Worth. Kerista is in Book 3 with Irma and Debbie. Kaitley will be reviewing Does it Matter with the third contact, Donna, who is suffering from bone cancer. Our elders have planned for potential baptisms since one of these contacts is wheelchair-bound. We appreciate all prayers.” Graceton Church of Christ, Diana, Texas: Johnny Willeford (elder) reports, “We enjoyed Sunday morning with a breakfast for our moms and our guests. We had six visitors worship with us, and we heard a very good lesson from Scott. Our Group B signed 34 compassion cards for four new contacts. My wife and I will start a Bible study this week with a couple who has visited us for several months. We appreciate prayers for successful studies. We will have a VBS planning meeting this coming Sunday.” 9th and Main church of Christ, San Angelo, Texas: Bryan Braswell (elder) reports, “We have probably six to ten ongoing studies. I have been studying with Mike, a Baptist, for a couple of months and he was baptized. This baptism is a result of using Back to the Bible. We share contacts and new contacts every week.” NOTE: These reports are from Christians and congregations enrolled in the House to House/Heart to Heart School of Evangelism. These emails are sent to teach and provoke one another to remain focused on the mission of Christ. Each week, we share several reports and highlight one with more details. We hope you enjoy reading them. For additional HTH speaking appointments, go to:
